Breakfast was excellent. Beautiful selection of pastries, fruit, yoghurt and cheese which was different each day. Limitless amount of tea and coffee There was also a coffee machine in our suite

There was no hairdryer in the room (but to be fair I didn’t request one)

If you want an authentic stay in Carcassonne this is the place.The 3 storey house has completely been revamped to a high standard.The bathroom we had in room 2 was ultra modern but the decor of bedroom/ living room was kept in old tradition with excellent decoration.The hosts Rachel and Mark were the very best in helping you.The continental breakfasts were the best we’ve had on travels in UK and EU.The personal touch does make a difference between a 5 star hotel and a local B and B.They really have worked hard to build up to a lovely place to stay and of course I would recommend a visit

Just back from a 4 night stay at Carcassonne Townhouse. Loved Carcassone but our great choice of accommodation made the 4 nights even better. If you’re looking to stay somewhere with character and a personal touch, this is the place. The Townhouse is quirky and full of character, you can see the effort put in by hosts Rachael and Mark when they lovingly restored it. Informative instructions received prior to visit. Location of Townhouse is ideal for both the Medieval City and Bastide Saint-Louis. Big spacious rooms and a cute garden you can use. Rachael and Mark are fantastic hosts, happy to pass on their knowledge of the area and to assist you with all your requests. Highly recommend.

The location of Carcassonne Townhouse is perfect, a short walk from both the medieval city and the ´new’ town. Inside, Carcassonne Townhouse is beautifully decorated and appointed and also spotlessly clean. There are so many thoughtful touches that make it a perfect place to stay. Rachael the host is very welcoming and goes out of her way to help guests. The breakfasts served we’re absolutely delicious, a wonderful selection which changed slightly each day. If returning to Carcassonne in the future I would not hesitate to stay her again, it is perfect!

Nothing to dislike

Beautifully restored townhouse in a quiet location , minutes walk from the old city . I believe just 5 rooms .The king suite was incredibly spacious and tastefully fitted out . Good view of the walled city . Very close to bus stop and short walk to train station. Mark , the host , was so helpful, recommending places to visit , restaurants . Breakfast was amazing , fresh , locally sourced and, different each day . Definitely would recommend. Forget about the hotels in the city , enjoy an authentic experience in the townhouse .

Cannot praise this place highly enough. Located in a quiet side street, you have a wonderful view of the fortified town up on the hill above you. An unassuming but elegant building on the outside, it has been renovated throughout with great care and taste. Our room (#3) was very comfortable, spacious with lovely bedding and linens. The double sinks in the large ensuite were a treat.. Each day started with an amazing spread at breakfast, which really set us up for a day of exploring the town. Fantastic hosts could not have been more helpful and attentive. It was the perfect base to explore Carcassonne and the surrounding area.

Beautiful townhouse and garden in a great location with balcony views of river and the old town. Our stay was very comfortable, Rachel was a very warm and welcoming host.. The breakfasts are wonderful and the garden was a beautiful setting to start the day. Very easy to get around carcassonne.. With an Abundance of beautiful shops and restaurants... Our favourite was Agape which is conveniently situated around the corner...

There wasn't a thing we did not like.

A beautiful guest house that is perfectly located between the medieval town and new town. The room was comfortable and quiet. A fantastic breakfast was served which was slightly different each day and it is clear that the hosts put a great deal of care and attention into ensuring their guests have a lovely stay. Rachael who was the host during our stay was able to recommend restaurants and answer questions we had about local attractions or travel. I cannot recommend this guesthouse enough.

Every now and then we find a treasure like the Carcassonne Townhouse. A wonderful stay for a reasonable cost. The room was beautiful and big. The breakfast was delicious and interesting. And with all of this, in a great location. If you are looking to book something and find this listing - grab it!

Absolutely nothing. From the soap in the bathroom, to linen sheets. The fans in the bedroom to the beautiful courtyard. This is a real treasure. Very few places are this good at any price.

Mark and Rachel were wonderful hosts. The breakfast was very good and the location of the guesthouse was convenient. The room consisted of a large bedroom area, a sitting room and a large bathroom with great counter space and a shower.

The flooring of the room had many broken or loose tiles, which we found awkward when walking around the room. The hosts are aware and will soon be making repairs. The bed and bedding (sheets, pillows) could have been better.
