I love the modern style and space of Le Grand Quartier. The court yard looks beautiful with all the plants and greenery, a wonderful place to sit outside, feels like a little oasis. Inside you have the choice of the comfy relaxing space of the coffee shop/cafe or the formal restaurant. There's even a snack shop in the reception area. The roof terrace is a lovely touch for relaxing and they even have yoga and pilates classes. Staff are very welcoming, professional, multi lingual. Our room was spacious, very clean, and having the facility of coffee and tea maker in a parisien hotel was a treat. Extra touches of soft comfy slippers and toiletries was very welcome. Metro and bus stops near by.

This is in a lively and cosmopolitan part of Paris, which feels very authentic to me and I enjoyed but not your cup of tea if you are looking to stay in an upscale area.

Location excellent

We were on 5th floor but the lift to this floor was out of service and looked as if it had been for some time so we had to walk up a flight of stairs.

Very convenient location, very easy access to many metro and bus stations that can get you in all directions of Paris. Comfortable bed. Very quiet (no road noise, off the streets of Paris) besides the courtyard which is noisy until 11PM due to a restaurant and nice seating area. As a couple we enjoyed this part, but for families or if you plan to get an early night, this could be annoying. With a bit of a search, great locations for breakfast, lunch and dinner nearby (for example between the rue Chateau d’Eau, Place Jacques Bonsergent or the Canal Saint-Martin). Friendly service.

Forget about the breakfast at the hotel, there are so many better options around the hotel (better quality and cheaper). Plus you can explore more variety. Plenty of towels, but could need a better softener or higher degree wash.

The room was super comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and had many different options. The staff was super friendly and the location of the hotel was perfect, very central. I would definitely recommend it and if possible would also return to it. Also, they had a great tea selection in the room for you to drink in the morning or at night.

The air conditioning was set to one temperature and you could either let it on or turn it off. But the on version made the room too hot - but it is only a "dislike" point for me because I prefer my room cooler, even during the winter (was there in October) There was only a mirror in the bathroom. (but these are all minor things)

The location was perfect as we had travelled by train into Gare de Nord and the hotel was a 10 minute walk. The Metro was 5 minutes away from the hotel, and La Louvre and River Seine 20 mins walk away. The hotel is very quirky but stylish with high quality furnishings. Our room was very good with a super king-size bed, safe, coffee machine, a great shower, and the windows opened for fresh air. Breakfast was fabulous and the staff were lovely. This is a very friendly, well run hotel, and we definitely use it again.

Just one very small thing was that we needed to keep one room card in the socket to ensure the fridge stayed on

- The location is very good, on a quiet street, near the police station, so it is also safe, also really close to the canal and nice restaurants; - the room is cozy and clean, although a bit small, but this is standard for Paris; - you have a lot of place in the studio if you want to work; - very good soundproofing, even though you still hear noise from neighboring rooms from time to time.

- breakfast was really poor (one type of cheese, one type of ham, some scrambled eggs that were tasting awful and pastries that would finish very quick, so you pay 17 euros per person for almost nothing. Instead of paying for breakfast, I suggest checking nearby restaurants (1-2 mins of walking) because they all offer breakfast and brunches; - the older lady in the restaurant was constantly irritated; - weird smell in the corridors.

The hotel is cosy, staff is always friendly, wonderful breakfast with local cheeses and other products from the local market. The location is central and it is easy to get to most tourist destinations.

The neighborhood is not very nice - at night, we felt afraid to return to the hotel several times. The water pressure at the shower was insufficient.

Off the road. Nice bathrooms and comfortable beds. Staff mainly friendly (except Barman who refused to make tea, unlike his colleague)

Noise in courtyard at night. Smell in corridor in 2nd floor. 206 bath shower didn’t work well. No food in communal areas when restaurant was closed on Sunday is disappointing. 1 lift out of action all stay and roof terrace disappointing

A good location, specious and clean room and comfortable bed. Coffee machine in the room. Delicious breakfast with plenty of healthy choices. Close to the metro.

The only issue is that a couple of streets away there is not a very tourist-friendly area- in particular Strasburg Boulevard metro. We didn't feel safe as is littered with groups of young African males hanging around on the street and being very loud. There was very little police presence.

We received a high level of services during our stay ( a clean and quiet room, qualified and very helpful employees, very good brakfast). 2 Location is a very nice trendy and safe neighborhood with loads of bars and restaurants (ask the recetionists,they are very helpful) 3. Good connection with (almost) all areas of the huge city, with metro or bus.
