The location was superb. Situated near the "unofficial" entry called either P3 or the "Auxiliary Flora Entrance". It's unofficial because the website doesn't list P3 but in any case Etno Garden Apartments is about a 5 min walk to this entry. No tickets are sold here. Just a hut that is manned starting at 7am to check your tickets. You will need to buy them online (recommended) or go to Entrance 1 or 2 and buy them there. Having them in advance though is key then you can just walk from Etno to get into the park. No need to deal with driving/parking. Last photo of map, I've circled P3 entry near Etno in red. Once through the checkpoint you walk down to the boat landing where you can catch one of the ferries to go to other parts of the park. I'd recommend uploading the Plitvice Mobile app (green background with a bear outlined in white) as it lays out different walking programs as well as info about the park and a good map. It's also easy to walk from Etno to the trails that are outside of the park but run along the top ridge. They offer great views during an early morning or evening walk. The other very surprising thing we found was their restaurant. We were not anticipating that we'd be able to find a decent meal due to the remoteness of the lake park. However Etno actually offered a great restaurant/menu selection with super friendly servers/service. We were there 3 days/two nights and ate every meal at the restaurant because it was not just convenient but delicious. The check in was great and easy. We arrived a bit early for check in but that was not a problem. Our apartments were ready (we were two couples, renting 2 apartments next door to each other) and the young guy that checked us in could not have been nicer. Also offering us good suggestions on how to tour the park. The staff continued to be attentive during our whole visit.

The big (and only) negative was the coffee offered IN the apartment. It was instant and bad. Could not believe this was the only option until the restaurant opened at 8 or 8h30. Besides being early risers we also wanted to be in the park when it opened at 7am to avoid potential crowds. We needed coffee. Also in addition, the listed ingredients on the individual instant coffee packs read like a science experiment. Don't think there was one natural ingredient in it. Given there's a kitchenette in the apartments I don't see why they couldn't at least offer a coffee maker/real coffee. I would have happily brought my own coffee if there had been a coffee maker. Anyway, the coffee situation is dire at Etno. (The restaurant coffee was better and at least real coffee).

This is an absolutely amazing hotel, just a 10 minute walk from entrance 3, if you buy your tickets online to the national park, you can enter from this entrance. The staff were absolutely amazing and nothing was too much trouble, the apartment was equipped with everything we needed and I wish we could have stayed longer. The shower was the best after a long day hiking and the beds were very comfortable. You can either cook in the apartment as they have everything you needed, or you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant, which was anazing. I would highly recommend this place, it’s in the perfect location and spotlessly clean

Great location close to the 3rd entrance of the National Park. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was delicious and the waiters were very pleasant. The beds were very comfortable.

Furnishings in the room were a little outdated. We had an issue with the shower water switching from scalding hot to freezing cold, which I reported when we checked out. There is no AC in the bedroom, it was only in the living room.

We were pleasantly surprised by this place. The apartment was well equipped, we had everything we needed. We received the dishes upon request and there were enough to prepare anything. We had breakfast in the restaurant. The breakfast was fresh and very tasty, we really liked it. Great place if you are going to visit the National Park because it is very close to the entrance. Great staff and a beautiful garden.

The apartment was a great size and well equipped. We had all the kitchen necessities and the host was always available if we needed him. Everyone is very kind. We tried several very tasty dishes in the restaurant. We recommend that you visit the restaurant at least once because the ambiance is pleasant, the food is excellent and the prices are fair.

This is one of the favourite places we have ever stayed. It is incredibly peaceful and a beautiful location. We really enjoyed sitting outside each evening having dinner. The staff were fantastic and our 7 year old loved all of the games and activities dotted around the site. It is a few minutes from the park entrance and the staff helped us plan a route around the lakes that avoided crowds. Was a much better place to stay than the generic hotels in the park.

Beautiful place. It was very nice for us and we would highly recommend a visit to this place if you are going to see Plitvice. We didn't know what to expect, however, the accommodation and food were more than excellent. Comfortable, clean and quiet. Great location. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Delicious breakfast.

We spent beautiful holiday in Plitvice. Our room was big and clean and well equipped. Breakfast was fresh and we enjoyed it very much. Had dinner in hotel restaurant. Food was very tasty. Service was fast and polite. Great loction, once we arrived we didnt need a car. We will be back again for sure!

Beautifully laid out and natural setting, very large comfortable room and beautiful bathroom. excellent on site restaurant.

As an apartment, the room whilst large and airy, provided just a kettle, cups and a fridge - no crockery, cutlery or heating system to enable you to enjoy a small snack or breakfast in the room.

Very nice apartment with lots of space and well equipped. A great place to relax. Top location, very close to the entrance to the park. The food is great. Everything was very tasty and fresh, the prices are also fair. Amazing apple strudel! We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back again.
