QUIET room and location. Off the street with space to move outside. Has a pool. Aircond worked well. Had a lock box. Had a fridge. Cleaned daily. Close to all markets in a number of directions. Very friendly and helpful staff. Maps of the city were free. Good value for money

TV did not work. Very poor breakfast provided, very small choice.

Great value, big reception lobby, beautiful pool and outdoor area, nice simple breakfast sandwich served w/ instant coffee and fruit wedges. Tuk-Tuk always parked outside lobby for quick journey, or walking is convenient to restaurants and market. Reception can assist for tour transport/guide, no daily housekeeping, staff is professional, polite, nice AC and hot water. Only real downer to this 2 nite stay is the bed…it’s feels like a sheet of plywood.

Reserved on Booking.com, provided Credit Card info, arrive at Solar and run the Visa thru pad and Somphors, the reception clerk asks for 4 digit pin #…. I explain it is not Debit card. She looks bewildered as if this is the first time it has happened. We go thru this game 4 or 5 times and then I ask for friends debit card to pay. Run to liquor store, use Visa and same thing happens, but clerk pulls out another credit card pad that is used only for credit cards and purchase is accepted. Mgt at Solar Hotel, if you only accept cash or debit card at check in, pls place that in your listing.

It is a newly constructed hotel a bit further away from the town and about 12 minutes walk. Breakfast was very basic and same thing was served every morning and there is room for improvement if they want to attract international guests. Drinking water was freely available for the guests through a dispenser located in the lobby. Staff members were very helpful and pleasant. There was a design issue in the bathroom and water flows to dry area of the bathroom during a shower. Bed was comfortable but pillows were not. There are local eateries around the hotel that serve western and local food. Price we paid was very reasonable and the overall experience was fairly positive so we recommend this hotel for budget conscious travellers despite some issues.

The hotel room was lovely and its excellent value for the price. The pool was nice to swim in but over our three days I didn’t see it be cleaned. Comfiest hotel bed I’ve slept on in Cambodia As backpackers, we usually try to pick a hotel with breakfast and make the most of it and we knew the reviews for the breakfast here weren’t great but didn’t expect it to be quite so bad. Consider your booking without breakfast because all you will get is a fried egg and slice of toast. Two of you specify. There is no buffet etc. I would still book here again for the price but tell myself breakfast isn’t included

The breakfast was a miserable portion

The hotel was super clean and the staff were very welcoming. My room was big and had everything you needed. The breakfast is simple - for me totally fine, I asked for seconds a couple of days and nobody minded. I really enjoyed my stay here, quiet location but just a short walk into town. I felt very welcome and looked after here, all the staff were smiley and happy.

Treadmill in the gym was a little bit ropey at higher speeds (runner specific problem). Some cushions on the sun loungers would be nice.

Staff were super nice, sweet and professional! Good location, 10min walking from Old Market and nice restaurants all around. Beds were comfy, rooms well cleaned. Breakfast is simple but tasty. In-house laundry service is very convenient!

Swimming pool is mostly in the shadow and a bit cold, so there is room for improvement here. Also FYI there is currently construction next door so it was noisy at times. But only during the day so not a major issue.

Everything! I have been 3 months in vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, stayed at lots of places, this hotel was the best easily , price , wifi, beds , I had room with balcony over the pool, the hotel was spotless clean 😀, and they were good with helping to hire motorcycle etc onsite , ( mayb slightly dearer to hire them onsite but so much easier ).. the location perfect , everything was around you, supermarket, food outlets you name it! And breakfast very good to!! There was one staff member who I have to mention, her name is Nari , she made me totally feel like I was at home, went way and beyond to help me in anything, and smiles all the time , so nice compared to some in hospitality! Nari you are very good at your job the best and I thankyou..the price I pd for this place was very very good to, I honestly recommend this I honestly do, stayed in lots of places in my 3 months on the road in sth east Asia, this is the best easily on all fronts..

Even if I tried, I'd find nothing to not like!

The receptionist staff are awesome. Always very welcoming and answered all my questions. They helped me book the Small Tempel Tour and a VIP van from Seam Reap to Phnom Penh. The room was great. Plenty of space, soft towels, firm mattress, multiple plug-in by the bed, plenty of space. It was nice enough that I thought about spending another week there instead of going to my next destination. They served 3 breakfast options, which I was offered as part of my booking. I preferred the option with toast, lol. The location is walk distance to the city center or a $1usd tuk tuk ride. There are some local stores, restaurants, and a pharmacy/chemist near the hotel entrance. I would 100% stay here again.

The only negative and reason I didn't give 10 stars was the shower floor being extremely slippery. The shower floor was not angled properly causing water to stand at the opposite side of the drain. Which is the entrance into the shower. I almost slipped and fell a few times. You have to take small steps.

Nice staff, very nice room, quiet location, not too far from town, good value

The breakfast is so basic. Better skip it. Didn't use the pool. It didn't look clean. Oh also was having trouble with the key card reader it was out of batter. They gay me a old fashioned key instead, but it took more than a day for them to replace the batteries and get the card to work.

- Products in the room; shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, shower cap, cotton buds, cotton pads, water, tea, coffee. - Facilities in the room; quiet and good working AC, safe, kettle, fridge, sockets close to the bed. - Amazing, smiling, helpful, nice staff. - Washing machine, washing powder free for use and space outside to dry your clothes. - Elevator. - Nice, bright design of the interiors. - Not in the area of noise in the city. - Comfortable, clean, bed. - Tasty breakfast, you can ask for more if you are still hungry.

- Noise from the corridor is noticable inside the room. - Breakfast is a little monotonous.
