Reception staff - before arrival, the communication was bad. I sent a question. The reply was five words, which did not even reply to my question without any politness formulas (no good morning, no thank you for booking with us, no best regards...). On site, persons at the reception were unpleasant and not helpfull. They did not treat us respectfully. At departure, no one to take our luggages to the taxi. At 250 EUR the night, it is the less expected.

We recently had a 19 day trip around Egypt and I can definitely say that the Iberotel Costa Mares was the best hotel/resort that we stayed at in Egypt and on par with other 5 star resorts we’ve stayed at around the world. We had two deluxe family ground floor rooms with views on the gorgeous 45m long pool for our family of five. The rooms were very spatial, comfortable, clean and had all the modern conveniences you’d want. We spent our days moving from the pool to the beach and back again. The resort’s position on the bay is perfect for swimming with the sea turtles and the sea cows (dugong). There are other reviews that criticise the tour boats being the in the bay but this didn’t bother us - they are far enough from the shore and the bay is certainly big enough for everyone to enjoy. The dive centre, less than 10 minutes walk down the beach at the sister resort, is an added bonus. We had a great excursion to the Dolphin House where one in our group was able to dive while the rest of us did snorkelling. We chose Costa Mares for the location and the great reviews on the food and service. Khalif and his food and beverage team certainly didn’t disappoint. We enjoyed our meals at the Coral Restaurant (buffet) where there is a vast selection of Egyptian and International foods and always freshly grilled or barbecue meat and fish in the evening. The food was fresh, tasty and good quality. Special mentions to Mohamed Allam and both Ahmeds at the Coral Restaurant, Ahmed Mahout at the pool bar and lifeguard Amr who looked after us so well, greeted us with smiles and genuine kindness and worked so hard to ensure that we always received 5 star service. Thank you to the lovely staff for making our stay at Costa Mares such a wonderful holiday.

Absolutely nothing.

1. Generally good hotel. Food, staff, service on a good level, even where its not, they are trying. 2. More as a family stay. After 10-11pm all gone sleeping. 3. Quite expensive to book here comparing to the prices people pay to travel agencies. I suggest management to adjust the pricing policy, or offer extra bonuses, if bookend here (eg better room). 4. I wouldn't say main client group is even middle class. I'd say lower middle, upper lower. 5. I don't think offering people a bottle of wine for a good review is a good practice, but asking them what could be improved and offering them a bottle of fine as a complement for a honest review. Conclusion: family with a small kids (I haven't seen much grown kids facilities, maybe I didn't notice), or couple for a quite stay looking for a decent place with a limited budget within 5 star category.

I really liked everything, you guys dealing with all details with passion and caring which enabling you to provide the best Quality of service, I am booking super user and used to travel each 2 months, but really I admire the place from all aspects (hospitality, staff engagement, caring, Quality of food and services, etc) I am a Quality professional, and this is how we name it (the passion to create the best consumer experience), which I really felt it here Thank you again and I trust that it will never be the last time, please save this place amazing for me till I come back again.

Nothing but maybe points that can make it more and more fabulous is to have 1 designated bottle for each guest having the hotel logo followed by water dispenser everywhere which will enable more water access to the guests while making sure that water saving is happening to ensure good sustainability roadmap :)

Its a dream paradise vacation loved every single thing, the place is embraced by nature with teams working on the clock to maintain a certain level and quality for each and everything! Wanna give a special thanks to Mohamed who gave a us a lovely warm welcome, check inn and an upgrade! Never the less Mahmoud who did an absolute remarkable job for house keeping made everything you wish for come true! never the less yousif, mohamed yousri, Donia, sherif, both Abdulla’s, Abdul Azeem and ahmed who were like the flying carpets for what ever you order serving it with love and absolute pleasure! Lovely vibes were created by the talented animation team Natalaia,Ahmed and micky..keep the good work up! It was so sad leaving guys, see ya next time!

TOO MANY BOATS IN FRONT OF THE BEACH

The setting is very beautiful. The bay is nice to snorkel, pool was decent sized. The meals in the main buffet was good, though if focused more on the land meat. Service/Food at beach bar or a la carte restaurant was satisfying.

First impression was not the best. You wouldn't expect to be guided to the room with other guest as a group in this kind of hotel, was a bit disorganized. One of our room was upgraded but not mentioned, I think more attentive communication would help guest feeling welcomed. The room with bay view was rather compact but was well equipped, just non of us slept well. Not only the noise from outside we could here, but also the fridge or something in the room made really loud noise all the time.

The Iberotel Costa Mares is a lovely "green" hotel, with kind staff and comfortable rooms. The views from the room to the pool area and the sea are beautiful. The main restaurant/buffet area is quite open and modern, the food is delicious and there are many options. The attention to recycling, awareness of waste disposal, the information boards as to the marine life, etc. is what one would expect and demand in such a place. The pool is refreshing and easy to swim in. The beach is well-kept and exclusive to this hotel. Snorkeling is a must in this bay.

The all-inclusive rate was a bit elevated, but in being all-inclusive it was convenient to access all the amenities with ease. The hotel sits on a protected and vital bay, so the utmost vigilance must be given. The staff around the pool and in the restaurant were, at times, too attentive. The lack of elevators in some buildings makes access to some more challenging. The Sky Bar has lovely views, but horrible drinks. The main restaurant offered lots of food, however, the chef did not provide enough vegan options, so my choices were limited. After all, many choose to eat plant-based diets which are healthier and more sustainable! The expansion of the properties is quite much and may eventually overwhelm this beautiful bay.

We stayed here for one week and had an incredible time. We came from New York, and have traveled to many many different resorts all over the world including the Carribean, and Europe. This resort was really beautiful and service was amazing. We really enjoyed the food but the buffet options were top notch. Special shoutout to Mohamed Ousha from the Anchor restaurant. He was attentive, polite, had a great sense of humor and continuously checked in on us. Also Sherif (Luxor) from the Coral Restaurant. He provided a great service and was really kind and wonderful. Shoutout to the entertainment team they were really great. My kids really loved Khalid, Alex and Ameera for their positive attitudes. The rooms were spotless and the hotel was immaculate and kept clean throughout the entire time. We highly recommend this resort for anyone looking to have a relaxing time with wonderful service and great food.

This hotel exceeded our expectations and so much more. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, and the location is amazing for snorkelling and diving. The hotel beach/sea is full of amazing reef, fish, turtles (soo many) and we even saw a huge sea cow. The food is also amazing at the restaurant and there are 3 different restaurants and even more bars/shisha sky bar! The entertainment each night is high quality performances which we really enjoyed - this is something that’s usually poor at hotels but it was really great here! We did some absolutely amazing excursions via the hotel - they only allow reliable and reputable companies to the hotel to offer you excursions, and they won’t disappoint! Honestly we had the most amazing time at this hotel and the staff were absolutely exceptional. All staff- waiters, bar staff, beach staff, lifeguards, housekeeping, reception, taxi staff, entertainment staff, chefs and servers. I can’t describe how lovely they all were, we loved sitting and chatting with them also and they all made us smile and laugh all of the time. Special shout out to Ahmed taxis from reception and also his exceptional driver Ibrahim, both Ahmed beach servers were great and kept us happy at all times! Mustafa the lifeguard and Mahmoud in the sky bar were both great too and so so friendly! And finally our housekeeper Hussein who created special towel figures for us every single day! Thank you allll for an incredible stay, the staff are truly great and genuinely nice people that work so hard to ensure you have a nice time!

Honestly absolutely nothing at all! Amazing stay, was so sad to leave!
