Will stay here from now on when we come to visit family in Ottawa. The location is incredible. Walking distance to everything you are staying downtown for. on site parking. It's a older home, which we love due to the character and antique furniture. Pierre is the best host; treats you like an old friend. We stayed upstairs in the room with the bathroom and kitchenette. It served our purpose for the 4 days we were there for a wedding. The bed was comfortable and nice bedding. Very nice, large bathroom and shower. The breakfast was #1!!!!!!!! He cooks to order and what a great chef he is. The French toast is a must try and the crepes.

Nothing. For us everything was perfect.

Imagine sleeping over with a friend, a guide, a cooker, an entertainer and a relative, all together. That would start to describe the experience of staying with Pierre. We were treated both as guests and friends. The house is perfectly located within minutes walking of the attractions and the restaurants. The parking is free. The breakfast and the conversation, amazing. Pierre even made laundry for as and left everything folded in our room! We miss him already

Our only regret is staying only for one night. If we ever have the chance, we’ll be back for more days

A perfect choice for any traveller looking for a place with individuality and character. The auberge is easy to reach from the Rideau O Train station which connects directly to Ottawa's main railway station at Tremblay. It's situated in a quiet residential street but at the same time is adjacent to the Byward Market area, (a part of town bustling with shops, bars and restaurants). The auberge also makes a good base for exploring the parliament area and museums. My Queen room with a bathroom was comfortable and spacious with additional amenities including a fridge. Pierre was a very obliging, knowledgeable and congenial host et j'ai bien apprécié la possibilité de pouvoir parler français avec lui, although he is also fluent in English.

Nothing. Rien. I forgot to mention earlier... I had a very comfortable bed and a nice breakfast in the morning.

Exceptional stay! Pierre is a fantastic host, that goes out of his way and more to accommodate his guests. He makes you feel part of the family, and I have thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast table discussions. You can turn to him for any information, and he will give you great tips. Breakfast, incidentally, is fabulous! Service is great; possibility to park your car (not a given in central Ottawa), possibility to use the washing machine, etc.. etc... In addition to that the location is brilliant, right in the historic centre of town.

Honestly; nothing. I can't fault the inn on any point at all!

Pierre was the ultimate host, making us feel so cared for at the auberge. This is a small, family run place, and we greatly appreciated that vibe. Pierre reorganised to let us stay a second night at short notice, did laundry for us, and helped us with everything. We could see that they work very hard to cater to each guests' needs. We enjoyed the conversations with Pierre and fellow guests. Exceptional value for money with breakfast included. Thank you.

I liked the retro bohemian feel of the room, and the beds were very comfortable. Don't expect a five star hotel, but a homely welcome.

Breakfast is freshly prepared every morning and is completely free. You can choose what to eat from the menu on Pierre's phone! I can't believe such great service for such a low price. The laundry service here is also free. Pierre will take care of it and return the clothes to your room when finished. The bathroom was absolutely clean and tidy despite having to share it with others. In addition, I came to Ottawa to apply for a US visa. The location is very close to the US Consulate, only a 7-minute walk. Pierre is very familiar with the process and can also provide you with a travel guide to Ottawa attractions. Totally worth it! Believe me!

Lovely welcome and support from the owner throughout the stay, including helpful tips - we felt genuinely & personally take care of, but with no pressure or invasion on privacy, which is a difficult ballance to strike:) The shared bathroom was only shared with one room, so that was not an inconvenience at all. Room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was delicious. Overall, one of the best B&B experiences we have had:)

This charming, quaint house has a lot of personality, as do the exceptionally friendly hosts Pierre and Chantal. We liked everything about our stay - amazing breakfast (omelettes, crepes, fresh fruit and more!), and lovely mornings and evenings relaxing on the front porch! Plus super central location close to Byward market and easy walking distance to many sites and parks. Thank you Pierre for all the insights and advice about Ottawa. The owner of the Auberge is incredibly kind. He patiently introduced me to all the fun places in Ottawa and provided tips for visiting various attractions. The hotel room is very clean, and the bed is super comfortable. Parking is very convenient, located right next to the building, which solved my parking needs during the trip. Additionally, the owner is an excellent cook, and the breakfast was delicious. All the guests here are very nice, creating a wonderful atmosphere during my stay.

Auberge des Arts is in a perfect location. It is close to a big shopping mall, a subway station, a conference center, some museums, restaurants and beautiful tulips (seasonal). However, its neighborhood is quiet. We slept well all the five nights. The host is very friendly and knowledgeable. We are very happy with his service and we like chatting with him. The breakfasts prepared by him were delicious. We miss his omelette so much.
