Family owned boutique hotel in the perfect location. Spacious comfortable quiet rooms, great showers, friendly service. Close to everything

The location is excellent, easy walking distance to l'Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre. Champs Elysee etc. It's a family run business and the staff were so welcoming and helpful, and happy to help in any way they can. I would highly recommend - very comfortable and clean (I didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on that). Excellent English spoken as well, which is great if your French dries up!

Only two things to be aware of, bathroom is small, but there's plenty of hot water; and the reception is on the first floor and the bedrooms on the floors above and there is no lift. But they offer to help with bags, and even carried up a cup of (free) tea for me too.

A hotel couldn't be in a better location in Paris, so it was great to find one reasonably priced. The family run establishment made it very warm & friendly for an older person travelling on her own. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. And I was thankful that they spoke English rather than having to suffer my poor schoolgirl French. The continental breakfast was excellent.

The spiral stairs were a bit of a challenge. My room was on the 3rd floor. The description of the room needs to be updated. It states the room is carpeted & there is a keysafe, neither of which were the case, but neither mattered to me. The bathroom was extremely narrow, but a small niggle for such a reasonably priced hotel. All the facilities worked very well.

Was in Paris during the year end festive period and it was challenging to find a decent hotel at a reasonable price in a central location. La Sanguine ticks all the boxes. Hotel is just steps away from the bustling streets of Rue Saint Honore, on a side street and is very safe. The Roissy bus to the CDG airport is also a convenient 15 mins walk away. The ladies who run the hotel are extremely helpful and speak excellent English. Hotel might look a bit tired but rooms are very clean and comfortable. Stayed in two different rooms - the single room has a tiny bathroom but the double room is much more generous in size. Had a very good stay overall.

Everyone complained about the stairs. Not a problem for me. The stairs are not steep and the staff usually help with the luggages. But it is something to take note if you are not comfortable with stairs.

Incredibly friendly and helpful ladies at the reception, the location is just near the Madeleine Church, the room was okay. Cleaning was provided every day. It was a pleasant stay.

It was a little bit noisy in the bathroom because of some system, a kind of ventilation or something like that. On the first night I didn't close the bathroom door and this noise woke me up at 5 a.m. The sound insulation is very weak — you can hear everything going on in the next room. For example, the people next door had a video call and I could hear everything they were talking about. I also didn't notice that the omelette was not included in the breakfast and had to be paid for separately. It costs 7 euros! At check-out, this came as a surprise.

The hotel is owned and managed by a multi generational family who really provide a wonderful service. They were very attentive, thoughtful and kind. Starting before our arrival, we were contacted to ask us a few questions. One of which pertained to food allergies. My 10 year old has a peanut and tree nut allergy. Breakfast was included in our stay and everything that was served was nut free and much appreciated. Upon arrival staff helped us with our bags - maybe they saw the fatigue in our eyes. There were balloons, nut free candy and a hand written note left in my children's room. Every time we returned after being out they always made a point to greet us and ask about our plans. They always asked if we needed anything. On the super hot days, the AC unit was running when we got back to our room which was much appreciated A family member made several friendship bracelets for my children. Super thoughtful and super special momento for my children. We thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay. The owners were so kind. The location is great - close to transit with several food options right next door. I would definitely return to this hotel. There were 4 of us and we had one room with 2 separate rooms and one bathroom. Plenty of space for us.

Really lovely and welcoming staff. They could not have been more helpful and polite, I was really impressed! The room was small but I had asked for a quiet one and they had already selected a room at the top and not on the street side. So rarely do hotel these days take notice of advance requests but they did! The location is incredible and I loved the characteristic feel of the place. It still feels like a family home.

I couldn’t get the Wi-Fi to work with the password. I should have taken the time to mention this to the lovely staff as it was probably me just not using the right password or something. I managed without. The walls are thin and corridors are narrow so be prepared to hear a fair bit of coming and going. But I’d rather have this than an impersonal large hotel!

Although the rooms are compact, with no spare space, that is normal for City Centre locations and was not a problem. The hotel is clean, well kept, with very friendly and helpful staff at all levels. The bed was great, breakfast was lovely. The location so near to Place de la Concorde was amazing and the price was very reasonable indeed. The surrounding streets have plenty of traditional classic French brasseries. I will be back here next time I come to Paris, for sure!

A lift would have been nice ! Sadly not possible in the building. The staff did offer to help carry my luggage which I did not need but would have appreciated if I had.

Room was small but cozy, big window to the street. Very nice center location, walking distance to many sightseeing. All the staff were super kind.

I stayed in a room just behind the reception desk. So there was lot of noise early in the morning. Because the breakfast hall was infront of my door.(The staff apologized for this part when I checked out.) Air conditioner was old, and noisy(but works well). I cannot complain about the price, since it was during Paris Olympic 2024.

From the moment you walk in, the ladies who work at the hotel bestow true hospitality. They immediately offered me a coffee or tea as I checked into the hotel. They helped me carry my luggage up the stairs, and were fortunately able to check me into my room early the morning I arrived (from NY). The room was perfect, clean and had everything I needed including a little desk to do a little work. Location is absolutely perfect, centrally located, tons of little shops nearby and near the Madeline metro stop. I was able to walk or commute to any of the other neighborhoods I wanted to explore.

There's nothing I can write negatively or constructively about my stay.
