This is a lovely, cool, period hotel with marble staircase, a piano in the lobby and historical and theatrical frames throughout. Philippe at the reception couldn't do enough for us - he was everything you want in the front-of-the-house team. Reception also had free drinks (with ice machine - much appreciated when it's 38°c!) and a little library (in French). I enjoyed a BD on the history of Avignon whilst sipping a local lemon sirop. Breakfast was a buffet - à volonté - with something for everyone and more than enough to last the day. The location was excellent - 2 minutes from the main high streetand Old Town. Plus we had a parking space for our stay inside the hotel grounds so no nasty parking fees. Do check on the day though as places are limited - the nearer to check-out time (11.30am) you arrive, the better. Our room (the family room) had a balcony too and was next to a first floor rooftop garden which looked across to a medieval religious building.

One light wasn't working and we had difficulty with the flush - a maintenace issue - but it didn't spoil our stay.

It is quite close of the Avignon Centre station, the gare routiere and the city centre, so the location is really good. The room was simple, but comfortable .

The plumbing is probably old and it is an old building, so a weird smell comes out of the bathroom. I also thought it was weird to have the toilet separate from the shower, but it was manageable. At last, I had a problem of having my wallet stolen with all my cards and id at a train station, and the staff did not offer much help in that sense.

Location is amazing, inside the walls within short walking distance to the old town and Palais du Papes. The staff were incredibely nice and helpful. There was parking available on the street - free at night and for a small fee during the day (payable by the hours). The room is basic but clean and spacious.

Comfortable room with very good bathroom. Coffee and cold water always available in the reception area. Helpful staff on reception. Just a few minutes walk to the centre of the city and the river. A good buffet breakfast with ample choice. You can leave luggage in a locked room in reception if you arrive early or leave late and want to explore the city without lugging bags around.

Easy walk to main attractions and to the railway station. Staff were pleasant and helpful at all times. Hotel was staffed 24 hours a day so easy access at all times. Plenty of dairy free options at breakfast for guest with a cow’s milk allergy. Room was spacious enough for our needs.

Very happy with everything provided at this hotel. It met our needs and expectations.

It's a small family owned hotel in a very nice and safe location. The hallways were a little bit outdated but clean. The AC in any scale above low was very noisy. Rooms facing the front seem bigger. Very quiet!± Also, the most comfortable mattress and pillows I have slept in a hotel so far. They have complementary coffee and tea. The breakfast was very good. The staff were amazing. Very close ro the train station. Overall, I would go back if I am back in Avignon.

It was in a quiet, convenient location. Sunny terrace. Great breakfast . Excellent, friendly, helpful staff, especially Harald, Gaile, and Hamid.

Disappointing that the wifi wasn’t available in our room and only worked in the hotel lobby. Terrace had potential, the pot plants needed some care.

The location was very good, within the city walls. There was car parking available but limited space. Staff were friendly & helpful. The breakfast was very good & the additional tea & coffee available in a separate room 24hrs was a bonus.

You had to run the shower for some time before any hot water appeared. No hot water coming from the sink tap in the evening.

Large room, quiet and comfortable. Secure off street car parking (€10 nite) or bike store. 10 min walk into town and 150m to OCollins Irish bar on the corner. Plenty of hot water and AC worked fine. Not modern hotel but functional. Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful

No coffee making kettle in the room. Could not open window but this maybe HS regulations

A little more run down than expected, the terrace looked pretty much abandoned, but overall good for the price and location. Owners / workers were all super nice, and cleaners always did a wonderful job with our room (with 2 little kids it was hard to keep it clean even though we tried)
