We stayed in the newer building, the room was in a shared accommodation in a quiet neighbourhood. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. It's a short walk to all amenities in Whitehorse. Having access to a shared kitchen that had everything was very useful and there is a washer and dryer on site. Ample parking which is included.
Description of the facilities could be clearer (i.e. that the kitchen, lounge etc is part of a shared space). Makes it clearer when booking the room. I didn't have a problem with this but could see how it would be helpful for anyone booking. Otherwise all was good.

We were placed in the "new" building, which was a couple of blocks from the main building. It was 3 units, each with -- I'm guessing -- the same set-up: 4 private rooms with a shared kitchen & living room. We enjoyed the living room area a lot, as it allowed us more stretching. Our quarters were near downtown, making it walkable to downtown shops and restaurants. Our room was very clean, as were the shared spaces. Nice, large kitchen available, which we didn't use. Our check-in person was friendly and helpful.
The PILLOWS on the beds. Sooooo lumpy. They made what could have been a wonderful stay, unpleasant. Not getting a comfortable full night's rest set the tone for the rest of our day.

Nice Owner. Interesting arrangement - Four guests, each with a bedroom and bathroom, share a living/dining room and kitchen at the entry level. Sort of like a high-end adult hostel. You are in a new building with 5 such “units.” It’s both awkward and kinda chummy. Some families rent all 4 bedrooms and host a wedding or reunion. (But the kitchen does not have enough dishes/pets/etc. for a crowd) Coin operated washer & dryer on ground floor with free soap. We enjoyed ourselves after the first night because we were the only guests in our “unit.” I probably wouldn’t stay here again even though the owner was very helpful and solicitous.
The entry to our “unit” was littered with dirty gardening supplies and our bedroom window was filthy. Our room was the smallest and the most crowded in the “unit” with only one chair and no bathtub (the other 3 bedrooms had more space, a comfortable arm chair and a bathtub) after we were told that we had been “upgraded.”

It was essentially a two bedroom apartment. I was a little confused at first because I went in thinking I was heading to a hotel. I went to the address and met with the owner. He invited me into his house and checked me into my "room" and took a holding charge for any room incidentals. After checking me into my room I was provided an address and directions to my room. My room was located about 2 blocks from his house. It was a renovated apartment with a full shared kitchen and living room. Each bedroom has its own bathroom as well. The front door had a shared pin code for access. Each bedroom had its own door key for security. Great value. The price was better than most other hotels in the area but the amenities were far better. Highly recommend.
Nothing negative to note. I went in with slightly different expectation but the experience was good.

I have stayed at The Midnight Sun Inn several times, as it suits me perfectly when I come up to Whitehorse for work. Central location, easy access to groceries, coffee shops, restaurants, etc. The rooms are spacious, with private full bathroom, mini fridge, some with microwave as well, impeccably clean throughout, beds are very comfortable. There is access to a kitchen, laundry facility, and lounge, all this giving it the homey feel that I have come to appreciate, compared to staying in a hotel. The host, Anson, is easy to reach when needed and always very accommodating.

The hotel was excellent and my room was very comfortable and with everything I needed. I loved having access to a kitchen with everything I needed. The wi-fi worked perfectly, the inn was quiet and the staff were present when they needed to be. The inn is close to a supermarket and other shops, and it didn't take too long to walk downtown to where most of the restaurants are.
It's a shame that tours and hotel transfers don't come to this part of town, so I had to walk downtown to join tours and had to get a taxi to the airport. One tour even drove quite close to the inn but wouldn't stop.

the room was nice
the listing is misleading. it uses the word Inn in the title. I expected a hotel/inn. what I found was a property management business and I checked in at one place and went 4-5 blocks to stay in another building. the listing also mentioned a 24 hour manned desk. there is a phone outside the first building, which is the managers apt. finally I expected a room as the pictures show. what I got was a bed room in a 2 bedroom apartment where each bedroom is rented and the rest of the unit is common space.

I arrived much later than I expected. Checking in at 530 AM. The Manager/Owner was easy to contact on my late arrival and due to the timing, he upgraded me to one of his new locations (other than where I had booked). It was just 2 streets away. The upgraded place was brand new and he let me stay in this for my entire stay at no extra charge. The place itself was perfect for my needs. A brand new condo/style building. Upon entry there is large shared common area for sitting, kitchen, dining and laundry facilities. Rooms are separated for guests with each having their own bathroom and locking doors. All so clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable. It's in a great quiet location, still within short walk or drive to downtown area. Manager/Owner was super friendly and provided all that was advertised on booking site and more. I was thankful the Manager/Owner was able to accommodate my needs with such a late arrival and then my request to add an additional night to my pre-booked time. I had a wonderful stay at this facility.
Nothing, it was perfect.

The room was very clean, comfortable, and conveniently within walking distance to most everything in town. It was also very quiet and the host was friendly. What I didn't realize when I booked was that it's not actually a hotel, it's more like a furnished condo or apartment and you rent out a private bedroom/bathroom in the condo. There are keyed locks on each bedroom door and you're welcome to use the kitchen and common areas. It was great to rent with friends and we all had our our rooms. I think if I had been a single female traveling alone I would have potentially felt uncomfortable if any of the other guests were sketchy. Honestly though, I never even saw any of the other guests other than my traveling companions.

We got a upgrade to the new appartment building. This was contrast to the pictures on booking.com very modern with far nicer colors and furniture. Also it was very clean and had a kitchen available and inroom fridge.
Almost everything was perfect. Only the bedding wa of some sort of polyester which ment quite a lot of sweating during the night and nod very comfortable on the skin.
