Beautiful island location just next to Philae Temple. An Oasis of peace and tranquility in Aswan. The staff is very helpful and kind. The rooms are in traditional Nubian style, rustic, and very comfortable with great views to the river Nile and Philae Temple. The food is traditional Nubian, very tasty, made with organic vegetables produced in the island. There is a beach on the island for guests with beach towels, and kayaks for rent. The transfer by boat to a from the island is hassle free and always available. This is for sure one of the top hotels I've stayed in all my world travels. Great value for money. Me, my wife and 7 year old son enjoyed every minute. I highly recommend!

Nothing to dislike

Beautiful terrace for breakfast right in front of Philae temple, amazing views especially at night Beautiful old little Nubian houses turned hotel rooms with small cozy terraces using, nicely done and with a fell of authenticity Nice atmosphere, very well lit at night Good food, reasonably priced

Check in experience below par, water heater not turned on befroe or arrival or up on check in by an aloof and not very friendly check in staff when it is freezing outside Staff carrying the luggage forcibly and repeatedly asking for tips bathrroms a bit small without true shower area

Everything was great from the beginning. Mr. Mohamed the Manager is very helpful and responsive via WhatsApp. During our stay there are not many guests coming, and he arranged all of us to stay in the special rooms with air conditioning. The staff were sooo nice and hospitable. The food was sooo great, the view from the room and restaurant was exceptional. There is a little beach that we can swim from to help with the 45 degrees heat. Even the dogs of the island were friendly and cuddly. I cannot recommend this enough!!

Nothing.

If you are coming to Aswan for the Temple of Isis, Philae, this hotel is the best location. You are directly across from the temple at Bigeh Island, so much so that you can even listen and watch the light show from the outdoor deck at dinner. Its a beautiful, eco hotel that is close to nature and rich in Nubian culture. The food is wonderful at the restaurant - just note you may need to order an hour in advance for some dishes as they cook very traditional tagines in a special oven.

If you need air-conditioning in your hotel room, this may not be the place for you. We were there in May and I was fine by opening the bedroom windows and putting the fan on, but it was starting to get hot!

Location (isolated from the overwhelming Aswan), and the fact that you need a little boat to reach the resort. The views from the restaurant in front of Philae Temple. The delicious food. Peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The staff very helpful and kind. Mohammed & his team were very well organized and supportive, and anything requested was easy to do through them.

Maybe a bit expensive, but at the same time we understand that certain privileges as the location or silence and the food were worth paying for.

It's a private island with not many rooms and beautiful views of the Nile. The mud hut style feels nice. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is quite tasty. The dinner at the restaurant was a great introduction to Nubian food. The garden is nice to see.

The dogs on the island are very friendly, though they had not met us until night time and weren't happy at first. I'm not sure if WiFi is available in the rooms. Because it's an eco place, there is no air conditioning. The price to go to Philae island (very nearby) is a little high at 250 EGP but not bad. The transfer to the mainland is also 150 EGP each way

Authentic experience amidst the waters of the Nile. An honest back to basics accommodation that takes you back to simpler times. A romantic place to be, with the Temple of Philae as a backdrop is just jaw dropping. At night, the quiet and tranquility envelopes you and the gentle sound of the Nile will lull you into sleep. Sunrise and sunset were amazing and the breakfast, one of the best we had so far and ranks very high and we’ve been to The Cataract, Al Moudira and the Winter Palace. The best were the Nubians Egyptians, so gentle and warm. And no bakshish were asked from any of them. We were just left to enjoy this resort on our own. It might have been short, but it’ll always be one of the highest bar for us to compare our experiences elsewhere. A true gem of a place. Can’t stop thinking about it!

Nothing…it was the perfect Aswan accommodation.

As all nubio hotels, is a very diferent experience. The hotel has a beautiful rustic style and very comfortable. The rooms have everything you need. There is internet in restaurant area. The staff is very friendly and profesional. The rooms are on the top of the island so is hard to go up if you are not jonge. They have some gardens where they grow some vegetables and in the back also there is a nubian cemetery around big, big stones. The landscape is magic and the view of Philae temple is the best.

Some wild dogs over there barking and not friendly.

Unusual in its design, concept. The staff were lovely, and Yousef was always on hand to arrange transport and boat crossings. The location is stunning and very peaceful.

The food is different to most places, as it is Nubian. The breakfast is sizeable but completely savoury, with aubergine, falafel, tahini, etc. If you prefer some fruit, yoghurt, etc this may not be your place. The black flies are annoying, and although not that numerous, land on your hands and face.

I like being in the island. Mohamed and his staff were all helpful, friendly, hospitable and just awesome. The room we stayed gave us a very beautiful view of the Nile River. The entire area is beautifully exotic and demonstrates Nubian culture, food and hospitality. I like the fact that it has its own restaurant and breakfast was served. This type of hotel is very good in the winter were fresh air compliments the exotic place. Very nice place.

If you come in the summer, it won’t help because there are no AC. It would be very hot since their summer can go as high as 48 C. I think it is time to think of putting WiFi in the area. This would be a plus plus to an already exotic beautiful place. Please disregard the photos of the statues. It is not part of the hotel.
