Beach views, sound of waves crashing gently onto the shore. 3rd floor room had balcony & kitchenette facilities. Clean bathroom with good shower pressure. Fantastic, friendly property manager. Good wifi. Wildlife viewing (bald eagles, deer, seals, waterfowl). Excellent restaurants nearby. Easy access to beach walks. Short drive into village. Even saw an entire rainbow! This was our second stay here.

We had a lot of rain, but that’s not the property’s fault, it is November in B.C., so we were just glad it wasn’t snowing! We still spent a lot of time walking by the sea and exploring the village.

The property had a charming appearance and was well maintained. There was enough parking even when fully booked. I personally loved all the flower baskets and the nice landscaping at the front. The property provided all the necessities like washing machine, dryer, hairdryer etc. All rooms had ocean view and if lucky you could spot seals in the water. I loved the view and our room had two chairs and a bay window which gave you the perfect viewing cold days.

The Island Highway was running between the property and the beach and it could become very noisy during the day. The area seemed to be frequently visited by motor bike riders and this contributed mostly to the noise level. The room was very small and so was the balcony. I personally found it difficult to be confined to such a small space even if it was just in the evening. I had booked a room with a kitchenette but unfortunately there was no countertop to actually even prepare a proper breakfast. I can’t really comment on the staff, since there was only minimal interaction but if you needed something like toilet paper etc. everyone we encountered was friendly.

The property has a gorgeous ocean view, it is extremely clean and the staff were very welcoming. Beautiful location and rooms. It is evident that care is taken in looking after this property. I loved the back area with the swing and gazebo. The window table and chairs as well as the outdoor chairs by each room were a great feature. A wonderful place to relax and watch the sea lions and sea otters play in the water. Beautiful view of the sunrise as well.

We would have preferred a king bed but maybe there were none available.

The staff is very welcoming and kind!!! The room was really clean and comfortable, it was cold enough as soon as we got there, which appreciate coming from a 30 temperature. The jacuzzi was really clean and in perfect condition the views are amazing, I really like the body wash and shampoo options they had (good for sensitive skin) The whole place is beautiful, I liked the green space they have with the gazebo and some games :)

The bathroom sink was leaking a tiny bit, nothing that ruined our stay at all.

Firstly, check-in and communications leading up to our stay were brilliant. When we arrived, we had a really friendly greeting by Simmie. When we got to our suite, we were blown away with the view and access to private balcony. We instantly wished we were booked in for additional nights. We could have quite happily spent several days there during our tour of the island. We spent hours watching out across the ocean from our room. We were sad to have to leave after only one night. Thank you so much!

The room was very clean, had a lovely view of the ocean, and was very well appointed with thoughtful little touches, such as soft washcloths, glass wineglasses and beer mugs (no plastic), and seating inside and out to enjoy the view. The general decor was tasteful and relaxing. The hotel manager Simmie was very friendly and helpful.

A basic continental breakfast would be appreciated as guests need to access restaurants via car to downtown.....an 8 minute drive.

Great location on the sea front with fabulous views across the George Strait. Really excellent, very clean room with lovely bed and small balcony to sit and take in the view. Very nice bathroom with superb power shower. Nespresso machine with capsules which somehow were our favourites (not sure how the hotel got that right!). Parking available on-site with lift to all floors from the car park. No food of any sort available in hotel (not expected) so you will need to use what's available locally. One tip - the very efficient lady behind the check-in desk did warn us that most places close around 5pm in Qualicum beach but the Shady Rest restaurant / bar diagonally opposite across the road from the hotel is open until 8pm so best to use that for drinks / supper. We did and found it very friendly, reasonably priced and food not bad - good fish but chips were poor but my wife's pork schnitzel was very tasty she said. Overall an excellent place to stay for a night or two (we had one night on the way from Alder Bay back to Nanaimo for the ferry). If you have time take a walk on the beach at low tide - really superb.

The view from the room was great, looking out over the ocean. Nice little nook with a couple of wing chairs and a small table, just right to relax and take in the view. There was an elevator up to the third floor which was great. Cozy surroundings and spacious wash room with walk in shower. Nice little balcony with chairs and table for those sunny days!! This room was handicap accessible which made it more flexible!

It would have been nice to have a small table with chairs (fold up type) to have a meal at. Counter space was lacking. But overall, it was manageable.

Great views - right by the water. Fully functional kitchenette and Nespresso machine. Very comfortable bed. Quiet suite with a fireplace I was thrilled when at check in I was told my room had been upgraded especially since I was staying for five nights. I felt like I was in an apt and all I needed was to go buy groceries. Problems with the internet the first day were sorted out quickly.

These is more a reflection of the location and wouldn't impact anyone coming with a vehicle. I didn't come with a vehicle. I thought that the local bus traveled both ways along the highway in and out of town but it only went one way and only every hour until just before six. While the walk into town took less than 30 mins and was enjoyable it wasn't doable after dark or when it was raining heavy.
