Quirky decor was very interesting. The parking was good, room was a great size, very clean with a modern bathroom and a veranda to use just by our room! Very strict about not putting suitcases on beds to keep clean. And staff were helpful.

Though close to places of interest and the centre of the city, the surrounding area felt a little run-down and unsafe, though once we had spoken to local people who explained the area had several homeless shelters which close during the day, we felt much more comfortable, and they were right, the streets were clearer in the evening.

McGee 's Inn is a cozy, historic house full of lovely antiques, beautiful interior decoration with attention to details that you feel like you have traveled in time! The location is wonderful, walking distance to many Ottawa lanmarks and favorite spots to enjoy the nightlife. Breakfast serves in main living room and the quality is wonderful! Highly recommend this place 😍

The breakfast was spectacular, and as I'm gluten free, they met my restrictions so well! Overall, I was really pleased and they were very friendly and accommodating.

The location could have been better, only in terms of the safety of the area. The closer I got to Rideau Centre, I didn't feel entirely safe and I think having lights on the street would have helped with my lack of confidence. I know the B&B can't do anything about that, but just how I felt.

Well located, very friendly and exceptionally nice staff, very nice deco and attention to every single detail. Nice breakfast, most of dishes very containing eggs, as a vegan I couldn’t eat them but the staff made fruit salad and toasts for me- much appreciated:)

Our room (n14) was placed between the reception and kitchen- we could hear guests arriving and checking in or out, staff’s conversation.. we were not so bothered but I imagine someone else would be. I would still give 10 points for this stay, but our bathroom was outside of our room. It was not in the room which was making us quite uncomfortable to get up at night and being stressed that we gonna bump into staff or other guests …

I was there with a friend for 1 night, in a 2-bed suite. It was a lovely place! Very clean, comfortable, quiet, staff was very helpful. Breakfast was great, it was freshly cooked, a la carte, not like some inns or hotels where the complimentary breakfast was a buffet that had been sitting there for hours! Overall experience was fantastic! The wifi was ok - I did get kicked off a couple of times, so I had to log back in, but when I was on it, it was pretty fast. I had to attend an event at the National Arts Centre, so the location was quite good - short 15-min. walk. I would definitely stay there again next time I visit!

The free wifi could be a little more stable. I got interrupted twice but logging back in was no problem. And when I was connected, it was fast.

It was a charming home with interesting decor. I is walking distance to various points of interest.

Our bed was a little uncomfortable, and our shower was a small stall enclosure with a static head. A hand shower wand would make showering easier and more effective but that is just a suggestion. It’s a nice place. The area does have a lot of homeless individuals around but building felt very secure and safe.

Excellent location. Comfortable clean room. Very good breakfast. Lovely staff. Beautiful old home. On arrival, we were offered room 14 which has an outside the room bathroom. Not good for me at all. Sarah was fabulous getting me relocated to room 24. Very appreciated. Lovely to have the living room as a peaceful place to read and visit. Well organized for breakfast shifts. On-site free parking great.

Location is nice, walk to downtown in 5-10 minutes. Private parking upfront. Nice breakfast, you can choose from the menu, mostly eggs and pancakes. But fine to start the day. Rooms were clean, big enough and bed was nice. Interieur is a bit dated, but thats the charme

A lot of homeless people in the area. Didnt see that many people together in other cities. If you take a street nearby, that makes its more comfortabele to walk around.

the building is very well kept and well maintained. the room was beautyful and clean. the staff was friendly and the breakfast where you can choose from 6 different freshly prepared dishes very good.

unfortunately ottawa has a strong homeless and opioid problem. the addicts on the street are unfortunately also close to the hotel. this didn't bother our stay at the hotel, as addicts are really on every corner in ottawa.
