Good position on Universal Boulevard.

Prices in bar and shop are shockingly high. There was a propane gas explosion which the tank hit the seventh floor of hotel , shattered windows and blew the building which the tank was in to bits. Fire, police and ambulance there but hotel staff did not care or check any guests. So lucky no one died.

I loved the location and the staff at this property. They were very kind and helpful. Best Western Gateway is located less than 15 minutes from Sea World, Aquatica, Universal Studios, and more. Multiple restaurants and attractions are in walking distance. Only a 20 minute drive downtown and to the airport.

The breakfast was not worth $15. It is the exact same type of breakfast that you get complimentary at other hotels. The air conditioners weren’t that strong and the bathrooms can be remodeled. The televisions should be bigger and upgraded to stream Netflix, Hulu, etc. when trying to relax after all the park activity.

Room was nice and quite and location of hotel was fantastic.

Great location if you’re going to Universal Studios. Staff was very professional, helpful, and friendly. Pool hours are good. Room was very clean and provided everything we needed/expected. Air conditioner/heater worked well & quickly cooled down/warmed up the room as we needed. Parking lot is huge. There are plenty of non-universal attractions & restaurants within short distances from the hotel. (We 100% recommend Gator Golf!) IMO, great value for the price we paid.

The hallways look a bit run down, and they’ve attempted to hide the age of the hotel under coats of new paint. The toilet in our room usually took three flushes to flush completely. Any movement from the guests staying in the room above us reverberated loudly in our room. Hotel is a bit far from Disney World.

Fast front desk service, staff was wonderful and friendly, room was neat and clean.

The only thing is that I needed to dry my cloths and someone left cloths in three dryer machine for more than 2 hrs. My husband ask at the front desk and they say they couldn’t do anything about it, they should but a sign up in the laundry room that says, don’t leave cloths unattended in washer or drying machine, cause it would be removed once is done cause other quests need to use washer and dryer machines also. I would return for February, so I hope that I would see those signs up. Thank you.

We travel to Orlando a lot and have stayed in many different hotels. Best Western was very clean, comfortable, and close to area attractions. What really stood out to us was the staff. You will never find a more friendly or helpful staff anywhere else!! From Avo at check-in to the amazingly friendly, personable, and polite staff in the restaurant! Absolutely incredible!!

Toilets are VERY low to the floor, the walls were kind of thin. We could hear the neighbors next door to us chatting (thank goodness that's all they were doing because that would have been awkward 😳). Still wouldn't hinder us from staying there again!

It is a good hotel. The lower price sometimes confuse us before booking however it exceeds in facilities to its price tag. Location is great as everything, activities, universal parks, sea world and other parks are very very close. Even premium outlet mall is just 4 minutes away. We asked for a ground floor pool facing room and they accommodated with pleasure. That way you can move out or within the hotel comfortably. However in the hotel, everything is easy and near to access. Front desk people are all helpful and courteous. The mini shop has everything you need and the guys there helpful as well. There is plenty of shaded room near the pool with chairs and tables and we usually use that area to sit and enjoy. Pool and jacuzzi are excellent and usually less crowded so you enjoy.

The breakfast policy was a little confusing. They issued us free vouchers as already booked it included in the price. They asked us to keep to vouchers and if we lose them then no replacement will be issued. When you enter the restaurant, the guys announce the details which is quite strange because everyone knows the buffet breakfasts. Moreover, they strictly prohibit to take food to room from breakfast menu. Even if someone is sick and ready to pay, they don’t let us take even a single thing to room or out. That was quite strange for us because usually hotel even provide bags to take food from buffet breakfast.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Best Western Orlando Gateway Hotel and had an excellent experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, ensuring a smooth check-in process. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after long days of exploring Orlando. I particularly appreciated the complimentary Wi-Fi, which was fast and reliable throughout my stay. The hotel's location is another highlight, as it's conveniently situated near major attractions, including Universal Studios and other theme parks. This made it easy to get around and maximize my time enjoying the local attractions. I also made use of the hotel's facilities, such as the pool and fitness center, both of which were well-kept and provided a relaxing break from the busy days. The on-site dining options were also impressive, offering a variety of delicious meals to suit different tastes. Overall, my stay at the Best Western Orlando Gateway Hotel was fantastic. The combination of friendly staff, clean and comfortable accommodations, and convenient location made for a memorable trip. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Orlando.

There wasn’t anything to dislike.

The breakfast in the dining room was wonderful. We get to make our own waffles, the biscuits and gravy were amazing, The fruit and yogurt and oatmeal was delicious plus getting to see the husband wife team -they work wonderfully and we schedule to see them every year!

The bathroom door needs some work. Water damaged on the bottom. The toilet has excessive amounts of caulking around it yet it's still cracked. We hated walking through a cloud of someone burning weed like it was their job,It smoulded foul

The staff are super friendly and helpful. They make sure you have everything you need and provide the information you need. The lobby and rooms are amazing. They look nice, and the beds are clean, sheets clean, refrigerator, and microwave super clean. All lights and other fixtures work, and we're functional. Parking and exits were great, too.

This is more constructive criticism. They need to snake the shower more often. Water pools up quickly and takes longer to drain. The soap dispensers inside the showers need to be checked more often to ensure they're filled. The large glass windows are amazing for the view, but the AC units are too small and can't keep up with the heat that they let in. Those poor things get a work break when it's raining or at night. Could use labeling for the parking lot and exits to those areas. Spent a lot of time finding my way around. (Wall signs or a simple map of the ground floor on placards).
