Everything! The entire hotel was lovely, exceptionally clean and the location was great, not far from the centre but also close to Angkor Wat Heritage sites. My stay there was perfect. The hotel arranged my airport pick-up and from arriving to leaving the staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast team who made me the amazing cups of coffee in a morning were fantastic and the buffet breakfast included with my stay was always tasty and a good selection. I stayed in a poolside chalet/bungalow and it could not have been any better - spacious, modern design and very comfy bed! Throughout my stay it was quiet and peaceful and the pool was great too! As a solo female traveller - I felt safe at all times wherever I ventured. I can’t speak highly enough about my stay here at Grand Venus and in Cambodia as a whole - what a wonderful hotel, country and such friendly, welcoming people!

Nothing to dislike!

The hotel is frankly in the middle of a less busy local area which might seem a bit strange, however it’s perfectly secluded so you can feel safe and undisturbed for the whole stay. Positioned relatively close to the Angkor Wat complex, it’s a perfect gateway for exploring the temples. The room was spacious and clean, beds were comfortable, toiletries (even toothbrushes) are provided. The staff of the hotel (especially Mr. Thomas and the service staff) is superb - they are kind, attentive and very accommodating. The breakfast had a variety of different options, all from classic continental to asian-oriental food, including fresh fruit like mango, watermelon, passionfruits. The hotel also has a centrally located infinity pool which is clean and well-maintained, making it perfect to relax after exploring the angkor areas.

There was a smell coming from the toilet area, probably from the drain pipes, which could be improved. Also I would highly recommend to the hotel owner to improve the lighting in the bathroom as it is very poor and can sometimes make it hard to see what you’re doing (especially when inserting contact lenses, doing makeup). The sound isolation of the rooms could also be improved, as certain guests can be quite loud and you would hear them coming back to the hotel or talking in their room.

My room was clean and spacious! The location was perfect. It was a little outside the madness, which loved but still only a 10 min tuktuk ride into the centre! The staff were amazing. They were so friendly, kind and helpful. In particular Thomas. He helped me out with all my requests, big and small and always with a smile on his face! He gave me loads of suggestions of fun things to do and also booked shows and buses for me to make my life a little easier! He was just wonderful 🫶

I stayed in room 118 and I wanted to have a bath one evening but the plug didn’t work so I couldn’t fill it! Also, the water wasn’t hot for the shower! Other than that, my stay was amazing! I would highly recommend the Grand Venus La Residence

The location a bit out of town and closer to the temple area which meant that you saved 10-15 minutes driving time, which is much appreciated when going out to watch the sunset. And there was no car or motorbike noise at all. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was super friendly and always happy to help with any issue.

As the hotel is located out of town it is in a residential area which leads to waking up to the call of a rooster or the barking of dogs. Not much the hotel can do about it but you should be aware of that.

Spacious clean room with terrace, bathtub and Pool access. All was functional and very convenient. Complimentary coffee/tea, water in the room. All toiletries like shampoo, shower gel, dental kit etc. as well as hair dryer and a cosmetic / shaving mirror were available. Beds with double pillow for each guest, seating and working area, fridge, safety box, cable TV and a super comfy bed. Breakfast was included with a small but good buffet which also included yogurt, fruits, muesli, hot dish like noodle and sausage, croissant, toast, juice etc. and additional breakfast menu to choose from like American or Asian Breakfast. Also egg dishes are cooked to order. Staff is excellent and shows great Cambodian hospitality. Swimming pool is huge and open until 10 pm which was perfect because in day time it was too hot. I had dinner in their restaurant Khmer Red Chicken Curry with Jasmine Rice and it was good. Additional to the prices in the menu there is a 10% VAT and 10% Service charge which wasn't a problem for me. All over it was a great stay in a beautiful hotel and I throughout recommend to book your stay here.

Nice property................Staffs are very helpful and cooperative... especially Mr Thomas at the reception and restaurant staff Mr.Thom (not sure about the spelling). They does a great job to ensure our stay is comfortable.....Location is little remote,, but if you get introduced to a tuk tuk driver, they can come as per your request at any time and at very low cost.............Restaurant and swimming pool are also good.

For rooms in second floor, stairs are the only option. so we will have to take hotel staff help if we have big luggages with us. Please note that they are always ready to help us,

Pretty much everything was spot on. Thomas on the front desk and the delightful young girl who also worked in reception were brilliant. The team went out of their way to deliver quality friendly accomodating service. The facilities were great, grounds well kept, our room was large, clean and serviced daily, there was good wifi and the flat screen TV worked well. Many other hotels could benefit a lot by following what Grand Venus La Residence does. Located a short little distance from the center of town meant that it was nice and quiet.

Food in the restaurant was a little pricey.

We booked for 4 night stay for 2 people. Rooms and beds were very comfortable. While it's not in the city centre, it was easy to commute via GRAB TukTuk to markets and restaurants. Breakfast and coffee was basic but good start to the day. They even gave us packed breakfast on the day we left early morning for sunrise tour. Staff is very helpful and polite. All in all a great and quiet place to stay.

A spa along with the pool would have been good, although we didn't have much time to use the pool.

We loved that it was close to the temples. My 9 year old son was able to ride with us. The hotel and staff were wonderful!! They helped with booking and bike rental. The pool was clean and we were able to eat next to the pool, which my son loved. Breakfast was solid for it being include in the price. The beds and pillow were comfortable and the TV had some english channels to choose from as well. Overall, great for the price! We would book there again.

There were no easy to get to places to eat. But we understood that when booking. The only other thing that I can think of is the pool towels were not always at the pool. But staff were quick to bring them when asked.

Staff are all excellent and helpful. Property is well kept. Swimming pool is smaller than the picture shown on its website, but good enough and clean. The location of the hotel is a little off road, but not far from major roads.

I guess I shouldn't rely too much on the pictures. Actually the hotel's pictures on the website gave me a really high expectation. Also I was expecting a 5 stars hotel. But it's not so much of a 5 stars hotel to be frank. I guess I would give it a 4 stars to be max. The breakfast didn't have much variety of food than I'd expected. And inside the restaurant was really hot, they didn't turn on aircon...so we sat outside and used their fan instead. The room wasn't as big as the picture shown.
