unbeatable value! sure it’s a hostel and you share a room with other folks but this is about as cozy as it gets! Decided to NOT go with a nearby mlrel which cost $65 a few years ago and now wants $300 for accommodations that are nowhere near as nice as this at only $44. plus I got to meet some fellow travelers, went for a beer a the pub a block away and had a fabulous breakfast next door at the Big Bend Cafe. Staff was super friendly and the facilities were spotlessly clean!

well it is a hostel and there was some light snoring from a bunk mate but that was no big deal.

Great facilities with plenty of space and resources for everyone, including a large kitchen with lots of clean utensils, pots and pans, great and sizeable storage for food items and multiple stove tops so that everyone cooking had plenty of space. The common area was large with lots of places to relax even when it was busy. Great location, walkable to all key spots in town and free parking.

No option for recycling soft plastics nor compost of food scraps. The landfill contribution of the hostel would be significantly less if a compost option for food scraps and left overs was available.

Found dreamcatcher kind of last minute. Was happy to find a hostel as opposed to an Airbnb I really enjoy the ambience of a hostel. Hostile many years ago in Europe This was similar. I am a senior and was assigned a six-bed dorm with five other young people. Was a good experience! I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I found the room to be very warm. Did not get up to open the window I was unsure of how the other occupants would feel about that. Other than that I was fine no complaints.

Vibe was really chill. Hostel is clean, great location, plenty of parking, kitchen is a good size, bathroom is light and clean, and they have a really nice lounge/dining area. Victor was also superb! He's super friendly, gave lots of advice on trails, looked out for you, and was great conversation. He even joked that he would quote me for his résumé! I honestly have a little crush on Victor! Other staff are also really friendly and very helpful, I extended my stay for another night and they rearranged the schedule so that I could stay in my bed.

The only thing is that the toilet flush handle was a bit jammy but literally that is a super tiny thing you can get around! I also wished they put a board at the end of the bed facing the door as light would come in but an eyemask fixed that. They had a curtain and it only affected my bunk as the end faced the door, all other bunks in my dorm had complete cover.

Staff are super friendly Shoes off hostel so super clean and cosy vibe Great kitchen facilities, plenty of space to cook and keep food, no horrible cramped fridges Beds are great, feel like little pods with privacy curtain for each bed and a light each Big comfy area with sofas to relax The location is perfect, just off the main road and close to all the shops, coffee shops, farmers market, river, etc.

Just small stuff that could be improved to make this one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in: - It’s super difficult to get in the front door with the key, not ideal especially if it’s late at night, really needs fixing ASAP - Only one small shelf to put things in the bathroom when showering - more space to put things while trying to shower and get ready would be great - I found it pretty chilly inside but staff did give extra blankets/duvets if asked!

I was pleasantly surprised with this hostel, the cleanest and best-organized of any I've stayed in -- you take off your shoes at the door and the kitchen is spotless. There are plenty of cooking implements and nice tables: it was once a restaurant, I think. There was a bulletin board with ride share information and local events. It was very convenient, within walking distance of the town and shops. Our double room was comfortable and quiet and had a nice working desk.

I'd loved to have had an en suite toilet, but otherwise it was good value for the money.

Walking distance to all great restaurants and bars in town. The property felt very comfortable, safe, and cozy. Plenty of room in kitchen and living area to hang out and socialize with other guests. The staff was incredible and so friendly and accommodating. I will 100% be back!

Fantastic place to stay. Clean, spacious, comfortable, affordable (!), and relatively close to all state-of-the-art nature spots in Canadian Rockies. Very professional staff keep this place cozy and welcoming to everyone.

Asians frying some weird sea worms at 6:30 am that smelled like hell should refrain from cooking it...

I was most impressed with the location, the cleanliness, the ample lounge and common area, the staff friendliness and hospitality., the comfort and width and privacy available for the bunk beds In the dorm . Everything seemed to be clean and spacious. It was quiet. Great value for the single traveller in high season.

Nothing much at all. It was perfect for an overnight stay, waiting for the highway to open.

We loved the cozy atmosphere, the fireplace, the great community and boardgames! Also the duvets deserve a special mention, super comfortable. It was very clean and the kitchen well equipped, lively and still nicely organized - and we very much loved the free tea and coffee :) Walking distance to bars and shops in Golden and close to the highway. Great facilities also for skiers. We would have loved to stay longer and very much understand that some people keep extending their stay.
