Les 4 'etoiles is a small, lovely guesthouse in a residential neighborhood just a 15 minute walk to the center of Montpellier. It's also a very easy walk to the train station for day trips all around Montpellier. All the rooms are top floor, with a central kitchen area for use by all, as well as a lovely terrace for breakfast or for relaxing after a day of enjoying the city and the surrounding towns. The bedroom was spacious, with a terrific shower, and was very quiet. Pierre is a most gracious host who provides a wonderful breakfast, and much helpful information about Montpellier and the other areas surrounding it. We loved staying there and look forward to returning!I

Honestly, we loved everything about it.

We loved everything!! The location was perfect for us, we were visiting my son who is studying abroad in Montpellier. Everything was perfectly clean and comfortable and Pierre was a wonderful host. The breakfast was amazing and his home is simply beautiful. I cannot recommend this place enough and if I find myself in Montpellier again I would absolutely love to stay here again!! Please do yourself a favor and stay here, you will not regret it at all!! Merci beacoup Pierre!!

Nothing, it was perfect!!

Wow, what a special stay this was. Pierre and the accommodation actually made our holiday. Pierre is absolutely divine, such a considerate host. The hospitality was really something and our room very comfortable with fantastic facilities. The delicious breakfast was also a highlight. The location was fantastic, close to the old town but away from all the crowds. We would never stay anywhere else and hope to come back with the rest of our family one day.

Everything went very well. The host is very friendly, provides excellent advice and makes a fresh French breakfast every morning. The location is perfect. We left the car at the premises and used public transport. It is easy, comfortable and gets you anywhere, fast and no hassle at any time of the day. Bravo Pierre, bravo Montpellier. We will be back.

Nothing. It is great. No change to be made to anything. We enjoyed the Open Sud de France in optimal conditions thanks to our great host.

Little hotel, more like a bed and breakfast, only 4 rooms. The host made excellent breakfast every morning. He told us much about the city and its environments. He was there always to answer our questions, gave us really personal service. It was as if we were guests at a private home, not an hotel. Very much recommended!

The accommodation is centrally located and the city center within walking distance. Very nice location and only a few minutes to the aqueduct. Pierre is a really nice and caring host who gives you great tips and prepares a great breakfast with croissants, baguette, egg, jam, cheese..., freshly squeezed fruit juice. For me it was an all-round restful stay. It was very clean and stylishly furnished. I stayed there for three nights and felt at home.

Pierre is an incredibly attentive host and simply a nice guy. He really wants you to enjoy your stay and will do everything he can to help. Plus his English is excellent. The breakfasts were superb: freshly squeezed orange juice, great French press coffee, gorgeous croissants and pains au chocolat, plus an omelette or eggs if you wish. I'm pretty sure that guests can use the fridge-freezer and hob too, although I never had the need. The rooms are a good size, with large and comfortable double beds, and I never had a problem with temperature or noise. You should sleep well. The location is overall a plus point - a ten-minute walk into the historic town centre, nearby tram service - but obviously you can find hotels and other guest houses closer to the centre if that's a priority.

The only real downside to Les 4 Etoiles is a lack of places to relax. There are chairs in the rooms but they're hard and narrow, so I ended up perching on the end of the bed. While there is a communal area, it's geared towards eating; there is seating elsewhere, but it's again more suited to perching on than relaxation.

Lovely typical French House with beautiful windows and shutters. Great location to walk anywhere and also the 3 tram line (5 mins walk to Les Arceaux) Lovely big room and large walk in shower . Tastefully decorated. The host Pierre was amazing , friendly and helpful and made the best omelette! Excellent breakfast with fresh juice, fruit salad, yoghurts, bread and croissants .

Wi-Fi not so good in the bedroom but good in the communal space .

Pierre the proprietor was an excellent personable host who was informative and very helpful. The property has a well appointed communal Kitchen area where a typical French breakfast is provided every morning; fresh pastries, bread home made fruit salad freshly squeezed orange juice and great coffee.

Booking.com did not make it clear that the property was a privately run Guest House rather than a traditional hotel. that said we really enjoyed staying at the property. Although the room we stayed in is comfortable and well appointed it had the feel of a converted bedroom with bath room and separate toilet rather than traditional hotel room with ensuite. Decor was plain and the TV was on the small side with only French channels.

Pier was an excellent host. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and provided lots of useful info. The breakfast was absolutely great-lots of choice. Beds were really comfortable too.
