This is a peaceful and beautiful building. We think it is still a working convent but very discreetly occupied. There is a working chapel for worship if required. By offering hotel style rooms, we think the funds go towards their charity. The staff on reception are excellent, particularly Leah. The biggest bonus of this establishment is the parking is safe, free of charge and plentiful. The walk into the centre takes about 15 mins, crossing over one of 3 bridges. Breakfast was continental style and had everything you need to Star the day. We slept very soundly at night and our bed was very comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean. Great value all round!

We booked two rooms for 3 nights and both were clean. The hotel is quiet with a lot of parking stalls. We were welcomed by friendly staff at the reception and received information relevant to our stay. The breakfast is delicious and the location is great. It's easy to get around. We'll certainly stay there again if we return to Angers.

There's nothing we did not like

Extensive and safe parking behind locked gates. Nice linen and comfy beds. Handy and quiet location. Very clear entry instructions as we arrived late.

Rather impersonal clinical feel. It's a very modern conversion of a large convent with lots of wide corridors. But as we arrived late we did not meet the warm staff that others mention. It's brilliantly set up with everything you need and in perfect condition.

Good location convenient to road network

Room was very hot though there was a small ventilator. Could not keep the window open at night as the room was above the rear garden. Got bitten by insects from the garden area. Also very difficult to get a coffee. Had to speak to reception first then go to the restaurant to get the coffee. Seemed to cause some consternation from the waiters. Needs a separate coffee machine in reception.

We really enjoyed the location (close to city centre and Université Angers) and the cleanliness of the hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly! I would definitely recommend for people to stay in this hotel.

The only thing that we didn’t like about the property was that there was no kettle in the room .

The room was clean and the bathroom very tidy. Parking was free and easy to get to as it was just outside our room. The place was very interesting as it was a convent. The staff super friendly and very helpful. The walk to the city centre was nice and you get a great view of the castle and river, which you wouldn’t see otherwise.

I think a kettle would be good as you have to go down to the ground floor to get hot drink and by the time you get upstairs it’s cold. Although the shower is great, having just soap foam in the shower to wash yourself, it is a bit hard to wash your hair with it and my hair is not exactly long.

Easy to navigate. Clean comfy room. The reception staff was premier! Wait staff in restaurant was excellent, except the chef, who refused us a pat of butter when we requested it. The waitress went and got it anyway. Bicycle storage was excellent.

Really squeaky main front door. A little maintenance would work wonders.

Room was very clean and comfortable, the staff very helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Walking in the gardens was very pleasant. A good address for a quiet stay.

The distance from city centre and lack of shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The walk back to the train station was uphill and a bit tough with a suitcase.

Not too far from the centre ville, about half hour walk. We had a standard room, this was very comfortable and roomy with a wet room type shower. on site free parking and friendly staff.

it didn’t bother me too much but my husband would have liked a tv in the room ( not available in a standard room) as unable to go out the 2nd night of our stay due to illness. Also no bar to relax in with coffee or a glass of wine. This was only available if you booked a meal in the restaurant. There was a coffee vending machine in the downstairs lobby but not good to carry hot coffee up to the 3rd floor.

Friendly helpful staff. Quiet, clean and modern room with lovely bathroom and very comfortable bed. We slept soundly, and left feeling refreshed. The building is like an oasis of peace. Nice continental breakfast with tea, coffee, croissants, yogurt, jam, brie n ham. Car parking is available and leaving the car there till lunchtime on the last day was not a problem.

Didn't see any evidence of hot cooked food for breakfast and because we arrived a little too close to the end of service, I didn't ask if any was available. Needing to vacate the room by 9am is earlier than most but doable.
