We payed for one of the biggest rooms and were gratefull we did.We were in a seperate part away from the main hotel.Room was big and comfortable, had everything we needed.Bathroom was big and so was the bath.Bed was big and comfortable.Heating was plentiful and warmed the big room up nicely. Big fridge which was handy for some cheese and ham.Big supermarket opposite was a touch. Location of the hotel is spot on,very short walk to the harbour and everything Honfleur has to offer.Find the small fish market to the right of the harbour,cracking plates of various shellfish and fish to try with a nice glass of wine and thet don't pull your pants down with the prices. Breakfast was ample(small area to eat)not a massive choice but we weren't left hungry,lots of free parking in and around the hotel.

No beer on tap,warm bottles of heineken was the choice and ran out of red wine sunday evening,out of wine,in France. Sure there's a law against that.

Hotel La Diligence is perfectly located for exploring Honfleur on foot. The breakfasts were excellent, including sliced meats, a very good selection of cheeses and hard-boiled eggs, aside from the usual croissants and baguettes. The breakfast room was very cosy. The concierge was very pleasant and helpful. And the cleaning staff were exceptional: clean towels every day, fresh sheets every other day. It was nice to have private parking. For touring, Rouen was an hour and a half in one direction, Bayeux an hour and a half in the other direction. I would stay there again.

We have stayed here several times before, location is great just a few minutes walk from the harbour. There is a car park but this was full when we arrived, but we found free parking up the road because we knew where to go. I paid a bit extra for a larger room and was pleased with it. We had a good time and we will be back.

We had a few issues with the TV but they could not be resolved as it was the weekend. The decor in the room is a little dated but the location of the hotel makes up for that.

The whole visit went smoothly, everything promised was delivered and as for the staff, they were exceptional.....including Joseph, the manager of many aspects not least of all his "role above President Macron !!!" Joseph was super...hard working, friendly approachable, well known locally and a real gem. Parts of the hotel style fitted so well into a category of past elegance, well preserved and practical. The garden view was rearly inviting with its wooden characters. Ooooh, and free on- site parking, opposite a mini supermarket and a pharmacy.

We would have loved to have organised a longer stay.

Excellent location, only a few minutes walk into the old centre of town and the very pretty harbour, where there are many restaurants and bars.

The room was very clean and functional with a separate bath/shower room and toilet. However even though there was a mini fridge it would have been good to have facilities to make a hot drink, tea or coffee. When we stayed it was very hot even into the late evening and our room didn't have air conditioning which would have been welcomed.

The hotel had the wonderful old regional charm and warmth. The gentleman on Reception was an example to others through his professionalism and care to provide an excellent service eg as we had our dog we didn’t want to disturb others while having breakfast so sat at a table outside. He immediately brought out a table cloth and set the table for us.

Loved the hotel as it was. We get bored of staying in hotels where you could be in any country. The French identity added to a sense of place and the fact that we were on holiday.

This is a very quaint, original, charming and friendly hotel. It's quirky and old-fashioned but we liked that it had character and personality. It's just a short walk from the harbour and we enjoyed this immensely: we looked forward to our strolls down the road and loved seeing the boats come into view. We were there during Storm Ciaran and the rooms were cosy and warm, the central heating worked a dream and there was copious hot water. Breakfast is typical for France: good croissants, nice baguettes, some delicious cheeses/meats, coffee and juice. Cereal for the kids. The staff were lovely: couldn't be more friendly and kind. There's a supermarket over the road. Very handy!

Travellers should note that there's free parking but it's limited and first come, first served. We were unlucky and didn't get spaces often, partly because we always got back so late. But the trick is to use the on-street parking, which you don't pay for overnight. You just have to make sure you get up at 9am to pay, or if guests have left for the day, move the car to the hotel. That worked perfectly for us. Avoid the main carpark in Honfleur, which is 24€ for an overnight stay!

Nice, comfortable hotel in easy to find location, ideal for exploring the sights of Honfleur. Handy to have the free parking, albeit a little bit tight squeezing the car in. Breakfast was included and was very enjoyable. Honfleur is an amazing place full of old buildings and streets, with loads of restaurants. We had a fabulous meal at a a bar called Relais des Cyclists, it was a real treat and good value for money.

There's no tea/coffee making facilities in the room - seems to be the thing more and more in France.

This is our second stay here, and we returned because it is a very nice place to stay. It is only a 5 minute walk to the main port basin where there a plenty of bars and restaurants. The hotel is very nicely finished, with colourful flowers on the external balconies. There is free private parking in the courtyard, but it is limited so you need to arrive early enough to guarantee a spot. Breakfast is a good self-service continental breakfast. On this occasion we were given an upgrade into a suite which is above reception. The room is very ornately decorated - although the bed was a little short for someone who is 6'3".

Nothing - we would visit again

The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful. The location was just a few minutes away from the centre of Honfleur along a main route with shops, bars and cafes. The continental breakfast offered plenty of choice in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Rooms were basic but they were clean and provided complimentary products, so overall good value for money.

The parking was limited and full. However staff directed us to alternatives which were close by and economical.
