- at the centre of town and a great place to start exploration of the region. We did day trips to Chateau de Vasceuil and Rouen - Lyons-la-foret as very beautiful and the hotel blends very sympathetically with it all and uses local buildings cleverly - pleasant, friendly staff - we had two mini houses - lovely living rooms and little kitchenettes so perfect for our family, reasonably comfortable BUT not as comfortable as the hotel rooms themselves (also stayed last June) - decent breakfast

- lumpy weird square pillows (but comfortable beds) - as a hotel guest you have spa access but the spa will only give hotel guests a towel and not a robe - felt petty - they could have been more proactive / showed initiative on arrival telling us critical / useful information: eg1. you have to book spa treatments well in advance- everything was booked out yet the hotel had phoned us in advance to ask if we wanted brunch or breakfast on the Sunday but didn’t mention to book spa treatments eg2- it was bastille day but no mention was made of that either so we heard fireworks at 11 and wondered why. Plus couldn’t get a restaurant table anywhere that evening

Beautiful Hotel in beautiful historic Normandy village with spa/pool. We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom cottages with private terraced garden which was wonderful and actually cheaper than a double room in the hotel. The Spa is relaxing and pool is great and most welcome as it was 34 degrees. Breakfast was really nice service was good. The village is an absolute gem

Breakfast had great choice with all tastes catered for including meats, smoked salmon, fresh fruit and pastries.

The swimming pool opened after 10.00am - I prefer to swim before breakfast - not a complaint as excellent facility.

The bath with shower handle but not able to shower. The breakfast fell short of what would be expected.

Lovely village and our room was in a charming old cottage down street from main hotel. Excellent dinner and fantastic massage in the spa

All 4 pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable which was a shame

In a traditional style, quiet despite being in the centre of the village, close to the forest. charming breakfast room and peaceful garden terrace. The La Licorne restaurant is exceptional quality and the attention to quality ingredients also applies to the breakfast.

Arrived a little too late to make full use of the spa but what we did use was amazing. The staff were lovely and the food in the evening was very good. Great location too. Looks like they have buildings for the hotel all over the village!

beautiful setting in a beautiful village. excellent restaurant and lovely staff.

not that it can be helped by the hotel but because the building is old, it isn’t great for sound insulation and we have some extremely noisy people with kids above us running around until 1am. I think we were just unlucky

The charm of this very old hotel. The friendly helpful staff, the pool and spa, the delicious food. And the upgrade!

There was nothing to dislike.

Breakfast was simple but with very high quality produce on offer. Quality trumps choice, so full marks.
