The location is excellent. We didn’t have a car, and the bus line to the ferry stops very close to the hotel. We stayed for three nights in room 401, which has a view of the city. Since we wake up early, we loved watching the city come alive in the morning. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the heating system was easy to use, the staff was friendly, and the hotel was quiet. The magnifying mirror was excellent for applying makeup, the coffee machine was very good, and the coffee was hot and delicious. I took a photo of the blinds system, which I found excellent. On the last day, we left before 11 a.m., but we left our luggage at the reception with Elvie to enjoy a bit more of the day. The trip was wonderful and romantic. Thank you!

The hotel is walking distance to basically anything you could need! They gave us a coupon for a meal at the Sticky Wicket pub nextdoor and to their liquor shop where I was able to purchase a gift for a family member. The staff was very kind, helpful and welcoming. The parking is off site but only about half a block away so it wasn’t too bad. All in all, this was our first visit and we will likely be back!

The front-facing rooms definitely catch more street noise than we expected. We are heavy sleepers so it didn’t bother us much, but people and cars made a bit of noise well into the night. Just something to consider if you’re a light sleeper! I also had one experience with the shower and didn’t have hot water. I assumed it was just a busy time for showering so I waited about 10 minutes and it was back.

The hotel was comfortable, and located very close to the seaplane dock, inner harbor area and two streets over from Government St which means it was easy to go shopping and grab a bite to eat.

The area was very quiet at night ( after 7 pm in the winter ) so it felt a little dodgy at night and in the early morning ( McDonald's run ), there were many homeless people about but this is not the fault of the hotel and one could argue that it's not the fault of the homeless either. For the most part the homeless didn't bother people, of course there were requests for money but they were not aggressive about it.

Located in downtown and most places are within 10-15 minutes of walking distance. Parking was $15/day around the corner which is reasonable from the hotel. Staff were super nice (Elvie) and room was good size with recently renovated vibe to it. Lots of places to eat, see, and do, close to the hotel. Room had strong water pressure for the shower, two TV's (King suite room), clean, and wifi was fast enough for our needs.

Street noise since the hotel is located by the main road. Many homeless people in the area, but they are not aggressive. One elevator serving the hotel was a bit slow at times. People coming out from the bar/blues venue can be loud around 9-11PM for smoke, etc.

We had a suite and it was quite comfortable. I liked that they provided a wine refrigerator and enough wine glasses for us to have our friends over to enjoy a drink.

I wish they wouldn't line their trash bins (we had three) with plastic bags. Plastic use is a real problem for the environment and contributes to climate change. The hospitality industry can make a huge difference, particularly in the US where we use 287 pounds per person in a single year. In the last ten years, we’ve created more plastic than in the entire 20th century. There’s simply too much plastic being consumed to recycle our way out of this crisis. A paper towel or napkin in the bottom of the trash bins would help make it easy to empty and keep clean and be environmentally responsible.

I've stayed at 6 or 7 hotels plus a few STR's in the last year in Victoria. This one I would say is the best overall so far. The rooms are brand new renovated. Really nice clean finishes, large stand up shower, no tub, easy in and out. Dimmers on bedroom lights, nice vibe, look forward to coming back with my wife. Had a desk for work, lots of plugs for devices. Great location downtown. Big bright windows with blackout curtains.

Parking around the corner and across the street, open lot. Not the worst in the world, you do get easy access downtown parking, although for an added cost. The cost is reasonable compared to some others. It is nice to take the elevator direct to your car which is not available here. It is not a secured lot, although I did notice lots of security around the area, plus the National Rental lot is right next door. Not a big negative overall, but if I had to name one, I guess this is it.

The location was fantastic for walking around downtown and accessing public transport. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The hotel rooms were so quiet despite the noise from the bar on the roof and next door. We couldn't hear a thing once we closed our door. Plenty of security and staff at the hotel at the weekend so it felt very safe. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Food in the strathcona bar was great and its a very nice bar.

The street outside can be quite busy at night at the weekends but we didn't really mind. The room doesn't have a balcony and we didn't have any sort of view from the window.

We stayed in a king suite, which was spacious and had a nice view of downtown and the water. The location meant that it was a short walk to shops and restaurants.

We arrived on a Sunday night. There was a rooftop party at the restaurant the hotel runs, and it went on until 1 am. The noise level in our room made it impossible to get to sleep until the party was done. It was very strange that the hotel would run an event like that, the night before a lot of its guests would have to work. Besides the noise from the party, there was some street noise, but this generally quieted down overnight. The hotel provides shampoo and soap but not conditioner or lotion, so be prepared.

Hotel was cozy, we liked our room, no view but it didn’t matter to us. It was clean, had everything we needed, and comfortable. Really liked that there was parking for guests available at a lot nearby. It wasn’t free but neither was it expensive. Parking is tough in the area and we really appreciate it. We live in downtown San Francisco, we know how this can be. Spirts and beer shop next to the hotel by the hotel was a plus for me. Picked up a locally made Rye whiskey as a souvenir. Staff was friendly and helpful. Short walk to the water and restaurants and shops.

If I had to be nitpick, the slow and small elevator. It can be a wait on the busy times, morning and early evenings.

We had asked for a "quiet" room that wasn't near the rooftop bar or facing the street with pedestrian traffic. We were in the quietest room ever (Room 317). The air conditioning unit was loud (which we like) so we didn't hear any noise when we were sleeping. Very comfortable beds. LOVED the fridge that was much larger than a normal hotel fridge. Liked that there was a microwave for us to heat up leftovers. We also appreciated that there was a safe in the room to put our passports into.

One night some teenagers were hanging out in the hallway being noisy and had music on. We contacted the front desk and they sent up security to take care of it.
