Everything went well. Staff was excellent and very helpful, no matter what the topic was. The only bothersome thing were the steps and that was due to the historical preservation regulations not the hotel. The staff arranged for a car to pick us up at the airport and again to take us to the ferry. That was a life saver on both counts. The room was great! But the best thing was having breakfast brought to the room every day. For our visit the hotel location was perfect.

There was nothing not to like. The issue of the steps had nothing to do with the hotel. For some the Irish bar basically facing the hotel might be a problem, for us it was a bonus.

Hotel is superbly located, just off the main street thru' the middle of Old Town; the room was very nice, clean & comfortable, and being on the top floor had a great view over the rooftops of Old Town; breakfast was brought to the room at your chosen time and was very good. And to top it all, the staff were really friendly and helpful.

Nothing wrong with the hotel as such - just need to be mindful that compared to other destinations Dubrovnik Old Town is quite expensive; and given the nature of the buildings in Old Town, there can be a lot of steps (and no lift) to reach your room - we had 67 to get to ours (but then we had a great view)!

The location, the mini kitchen in room. Small and cosy with reception desk. Own key for front door so completely independent.

Room facilities were not all as described. No coffee machine,no toaster. Toiletries basic Just handwashing and shampoo body wash dispenser in shower. Hot water runs out very quickly. No breakfast (some reviews people had breakfast provided) This option not mentioned on booking.com. Or is it just a seasonal option? I would not have taken it anyway as bakery and coffee bars round the corner.

We thought Marco was such an amazing young man. He helped us with our luggage; was always at the desk when we came down and greeted us. Helped us find laundry service. Took care of our breakfast needs. such a nice, kind young man!! Our breakfasts were fantastic each morning with a variety of items to choose from. The location couldn't have been better! The view out the window was the wall next door but we had a wonderful stay there.

The room was a little small, but not a problem. We managed, after all we were in Croatia!

Everything about the Scalini Palace was perfect and, and now that we are back in Dublin, we would love to return! All the staff were lovely, both in Reception and the Housekeeping staff. The breakfast arrived on the minute we had booked for and was the perfect start to the day. Our rooms were cleaned every day, bins emptied and fresh towels supplied. 10/10.

Honestly, nothing! I even liked the stairs to our room on the 3rd floor, just to totally tire me out!!!!! Everything about this hotel was perfect.

Location is in the very same center of the old town, so very convenient to do sightseeing on foot. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean and spaceous, all together a good choice.

If you have big suitcases, you will face a LOT of stairs to go down to the hotel and up when you leave. Entrance to the old town is only by foot, not even a taxi can take you to the hotel. Parking is huge problem, basically in front of the old town there is no parking, except paid, very expensive parking, if I remember correctly, 5-6 EUR per hour, no possibility to pay less for whole day or several days. So you have to park in cheaper paid parking spaces that are 10-15 min away from the old town.

I absolutely loved the LOCATION! You will stay in the HEART of the HAPPENING, two steps (literally) from Main Street! It’s charming, modern, clean! Absolutely perfect for a solo or two travelers. Ask for a top floor/ roof with a balcony, if available. There is something so charming about morning church bells while looking at the historical red tile roofs! 😊

If you have BIG /heavy luggage ( do not have elevator) as it is historical building you will have to walk up. The concierge was super helpful and carried my bags to the top floor!

Our room was clean, a good size and the kitchenette was useful. we couldn’t get a room with a balcony so we faced a wall which made the room a bit dark and also quite noisy from the alleyway below. But that’s what you’d expect being right in the old town where the buildings are very close together and there are a lot of people in the city. The location of the hotel was amazing, very close to everything and the reception staff very helpful.

The bar nearby which was noisy early in the morning

Absolutely fantastic stay! Luka on reception is a credit to the hotel too! He was so helpful, and such a gentleman. He went out of his way to ensure we had a great holiday, and nothing was too much trouble. He even carried our cases up the steps to a different location for our taxi back to the airport as the marathon was on and blocking our normal exit. He made sure we found the driver and that we were safely on our way to the airport. We felt so safe too as two sisters travelling together. Highly recommend, and we would definitely stay here again. You are in a perfect location in the old town too and was in walking distance to our tours. The rooms were spotless, with the best shower, and breakfast was beautiful. We loved every minute and didn’t want to come home!

Noisy fellow guests but not the hotels fault.

Great location (but ask to get dropped off at Pile gate!), great modern clean and comfortable room, we had everything we needed and were very happy here for two nights. Really friendly staff that made check in and check out easy.

Some of the junior staff didn’t seem to know too much about some practical travel questions we asked and could be more proactive with that but overall they were lovely and tried their best to help and perhaps they just need more training. The breakfast was ok but for the price we paid and comparing to others places it could have been a little better (eg the croissants are definitely from the supermarket and not a nice bakery, and the orange juice is from a carton so we could tell the difference and didn’t drink it as it didn’t taste great but it all depends on your expectations)
