Beautiful, well-appointed Bed & Breakfast; we are local and just wanted a nice place to stay to celebrate my Birthday. I have mobility issues (can only walk 20 min before requiring rest) and I was easily able to get up and down the stairs within the Bed & Breakfast and the location was within 20 min to everything we were trying to visit and explore in Victoria as we were being tourists in our own town. The room was beautiful; 1 raised Queen bed with heritage accents (hand painted accents along with carved features, lots of pillows and a cute teddy bear; huge 2 person soaker tub that we both enjoyed a comfortable soak in together. Water was nice and hot. The toilet is in its own little room within the room which I found to be well thought out given the space; it is lower to the ground than standard now, and there were no grab bars which at times we both had a laugh with trying to get back up on our own. A minor inconvenience and a reminder of the difference in time. Breakfast was very good, there were several choices; eggs Benedict or Florentine, pancakes served with fresh fruit, a raspberry compote and whip cream with more fresh fruit surrounding the plate. Coffee was surprisingly perfect for us; we both like a bold coffee in the morning and left us wondering which brand it was in admiration. Our host and staff were all very authentically themselves which made our stay charming and unpretentious. All in all a wonderful stay I would recommend to anyone local or international.

We cabbed because we already knew there is limited parking which is absolutely normal for being in a residential area in Victoria.

The location was excellent -- super-close to the Inner Harbour without the super-close prices. The room was beautiful and we also had access to their gorgeous salon and a downstairs area for late-night tea/coffee. Marketa gave us tips regarding whale watching tours, which were excellent (fantastic tour!), and the breakfast was like in a restaurant. I can' wait to stay at Marketa's again!

Parking is a bit tight in the back but still manageable and at least there is some! There wasn't anything else....

The staff were extremely helpful and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable, fun and relaxing. The breakfasts were really tasty and the muffins amazing. It was a central location and close to everything we wanted to see and do. The old home had been very tastefully and creatively redone to give a very comfortable facility while keeping the historic look. We had a great stay and would highly recommend the place.

Our stay at Marketa's was exceptional. The B&B is very close to the inner harbor and the fisherman's wharf and there are buses that stop nearby as well. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. The room was clean and with all the amenities we needed. The hot tub was a plus. The staff was very kind and approachable and made the experience even better. It is definitely worth it to stay in this B&B.

Great location, clean, cared for and maintained, lots of character, and comfortable beds! We had to leave before the breakfast sadly, but we heard the scones are delicious

I know the tap water is drinkable, but having a filtered water option would have been great! Also maybe a less bulky shower curtain as it didn't leave a lot of room in the tub, as well as somewhere to put toiletries in the shower since they slid out of the caddy.

EVERYTHING! Dar geva us the best welcome and introduction to house rules etc. Welcomed us to try extra Muffins which were out of this world. The menu for breakfast, we got to try a different one every morning. Service with a smile from everyone involved. WE WILL BE BACK!

I would have liked a room with a little more daylight. I can sleep in the brightest room anytime. Next time I will choose room # 4 or the like. I could not identify rooms very well on the website.

The building is ornately detailed and decorated. The room is beautiful and the hot tub with bubble soap was so nice. Breakfast was delicious and such a great deal! This was a true bed and breakfast experience with great hospitality.

Only downside is that the doors are not sound proof so you can hear people talking in the hallway.

From the moment we arrived we received a warm friendly welcome. The rooms were very decorated lovely, cozy, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great - good pressure! As for the breakfast, great choices and made fresh! Constantly topped up with juices and coffee by the staff…as the weather was good we had the chive to sit out on the patio. There is a room to relax in also. It was a short walk to all the attractions. I woul do highly recommend this place!

Nothing to complain about!

Everything was beyond my expectations. Quiet clean, safe and quiet. Thank you! and the food was also beyond my expectations. I felt safe traveling alone always is an adventured to say the least. And meeting new people everyday was eventful.

Very helpful and accommodating staff, lovely place and a fantastic location for accessing Victoria. The breakfast was excellent.

Our room was separated from the communal living room by doors rather than a wall, which meant quite a bit of noise passed through into the night. Individual bathrooms would have been preferred but not a major issue at all.
