It was newly furnished, clean, modern.. parking was free & on site, no extras to pay or deposits, very good value for money, the staff were very friendly great location

Loved everything

The hotel was lovely and clean. The room was clean and fresh and the mattress was the most comfortable thing I have ever slept on . I wish I could have bought won for myself and the quilts where amazing again I'd love to buy one. Breakfast was very well organised and hot and tasted lovely. There was plenty of gluten free and dairy free options. I would have preferred more fresh fruit as I don't like fruit cocktail I prefer to choose what fruit I like but it's my personal preference.. All staff where friendly and kind. We asked for extra pillows and they had them straight away sent to our room. I loved that the curtain where blackout . The window where clean inside and out. The shower was amazing and the towel where soft. The soap was lovely and a good brand. The hotel was disabled friendly and staff where lovely. There was lots of plugs around the room to.

To be honest there wasn't anything I didn't like , I would say the rooms are great and blackout curtains where perfect , however the gap under the door left alot of light from the hallway in , so solving that would be nice. The Aircon was great but no instructions so we had to Google it . The food was a little expensive , we went over to the pub over the road and found it cheeper , but having room service was a lovely luxury.

The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was a good selection for breakfast. We tried the smoked salmon and boiled eggs from the kitchen one morning which was an extremely generous prtion of salmon. The location was only a short tram ride away from the centre. Overall our stay at this hotel was great value for money. If I am in Nottingham again I would definitely return here.

When I booked the hotel I was certain when I tried to pay in advance for parking it stated complimentary parking. But that wasn't so when I arrived at the hotel we had to pay!!

Perfect location, really pleased with the service we received. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was clean and tidy. we booked a family room. Nothing was too much trouble when we asked for additional items (cot, towels, etc) lovely new bar was a great addition to the hotel. Parking was easy and at no additional cost to hotel guests.

The only minor issue was that we needed the bedding changed and room service done to a higher standard. The bedding was gross with the kids eating in the rooms. They had tucked the bedding in but would advise to change the sheets if you have young people staying in the family rooms.

Everything! What a clean, comfortable hotel. Interiors were smart . Staff were super friendly and professional. We were well looked after. The hotel smells gorgeous! And is spotlessly clean throughout. Nice bar area. We had a lovely lunch in the bar which was tasty and brought to us fairly quickly. Room was lovely, bed and pillows really comfy. Again spotlessly clean and fresh smelling. Lovely walk along the canal to get to the city centre, the hotel is far enough away to make it lovely and quiet but close enough to stroll into the city (for us anyway, we are big walkers ) After a night out in nottingham centre we had a nightcap in the bar followed by a peaceful nights sleep. No noise at all could be heard from our room. We breakfasted the next day in the restaurant at the buffet breakfast which was an impressive spread the bacon was especially delicious and we were also told that there were freshly cooked items available to order (like poached eggs and omelettes) lovely coffee too a d plenty of cereals/pancakes and pastries. Parking was free and plentiful. Really enjoyed our stay and thought it was really good value. And must mention again the really helpful and friendly staff. Top notch!

The only thing that would have improved our stay would have been a mini fridge in the room and a coffee machine! But that's just me being picky . I like to be able to get an ice-cold drink in the night (especially when I've been drinking alcohol) and I do love a proper coffee in bed to wake up a bit before I have to get ready . But not having these things wouldn't stop me coming again!

The hotel has had a face-lift since I was last there a couple years ago and everything was so pleasant. The reception was immaculate as were the lifts, the corridors had a fresh smell to them. The rooms were spacious and had everything you could need. The restaurant was clean and presentable with comfortable seating. The staff were lovely and courteous and answered all our question. It was also easy to get around Nottingham, a tram line was a 5 min walk away and only 2 -3 stops away from the city centre if you didn't want to walk in.

Whilst renovation works we're being undertaken it didn't affect any aspect of our stay. The room was presumably recently refurbished and to a high standard too. Would suggest the bathroom toiletries are not so highly scented. Otherwise all perfect. We were able to top up the tea bags and milk from reception staff when we got back from seeing the Pet Shop Boys in their Dreamworld tour at the Motorpoint Arena. Taxi from the hotel to the arena was only £7 so rather than a half hour or so walk from the hotel was worth it.

All good. One small negative comment would be that for number of staff waiting at breakfast could have been more observant in seeing our table was accumulating breakfast cereal bowls, cups and breakfast plates that needed taking away before we had to put them on an adjacent table in order to make more room on our table. There were only a few residents in at breakfast so think this needs addressing

Pros - good location (near Nottingham canal, shopping centre near by) - 8 GPB by taxi from railway station - great breakfast with cook and you can order omelette and sit outside and if you want - room nice and clean - modern shower - kettle on the room - great free wifi 80/100 Mbps - nice food for dinning and room service (12am to 12am)

Cons - noise isolation is terrible problem with hearing water system and air conditioning - missing small fridge on room - shower is very slippery and water draining works slowly

The breakfast was better than I expected. Lots of choices, from hot to cold, to pick from, and the staff were lovely, even under pressure when they were busy.

My main gripe is the shower! The floor of the shower, when wet, is extremely dangerous. It's so slippery I almost fell. There should be a shower mat in there. The TV could do with an upgrade, as the sound is terrible, and so could the scratchy toilet paper . Apart from that, every thing else was fine.

Very pleased with the room, good breakfast plenty of staff re filling the hot food, also they did cook 2 hard boiled eggs freash.

Resturant was being refurbished so the bar being used as place to eat, the bar seemed lacking in availability of some drinks, No Campari, No Brandy Glasses used small tumbler, asked for a coffee served the 1st one in a latte glass this had been made with a coffee machine with no coffee beans it was dreadful, the second no better a second person took over and said sorry no beans in the machine, and the third served in a correct coffee cup was ok but not good.
