The hotel was in a great location, very close to multiple metro stops. We felt safe walking around in the area even at night. The Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room had a small balcony and a view( just the tip of the Eiffel Tower) but was totally worth it. The beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. There are many restaurants and shops close to this hotel. Just a block away from Notre Dame. We loved this hotel, and the area. The hotel had a mini fridge and a lift so you don't have to worry about climbing stairs after a long day of walking around the city. It made all the difference in our trip.

The room size was easily adequate, and the location is brilliant. The room was great; comfortable beds, plentiful hot water, a good shower with plenty of towels, additional blankets and pillows in a cupboard. The two concierges with whom I dealt were extremely friendly and generous with their help; one in particular was helpful in ensuring that a slightly patchy wifi problem was resolved. They were an utter pleasure to deal with.

The only quibble I can think of is that there is no kettle/teacups as standard in the room, but they were provided on request. The room was a tiny bit too warm overnight for my taste, but I think it would meet most travellers' preferences.

Lovely, well furnished small hotel in a great location. Very friendly and polite staff. All had a good quality about it and very clean. Drinks on fridge but no coffee/tea making facilities in the room. I solo traveled so single room which had a delightful roof top to enjoy. Fantastic location. Lots of places to eat. Close to metro and RER links. Line B direct to Charles DG airport. Would recommend.

I had to report an irritating buzzing noice which I think was probably the air con. Was a shame as it cause a lack of sleep. I should of contacted reception at the time

We stayed in the Triple Room. Absolutely worth a few bucks more. Roomy and QUIET as it is off-street. We have stayed here in years past (last time 16 yrs ago) and Henry IV has done a good job of keeping up this old building. I was very pleased. This is a really good option for location, price, and quality.

Do not eat at the place almost across the street with the maroon awnings. Yuck. Instead, go uphill a couple blocks to Bistro Du Perigord. Mmmm...

Staff was very friendly and accommodating, room was clean and comfortable, and it was in a fantastic location (I even had a view of Saint Séverin from my room, which was a nice surprise!)

Was on the second floor so there was some street noise and a bright light from a street lamp if I didn’t have the curtains completely closed, but not the fault of the hotel and didn’t really affect my stay at all.

This hotel is in a great location less than a minute or so from Notre Dame. The staff were lovely, especially Pamela. The room is typical for Paris in that it's small but it was fine for a few days. It was bigger than the last place I stayed. The room is a bit dated in the decor but the bathroom was lovely and there was plenty of hot water. There is a lift to higher floors and excellent double glazing. From my room I had a view of the church and the tip of the Eiffel tower. It's v easy to get from the airport CDG to this hotel by taking the RER from the airport to San Michel Notre Dame which is a 5 minute walk away. A ticket costs €11.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, with walking distance to Notre Dame, the Cluny,Pont Neuf etc. It is also close to the San Michel train station which connects to metro and RER lines. We had a direct route from this station to Versailles and Charles de Gaulle airport . The front desk is staffed 24/7 so they were able to easily accommodate our late check in. Also they stored our luggage for free after check out. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

The tub shower combo is a tall step in and out for an older person.

The hotel's location is excellent. Overall, it's a great value for money. The staff was very helpful. Our room initially faced the inner courtyard, but we requested a change to a room with a street view (the new room was very very small) and the staff was very accommodating with this change. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. The lady who assisted us during breakfast was incredibly hospitable. There were eggs, cheeses, juices and fresh croissants. Another major advantage is the elevator. Having an elevator, and a spacious one at that, is a great feature for Paris.

The previous room facing the courtyard was on the first floor and received very little light, and unfortunately, it had a damp smell. Although the room was quite large, we're glad we didn't stay there. If we hadn't been able to change rooms, it would have been a challenging experience. Overall, the hotel is clean, but the rooms could be a bit cleaner. The room we stayed in was very small, but we accepted that since we opted to change rooms.

Perfect location. Hotel is in the city center surrounded by many restaurants and cafes. A few steps away from Notre dame. The hotel provides the umbrella if it is raining outside. The reception and breakfast area were cozy and nicely decorated, just like the room. Front desk was kind and nice. Also, woman who worked at breakfast area were also really nice and helpful.

1. Dark room- No view through the window (outside the window you can see the wall and other windows to other rooms (room 204, for three people). 2. Poor breakfast. €15 per person for a cold breakfast. Only cornflakes, two types of meat (salami and ham), one type of cheese and cream cheese, cold boiled eggs, jam, butter, croissants, French bread, buns with chocolate and beverages. That's it. I don’t say it wasn’t tasty; actually it was. However, there were no hot/warm food options, no omelet or sausages, nothing. Of course, after such breakfast you won't leave hungry, but this is not the usual breakfast you'd find in other European countries for €15. When I asked for an omelet, I was informed it would cost an additional €4 per person.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, everyone from the breakfast lady, the front desk staff to the house keeping staff. House keeping was superb. The location of the hotel is unmatched. Our room was immaculate, and had an incredible view, including the Eiffel Tower. We also enjoyed a balcony with views of Notre Dame. The car that took us to the airport was on time and the driver was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. This is the third time we stay at Hotel Henri IV and definitely is our choice for next time we are in Paris.

The towels smelled bad. The quality of the coffee was poor.
