Wonderfully helpful, knowledgeable staff, very good service. Terrific cocktail bar, very interestingly decorated, great staff, great service, very helpful with recommendations on their food & wine. They presently use this room for breakfast & again, lovely variety of breakfast food. Location is great for walking, catching a tram &/or to organise taxi collection.

Sadly people noise from the street was loud & continued to disturb sleep through the night. Despite closed windows, it didn't help & during summer months you may wish to leave open for air. I believe there are plans to refurbish the rooms & that would help as the size is snug & hanging clothes up is a process of maneuvering a door etc..

Location was very good. being able to change rooms without additional cost when we discovered that the room with a terrace only have a small double bed. Very tight spaces made managing luggage difficult. We were given a more spacious room without fuss. This had more space and was much more comfortable to meet our needs. We found that the terrace looked out onto construction so wasn't particularly valuable. Possibly useful for those who smoke and travelling solo. Staff were excellent, helpful on directions to landmarks, and generally kind and understanding.

The original room was very small, and as was explained rooms with terraces (albeit a very small one) were on the smaller size. That would have been OK but for the very small bed. Not suitable for two people. I possibly missed reading about the size of the bed when booking - but am very alert to it now.

THe hotel looks like something out of the movies, it definitely has the wow factor :) The location was fantastic, we were able to get to everywhere we wanted very easily, and mostly by walking. The rooms were comfortable, even if on the small side, the AC worked great (and was very important!) and the staff were all nice and helpful.

THe rooms were very small, especially the regular double, and the breakfast was not worth the money. We tried it for one day, and then moved on to eating outside.

Staff were so friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and comfortable with TV and WiFi throughout. The shower was very nice with a rain showerhead fitted as well as an adjustable hand held shower head. We also enjoyed the breakfast which had a selection of croissants, locally made jams and honey, fresh yoghurt, selection of cured meats and cheeses, cereal and a selection of cakes including mini caneles :) There is a lift available which was good for my elderly mum.

Note that the bathroom and toilet are separate with no washbasin in the toilet. This might be usual in France though, unsure as it's my first time :)

The staff are very professional and welcoming. The breakfast is varied and delicious. The hotel makes a good effort to recycle (waste bins are divided into sections) and use reusable containers for drinking water and yogurts. Well furnished and decorated; quiet. I chose a rate including breakfast which was good value.

A couple of design problems in the bathroom which was too narrow for me to comfortably brush my long hair! Also, water seeps between the sill of the shower and the bottom edge of the glass partition threatening a flood, but by my second shower I had learned to use the bath mat to dam the flow. The room entrance door does not fit well - light comes in from the corridor.

This is a great hotel to visit Bordeaux. The hotel is very centrally located so it's easy to walk to all sites nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. We did not have breakfast in the hotel so I cannot comment on that. When it was time to go to the train station, the staff arranged a taxi for us and was there at the time requested. There are plenty of shops & restaurants nearby. Highly recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay here again.

Great location within walking distance to the town centre, shopping area, restaurants and not far for trams. We were happy to be able to check in a little early after sending a request in advance. The front desk gave us good recommendations for places to eat nearby. Really liked that the hotel had a water filter off the lobby and let you use a bottle in your room to refill.

We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel as we thought the additional fee was a bit high.

We arrived after 10am just to leave our luggage and our room was ready which was a fantastic bonus to be able to change and freshen up after travelling before leaving to sight see. Location is good near lots of shops but a short walk to the hustle and bustle of the bars and restaurants. The hotel is a beautiful old building and decorated lovely. great shower. We were able to leave our luggage on checking out as our flight wasnt until the evening.

Efficient air conditioning unit, which was welcome during the hot nights. Bed was comfortable, and the room generally well appointed. Room was quiet.

Room was a little small: would have been tight had there been two of us in it. The entrance to the bathroom was a trip hazard/easy to injure a foot in bare feet. A better solution to the sliding door, which was only needed because the space was so tight, needs to be sought.

The staff were excellent particularly Nicholas who assisted us with booking our onward train journey. The location was excellent, very central but very quiet. The breakfast was very well presented and the member of staff serving breakfast was polite and helpful. The bar in the evening was very welcoming. We loved this hotel it was a little oasis in the centre of Bordeaux.

We should have chosen a larger room - our fault!
