One of an ever diminishing group, this hotel is locally owned and operated, with a Tabac and bar in the front. The rooms are modest but large enough, with bathrooms you can actually use without contortions. The furniture is modest as well, but the linens are fresh and the bed comfy. What made it memorable was the owner and her staff, who worked har$ to understand my limited French. Dinner and breakfast can be included with a demi-pension or added. Bith meals were pleasant. Relish the pleasure of using an actual key instead of a card. Located in the center of town, the tabac and bar are a local gathering place with abundant choices of beer and wine.

Nothing not to like. If you need luxe or glam, this is not your place.

When we first arrived at 1730 the hotel looked closed, no lights on and shutters down but then we realised that it was the 1st Feb and somewhat out of season. The rear door was open and keys had been left out for us with a note to say what time supper would be served. The room was basic but very clean and the supper was simple but excellent home cooked honest food. We were made to feel very welcome and would stay again. Excellent value for money including supper. I suspect if you stayed in the height if summer it would be buzzing with guests, front terrace and bar open and a whole different experience.

A comfortable and friendly small hotel with a nostalgic feel. The staff made us feel very welcome. Tasty evening meal and very comfortable bed. Easy drive from the A26 but make sure you exit at Laon and not Rheims, unless you want a roundabout ( and pretty) drive through the countryside.

Like going back to an old fashioned French hotel. On arrival our keys were in the hallway as the lady of the hotel doesn't appear until about 18:30 but she was really friendly and made you feel at home. Bedroom was spacious and clean. Dinner menu was limited but with delicious food. The same with breakfast. This was really like returning to the France we love, not an anonymous chain hotel, but one with true character.

Lovely quiet little place to stay , looks so different inside compared to outside. Great place to stop on the way to Calais, coming home. We were able to have dinner there ,so no need to go out and find somewhere to eat. Bed comfy .

Bathroom was quite small, but for only one night so okay and it was en-suite . Bedroom warm , Fan for room maybe , in summer months it must be really hot !

We booked a triple room for 2 adults and 2 children, we were pleased to find this was actually 2 rooms connected with a curtain between them, which meant the children could go to bed and my husband and I could have the light on and read in the room next door. Rather than all being in one room. The shower facilities were good. We just stayed one night to sleep on our journey through France.

Location. Very convenient for overnight stay. Although there were no staff available when we arrived, our room key was left for us in reception and we were able to find our room and settle in.

We arrived on a Sunday and the restaurant is closed on a Sunday which we knew. There was nowhere nearby where we could get a meal unless we travelled 20km to Laon.

We booked this last minute, turned up around 9pm Staff was so accommodating for us, even rang the local restaurant to stay open for us as we hadn't eaten. Breakfast was brilliant, Croissants and coffee was the best we've had! Thanks

Nice, traditional place, basic but very friendly and helpful

Food is limited, and I managed to choose two courses from the set menu which both contained cheese (not including the cheese platter which could have been a third). Possibly they own the local cheese shop?

The hotel is old, but repaired. Breakfast is served. A bit french for a Dutchman, but ok. They have also option for dinner, so you can have a good stay in this hotel.
