where it was located

After going into the car park the directions to the lobby/reception were basically none existent. Had it not been for some other guests helping out we wouldn’t have known. I do t recall there being any signs as to where the pool was either. Yes, they tell you at reception but you’re not taking all the information in that they give you. No welcome pack to give you any information ie breakfast time, where the pool is, some hotels give you lists of restaurants to visit or takeout, nothing like that. And I know it’s sad but I love looking through the info stuff

The location was perfect for our trip to St. John for their Canada Day celebrations! We booked this hotel so we could have a front-row seat for the fireworks (which ended up being cancelled due to fog). The hotel is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, and the staff were super-pleasant and efficient! We'll come again, even though the price is higher than we usually like to pay, just for these reasons.

The room had a bad body-odor smell when we first walked in that didn't abate until almost the next day. It was bad - we almost called to request a room change, but spent so much time out of the room and doing other things that we figured it wasn't worth it. But that's definitely something that hotel quality control could pay a little more attention to in the future.

location was superb, nearby food venues - outstanding, short walk to downtown area and nightlife. Accomodations slightly outdated but room was clean and comfortable, relatively quiet and not overly busy. Only issue would of been parking and a bit of confusion as to how to get back to Hotel lobby. Better signage would help.

Breakfast should of been provided as an incentive to eat in the Hotel, we found a breakfast location within 3 blocks of the Hotel, was not overly inconvenient and worth the walk. Sunday is very Quiet

We checked in and the room we were given was a little tired and stuffy (windows don't open), we asked if we could change rooms and were given an upgrade to a 'club level' room which was much nicer. The staff were extremely nice through our entire stay and even gave the kids a free movie and popcorn to make up for the poor first room. Breakfast was included with our rate and was very good.

The first room we checked into was stuffy to the point of being almost smelly (it was actually a bit musty smelling too) and although it was very clean, was badly in need of a refurbish if not a full renovation. If we hadn't been upgraded I would have give a 5 star rating, even though the location is amazing, the quality of the room wouldn't have justified the price we were paying.

I love this hotel. The location allows access to everything in uptown SJ most through covered overpasses and malls. The restaurant is lovely and our breakfast was fabulous. The bartender we had on Saturday night (April 30) was by far the best ever. She was congenial, efficient, and educational. Not intrusive just attentive and informative. The perfect combo in a bartender who is expected to do everything by herself. She was impressive. I wish I could tell you her name but she worked Saturday night April 30. She is great!

The only thing we noticed was that the headboard in room 714 is damaged and should be replaced or repaired. It was an odd look for a beautiful room otherwise.

Excellent location, making it very easy to explore Saint John.

Upon checkin we were informed that we had been upgraded to a club level room. However, upon trying to enjoy club level features we were told we didn't get access to any but that rather we had been placed on a club floor. Would have preferred not to be told that we had an upgrade as it wasn't in fact a true upgrade.

The Staff was very helpful and friendly. This was especially so in the restaurant.

Parking instructions were a little confusing from the staff. We had 2 people in each room and needed to leave at separate times in the morning. The Staff member we spoke to was not clear how to do this.

Upscale hotel that accommodates conference and corporate meetings. View of the harbor was amazing. Easy access to the Bay of Fundy and the bridge where you can see the reverse tides. Staff was professional and helpful. Location was good for exploring the the waterfront and walking into the old city.

Ordered dinner and picked it up at the restaurant and it was beautiful. Nice and hot and delicious.....

The chair to sit in was very uncomfortable. It was a nice room with a view of the harbour. Enjoyed!! The taxi service to the hospital was great as well.

As an artist visiting Saint John on business, I requested an upper level room with a city view. The front desk staff gave us great assistance to meet this request, and their good cheer and help was superior. Upon arrival in the room I found the view of the city which met my dream. We had an excellent stay in the city, the hotel location being close enough for us to walk to every thing we wished to do in the Uptown area. The room was clean, the bed comfortable. There was some intermittent mechanical noise, but we were on the 12th floor and I imagine being on a lower floor this would be less likely to intrude or, if you are like me and my wife and can sleep through anything then this wouldn't be a problem. All I can say about the room, the staff, and the location is Wow!

12th floor room might have been below the mechanical rooms above as there was some intermittent noise, sounded like from ventilation or heat (a large blower?) The rumble actually vibrated the room for some minutes at a time at random intervals. However, the room was so pleasing that this flaw was not upsetting or problematic. I'd suggest light sleepers request a floor below the 12th.
