What a wonderful stay, the location is amazing being right across the street from Omaha beach. We loved being able to watch the tides come in and out as the beach is totally overcome by the sea twice a day, its really something to see. It's such a quiet and peaceful spot that allows for unobstructed reflection on the events that occurred here. Omaha beach is a must see. Quite surreal to think about what occurred there. The staff were friendly and easy to communicate with in all capacities from check-in to dining. We ate breakfast one morning at the hotel, it was lovely and had the expected European offerings we are used to, cold meats, cheese, boiled eggs, fruit, bread basket on the table with fresh jelly/jams, pastries, juice, coffee and tea. We ate dinner two evenings in the restaurant. The patio view and indoor decor are perfect. Explore and read some of the decor items in the restaurant and bar as the historical items are a great read. The drinks were tasty and the food was good. We enjoyed the seafood omelet, several pizzas, salads, shrimp and a soup. Our room was one floor up and had plenty of space inside for all our needs. It had three big windows that fully opened to receive all that sea breeze and salty air. The sun did go down late, about 11 pm and it did come up early, around 5am so if you need it dark to sleep I would suggest eye shades/mask if you want to leave the windows open. If you close the windows, you can completely block the outside light with the hand turned rouladens. We stayed 3 nts. A great central location to stay and move about to view the other Normandy area sites. Highly recommend walking around outside the property into the each and up the hill on the main road to see historical pieces. The D Day Museum up the street is really great and the family story is awesome not to mention that they actually have a few items in their museum not at other museums. I loved that the bathroom door closed two ways in our room.

Honestly I felt bad that we made the bell go off in the hallway often as we came in and out but its sensors in the hall to alert staff of comings and goings. The duvet bedding was a great texture and quality but for us it was a bit warm for July fourth weekend. We did appreciate having an extra light blanket in the closet if we happened to need it. Really didn't dislike anything.

Location was absolutely amazing. Right on Omaha beach. The veiw out of our upstairs window was amazing and the breeze more than cooled the room. The food in the restaurant was great and the service crew were energetic and very smart and efficient. Great memories! In fact we would have stayed longer and will probably revisit someday.

I stayed in this hotel 19 years ago with my husband and baby daughter and came back this time with my teenage son. The hotel was just as charming as last time. Our stay brought back such wonderful feelings of nostalgia. From the amazing location to the lovely breakfast, it was perfect!

Nothing!

This has been my favorite hotel I’ve stayed at during my time in France! The room was much bigger than I expected, the place is managed very well, and the location was excellent for the sight seeing I wanted to do. I couldn’t recommend it more.

N/A - I did not have any issue or dislikes with this hotel

The view of the ocean was amazing. The room was clean and decorated nicely. Quiet and peaceful. The bathroom was roomy and the shower was big.

No Air Conditioning but the weather was cool enough for comfort.

This historic hotel was located on Omaha Beach. Multigenerational home was full of memorabilia from WWII. Location was great to visit museums and American Cemetary.

Without a car, you had limited restaurants to select.

Great location overlooking Omaha beach and loads of history tied to both the hotel and area. Very friendly staff. Psrking was easy.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed and airco would have been a plus.

The breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant where we had it faced the panorama of Omaha beach.

There was nothing not to like!
