The location was great, the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room was quite small and a bit tired, but clean and adequate. Very welcome complimentary drinks plus tea and coffee making facilities.

The hotel was quite difficult to find and Parking was located in a public underground car park, about half a mile away from the hotel. The unpleasant smell in the reception area which wasn’t masked by the overpowering air fresheners. Our room was located overlooking a busy main road and we were woken early the next morning by noise from the street due to deliveries being made. We were also kept awake by guests in the next room who seemed to be hammering on other doors and yelling in the early hours of the morning. We mentioned this on check out and were told that no one else had complained. Definitely not worth €179, plus parking!

Very stylish hotel in a great location just over a small bridge from the old town / Cite. Room was lovely, although slightly strange arrangement with the bathroom - two open spaces at either end of it with no doors. So anyone sitting at the lovely table by the window had full view of the other person in the shower! Maybe it’s just us being a bit British - we’re not that European in our approach to sharing bathroom time! Other than that, really lovely hotel with a beautiful outdoor sun terrace facing the old castle.

A couple of doors on the bathroom would have been nice!

The most friendly and welcoming staff we have experienced in a long time. The hotel is beautiful and very chic. The interior decor is so well designed and there is a lovely continuity of colours throughout. It is very relaxing with plenty of beautiful and comfortable seating throughout. A very special view of La Cite from our balcony and the patio. Our room was quite large, extremely comfy large bed with quality bed linen. Huge bathroom with a great shower. Only a short walk th La Cite. Nice pool, if a little small.

Having to pay ti use the sauna. No door from the bathroom to the room.

The reception staff, very nice and helpful mostly.

I did not like being charged for two expensive glasses of wine, which we did not order or have, we checked with them when this order was made and informed them we were not in the hotel at the time. On checking out, they insisted on payment of this order, very disappointed to pay for something we did not have.

I think the hotel staff must have upgraded our room as it was incredible! A hottub in the bathroom and the best view of the old town. We would have spent hours on the really large balcony if the weather was better. We were greeted with a selection of local cakes which was a really lovely way to start the holiday.

Nothing - we'd definitely stay here again when in carcassonne.

what a fabulous experience.Thank you Delphine,Alexandre,Thomas also thankyou to the front of house (concierge's) for the wonderful welcome .This is a superb hotel run by the friendliest staff in the most fabulous location .The pool was fantastic as was the spa....the breakfast with champagne fantastic ,..evening meals(we ate everything on the menu) fabulous......I would say there were faults here and there however nothing that would stop me recommending this hotel .

Location firstly… friendliness, cleanliness… good value for money.

We had breakfast each morning and was the same each day. No toaster either. Fairly good variety but would have been nice to of mixed it up a bit. Pool was not overly warm even when swimming I couldn’t get warm. That’s it.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel du Roi & Spa. We were staying one night in Carcassonne & the hotel was perfectly situated between the old city & the newer part of town. It was a short walk to both in opposite directions which was ideal. Our room was nice, clean & comfy. We did not use any of the hotel facilities so can't comment. Staff were very friendly & helpful.

Big room, lovely desserts left in room, excellent bathroom, free water in fridge.

Swimming pool not open until 10am...impossible to go for an early morning swim. TV would not connect for screen casting meaning we had no option other than watch BBC news.

The menu was limited and not many options for young children Breakfast could be improved, Customer service very hot and miss, we had a problem with the safe alarm and was told to close the door and leave it until morning, this was at 6pm. Not the service one would expect from a five star hotel.
