I looked forward to the breakfasts, the staff spoilt me and made me special Ecuadorian food often, they were delicious! The food was freshly prepared, healthy and high quality.
There wasn't anything I didn't like. Ecuador was experiencing power outs which was out of the control of the hotel. They did their best to accommodate with the inconvenience. It would have been much better if the hotel had a back-up generator and the WIFI was also backed up - this is something that would have been expected. However, it was my first time in South America and what I expect in Australia I have to realise there is a different world.

This is an elegant boutique hotel. The outside is deceiving but inside is tasteful with rooms surrounding an inner courtyard. The suite we stayed in was wonderful - spacious, clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated and furnished. The staff, and Andrea in particular, are excellent - attentive and doing what they can to make sure the stay is a success. The breakfast was nice with fresh juice, fruit, and eggs made to order. The location is walkable and felt safe even coming back in the early evening. Plenty of restaurants close by as well as various historic buildings. Lots of little touches that showed concern for guest well being.
We got in late and it took three attempts before we were in the right room but there was a willingness to make things right.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and I loved the daily Ecuadorean treats that were given with breakfast, it was a great touch. The room was clean and tidy. The location was great for myself with food options nearby.
I booked into a "loft style" room but there weren't many guests at the time I was there so they probably could have just offered me a room without stairs especially given I was struggling with the altitude at times and would sometimes get out of breath going up the stairs haha but ultimately this was my fault for booking the wrong type of room unknowingly.

The pickup at the airport was incredibly helpful (3:30 am) and the man who received us at Adamas was helpful throughout the stay. The breakfast was pretty good and was cooked fresh while you waited. The initial room we were allocated was very dark and they kindly switched our room to one with lots of light. Please be aware that some rooms have steep stairs to the bedroom which was fine for us, good exercise. The rooftop bar was lovely. The staff were all so helpful. The location was great and there two restaurants within a block which were extremely good.

The staff were very helpful in getting our needs met and arranging tours. They explained the process to us, so there were no surprises. Short power outages are common, and they provided rechargeable lights to use in our room as needed. Breakfasts were delicious and had multiple options which always included some traditional Ecuadorian fare. There was also a lovely view from the terrace!
Be aware that all restaurants and shops close very early due to curfews. Don’t expect to do anything outside of the hotel after 7-8pm.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was nice to have a personally cooked breackfast each morning, rather than the buffet style in larger hotels. The staff are very helpful and obliging, and a special mention to Andrea (and the night staff, whose names we did not get). Rooms were above average size and the beds were very comfortable - in addition, the location is perfect for the historic centre, and we could walk to most parts of it: when necessay, Ubers to places more distant were readily available and inexpensive (assuming you do not have a car).

This welcoming, ideal boutique hotel is buried in the heart of historic Quito. This quaint, centrally located hotel is kept impeccably clean and rooms are nicely appointed with all the travel essentials and necessities, with nice artistic touches that give it unique character and charm. Of note, the staff were excellent in their service and English was widely and fluently spoken. Communication with the staff prior to our arrival was timely and helpful. The rooftop terrace offers views of El Pancillo and the old town - the perfect venue for your morning coffee or evening, night cap drink. Part of the terrace is also covered in case of rain. You can feel secure and rest assured for your own safety as the venue security protocols are thorough. Airport transfers can be readily arranged through the hotel. You're a short 10 min walk into the old town from the hotel. Sadly we couldn't indulge in the breakfast as we had to depart early, although the dining area looked very nice. This is a highly recommended boutique hotel that won't leave you disappointed.
Regretfully, because you're in the very heart of the central part of old, historic Quito, the road noise (traffic etc) is quite loud if you occupy an exterior-facing room. This will make afternoon naps problematic but the noise does die down by around 9pm and remains quiet until 7am. This aspect is beyond the control of the hotel staff (it's nobody's fault) and is purely associated with the fact that you're located "in the heart of the action".

The property was very well designed and decorated. It was very intimate and like home. We really appreciated the complimentary breakfast that a very kind staff member made homemade for us. They also provided complimentary coffee, tea, and juice. The rooms were very nice and comfortable and the staff left us filtered water. We felt very safe in the hotel and staff were incredibly helpful. The woman who made us breakfast in the morning also helped us coordinate with our transportation since he was running late and we didn’t speak Spanish.

After 6 weeks of hard travel ADAMAS HOUSE was the perfect respite for weary travelers. The hotel is in a wonderful location in the old town and this renovated historical home is beautifully preserved and decorated. The bed in the room we had (#1) was huge and the room very quiet and good Wi-Fi. The rooftop terrace gives wonderful views both in the day and the night. The breakfast features different Ecuadorian specialties in fruits, drinks and breads, plus eggs cooked to order. We had originally booked for 3 nights but extended to 6 nights and left well rested and feeling like we had experienced the old town.
We elected to pay by cash on arrival but there was some confusion about the amount we should have paid but this issue was not brought to us till we were checking out. The reception and owners kindly agreed not to press the issue.

Breakfast was good, location was convenient, staff were excellent very accomodating. Rooms were great. Loved the court yard in the middle and the roof top! Well decorated and felt very safe.
The stairs were a little steep and slippery. A few of us had a slip and and a fall going downstairs (since bathrooms are downstairs). Second floor can be abit warm. None of the bathrooms had locks on doors (not a big deal). We were housed in 3 different rooms (3 diff stays) And the hot water took awhile to operate
