The location was great to walk around Honfleur. We were initially given a room on the third floor but when we spotted the very narrow, winding staircase we asked for another room. The receptionist was very helpful in changing our room to the first floor and she also helped with one of our suitcases. We have managed stairs before but these are quite narrow.

Car parking can be an issue. We parked right out the front of the hotel and checked with the receptionist on the parking requirements of which surprisingly she did not know but told us where free parking was available. The next morning a different receptionist advised us that the parking was only for 15 minutes. It would have been nice to have been informed of that on the previous day.

This far exceeded my expectations for a 3* hotel. We were extremely impressed as the location was perfect in the old town and although the room was small the quality of the decor including the en-suite bathroom was modern, clean and better than a 3*. I have stayed in 4* hotels in Europe that were a disappointment and I believe the only reason that Hotel Du Dauphin is not a 4* is because it does not have additional facilities e.g. a swimming pool which is not required in this beautiful boujis, historical town of Honfleur. We would definitely stay again as it was great value for money, and pet friendly for our little Chihuahuas too. We travelled by car and albeit there is no parking onsite, within a walking distance there is a car park which is free which was an added bonus... but only if you can find a space in peak season! :)

The breakfast was very basic and not great value but with so many restaurants and bars closeby and within a stone's throw away there was no requirement to use the restaurant facilities. A modern smart TV upgrade would be a great addition to the rooms as we were unable to log into our Netflix etc...

Our stay was in one of the apartment suites, one bedroom and living room and kitchenette. Great location! lovely view over the main square. Lots of stairs, but that is to be expected in an historic building; stairs were well lit and good handrail. The apartment is around the corner from the main hotel entrance. Kudos to Celine at the front desk, friendly and great English (my French is bad), she even carried a suitcase up for us. Comfortable bed, nice sheets, large bathroom. Kitchen even had a drawer dishwasher. Very clean. The photo is a view from the apartment window with the smaller Wednesday market, Saturday market is much larger. Great veggies, etc at the market!

Nothing not to like, hope to be back.

The location of the hotel was great, right in the centre of town and there is free parking less than a 10 minute walk away. The staff are very friendly and helpful and it's great to see an all-female team. The room was clean and warm, with a nice shower. We were also able to leave our luggage after we checked out, and there is also a very small gym available for use.

The room was average, it looked like we got one of the smaller rooms in the hotel, and the rooms are also in a different building across the road from where you check in. It can be difficult if you have a lot of luggage as the entire area is cobblestones, so it would be good to inform guests where to actually drop their luggage before, which is not where you check in. The check in time is also very late at 5pm. They do this to encourage guests to book through their website where you get a check in time of 4pm. However this seems rather unreasonable and pointless when the room is already available. The same goes for check out, no one came to clean the room for hours after we left the room (I know this as my friend went back to get something she left in her room).

We booked this last minute after an AirBnB we booked turned into a nightmare. The staff were lovely and helpful and spoke very good English. The rooms were large and well decorated, although it could have used a fridge as we had a baby and would help preserve breast milk. The gym was small but clean and the equipment was well maintained. For an extra charge we got the breakfast which was a buffet style and the food was above average for a hotel buffet.

Lack of fridge in the room and Sauna was an additional cost over the gym.

It was the best surprise to be in this hotel. It’s located in the heart of Honfleur in front of St.Catherine church in old buildings but it’s completely renovated! Rooms are not so big (as always in France))), but very cozy, modern and stylish, nice new furniture and new bathroom, great big bad, fresh white linens, clean towels. The best for me was combining of absolutely modern rooms with views of small street and traditional ardoice rooftops which is full of old French city spirit! Very friendly and helpful staff in the hotel. As result - we stayed in this hotel for second night))) It was also amazing!

A great 2 bedroom house in an old pretty building right in the centre of Honfleur. It was like staying in a holiday home but with access to the hotel. Everything was cute with a nice little outdoor seating area

No parking. It's quite confusing driving through the centre of Honfleur. Luckily we booked a garage with the hotel, but it's still a 3/4 minute walk away on cobbled streets

We had a great time here. I traveled with my children aged 14, 12 and 9 and we had plenty of bed and bathroom space. Excellent location, great staff. Clean.

My only fault would be that despite having a well intentioned kitchenette with a hob, oven, fridge and freezer , we couldn’t really cook as there was no kitchen equipment save cutlery and crockery. So we spent a lot more then planned eating out.

The hotel is located on the street in the old town. Great for restaurants and sightseeing. The rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed for 1 night. The staff were lovely and very helpful.

The location means no car parking, and it can be difficult to short term park nearby for loading/unloading. The decor in the rooms was modern and a bit gauche. The bathroom was exceptionally small and if the toilet had been incorporated rather than in a separate closet would have allowed more space. As I said OK for 1 night.
