Really excellent! The best we had in Egypt. Very professionally run, super clean, amazing breakfast - homemade and well-prepared. Honestly warm hospitality - Ahmed & his family are top! I cannot fault it. The rooms were so comfortable and the place is peacful and clean throughout. I can see now why they are so highly rated. We moved the second night to Elephantine to be closer to Aswan, but actually it is better to stay at THIS place, in THIS Nubian village and take a short uber ride of 25 mins to Aswan and back. Staying in Elephantine is nowhere near as nice (it is also more expensive). Best choice when visiting Aswan. Cheap for what you get - an oasis away from the hustle, and worth the short journey to and fro. *Please feed the stray dogs that inhabit this Nubian village, they are so lovely and just want to be loved.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The blankets were so comfortable and the beds were great! Shower had hot water so that was great! The breakfast and dinners were delicious and we loved all the spaces to lounge and you could even smoke shisha. We had our laundry done here and you pay 10 Pounds per item depending on the size.

Mosquitos! Not sure how they kept getting into our room but we had to sleep with the AC on to keep them off of us, woke up with my face covered in bites.

Staff were extremely polite and helpful. Especially thanks to Ahmed, we could spend great time there. The guest house is located in the heart of Nubian Village, people are great. Very clean and cute rooms. Good value for a cost efficient trip. But the greatest part was the breakfast. It was humble but the best, especially comparing similar hotels and guest houses in Egypt. We will always remember this cute village and Lawanda Nubian House. Thank you!

Nothing really, they are the best! There are few things to know for the upcoming guests: the take away breakfast was not the same with the actual one. So if you need to leave early in the morning, you will have packed sandwiches. But the actual breakfast is way more delicious. ;) Secondly, you need car to get there, however the guest house in the middle of the market and you need some good driving skills to move in the narrow streets.

I loved it! Super nice staff, amazing breakfast and perfect location! Probably one of my favourite places during my trip in Egypt :)

Note that this house is not in the city center of Aswan, but it will take around 30 minutes to reach it by taxi - for me it was definitely a PLUS and well-worthy even if only for one night in order to experience the lovely nubian culture during early morning and evening (when all day tours ended)

Good value for money! The owner was welcoming and accommodating. He was also one of few people we encountered in Egypt who didn't try to hustle or hassle us, so thank you. The breakfast was delicious! We felt safe here. Being in the Nubian village was much nicer than staying in Aswan city. The owner helped us organise a boat to King Jamaica restaurant as well as deal with our rubbish driver we unfortunately booked online. (btw, I advise you booked drivers through hotels and regret that we didn't)

The room was small, so I'm glad we didn't have too much luggage. However, I would not expect a larger room for the small price we paid. Only thing would be that in one of our two rooms, we couldnt control the air conditioning temp as the remote was broken, but the air conditioning could still be used. We understand these are expensive things to fix and this can happen.

We travelled as a couple. This hotel was our highlight for the whole trip. It is not the most luxurious in Nuba. However you feel at home. Hygiene is top. Nice scent in the room. Breakfast is delicious and generous. The two mekkawy brothers, Ahmed & Mohamed are very generous, and always ready to help without even noticing they are there. I stayed in a lot of egyptian & european hotels but this one left a very happy memory.

Literally nothing. Maybe just the toilet boiler needs to last longer for hot showers.

1. Hospitality of the staff; very helpful 2. Responsive and responsible staff 3. Organised Aswan sightseeing, Abu-simbel trip and Luxor transfer at a best price. Followed-up with the car driver so that he is on time. 4. Location of the guest house is at the heart of Nubian Village

1. Rooms could have been bit more spacious. 2. Food menu options could have been more.

We loved the owner, he was super available for amy questions and requests. He also took care of our transportation, he scheduled our trip to abu simbel, he actually took care of us so well (we had two person sick from before) and he was always ready to help. We always had breakfast, even when we were going at 5 am. It was really perfect, and the space is super beatiful.

Real nice local stay in the.middle of nubian village where you will experience real life (many tourists come here for day tours...youll already be there!!) Next to the nile river so you'll be able to walk 2 blocks to take any boat tour. Guys at the hotel are very nice and HONEST family run, great arabic food at good prices. These guys will help you to organize your tours. We took a private car, with great happy and posotive young driver who is very nice, just make sure he understands what you want, ashuan i think his name was. He drove us to abu simbel at 4am and later on all the way to Luxor in a new car. Also took a nice fast private speed boat tour on the nile for some 25usd for 3 of us, had lunch at the sofitel hotel (beautiful) and took us back at 6pm. Dont even think about it, you will feel real and comfortable in this clean and hospitable small family hotel. Recommend to stay here 3 nights minimum, 4 i think is best so you have time to relax.

That its not my home 😕
