I don't say this lightly, but our stay really did exceed our expectations. We booked quite last-minute and it was outside of the holidays, so it wasn't very busy. There are some downsides but honestly, they are vastly outweighed by the upsides - and I don't say this lightly. If we visit Samoëns again, we WILL stay here again. Some of the things we liked: - The staff. Extremely helpful, the younger lady speaks excellent English, very accommodating, really nothing to remark except: the friendliest staff imaginable. - The location. Nice view on the mountains from our window/terrace, and literally a 7-10 minute walk to the Grand Massif Express, one of the main lifts into the ski area. Easy to reach by car since the village is relatively close to the highway and not too high in altitude. Nice small village with multiple excellent restaurants. - The apartment. Our room was quite small, but perfect for two. The tiny kitchen had a surprising amount of utensils, not for cooking a multiple-course menu, but great for making soup, tea, eggs, ... and other simple dishes. Good heating in the bathroom, after a wet day we put the drying rack in the bath and were able to dry all our clothes (and boots) for the following day. Reasonably comfortable bed. Quite big terrace, unfortunately it was too cold (or wet) to enjoy it often. - The spa. I mean, what else can I say? The place has a FREE SPA. Every other day you can reserve a spot for 30 minutes (in the morning, so don't forget to book) and the other days the spa is freely accessible. Sometimes it fills up quickly, but one day we were able to use the spa with the two of us for an hour. It's actually quite modern, with showers, a big jacuzzi, a sauna, and a hammam. The sauna and hammam are never open at the same time, but one of the two always is. We enjoyed this SO MUCH. Nothing better than a hot jacuzzi and hammam/sauna after a long day of snowboarding to relax your muscles.
If I have to be picky, there are some minor downsides. - The walls are quite thin, so if you have loud neighbours, you can hear them. It didn't cost us any sleep though, and I'm a light sleeper. - Because the room is so small, it got a little dirty after a couple of days. HOWEVER, we just asked the staff about it and the next day they cleaned it - for free, while we were out on the slopes. - There's a ski room but it wasn't great for drying our boots, still great for storing snowboards though. - I actually feel like writing more positive points, but I already used up all the space for that text box. Again, the downsides are greatly overshadowed by the benefits!

Loved our stay here! Excellent location and fantastic views. The people there were really lovely and helpful. Nice touch being able to help ourselves to more dishwasher tablets etc, small things can make a big difference. Gorgeous views from the pool and always loads of free loungers. Favourite thing was watching the sunset every night, just stunning! Also loved the cake shop 5 mins walk away and having fresh bread and croissants every day. Would love to stay there again.
Not having a support for the shower so having to hold the head, but that was so minor I wouldn’t mark it down

The staff were super friendly. We liked that there was a boot/ski room, as well as a self-service stock of essentials like loo roll, bin bags and so on + the ability to borrow extra kitchen equipment for fancier cooking (the kitchen was well stocked). The location was very convenient, with the ski lift and village both within easy reach on foot.
In our flat, there was quite a steep staircase which ran over the kitchenette. That made things a little less comfortable. But otherwise all great.

Excellent location, 5-6 min on foot to the Grand Massif Expresse Ski Lift and the same distance from the center of the town. Very friendly and helpful owners. The wellness area was a nice addition. Great view from the balconies. 3 spacious bedrooms.
The apartment needs a renovation. This was however reflected in the price so we kind of knew what we can expect.

Stunning location, very green but close to the centre and a lovely bakery. Spa facilities modern and lovely to come back to after a day of hiking. Apartment in the annex was simple but clean and had what we needed.
It would be good to have holder for the shower as you have to hold it yourself currently. Pillows weren’t what we’re used to. But these are small quibbles and overall it was good value.

Great location. Lovely building with a bar and spa. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend
Very slopey ceilings in the bedroom and we hit our heads a few times. But ok if you can remember to duck!

Very good facilities, all that you need. Cosy atmosphere, nice touches everywhere. Jacuzzi and Sauna were a good addition after a day of skiing. Location is close to the village and walking distance to the ski lift.

We really liked the lounge, and as we were two families of four across four rooms, we used it a lot. Pauline arranged a raclette for us for New Year's Eve and set up in the lounge for us and we had a wonderful cosy evening before heading off into the village for midnight! It really did feel like we were guests in a friends home. Nothing seemed too much for them.
Nothing! Would definitely recommend.

Amazingly friendly staff! The spa area was really good and due to covid, they had a booking policy in place whereby each room books a time slot to use the spa and is closed to other guests. We could also rent a raclette or fondue kit to use in our room along with locally produced cheese which was super good value. The place is also located between the ski lift and town making it a really strategic spot!
The walls were pretty thin so we could hear conversations from the other room. When the next door room turned on their bathroom light and kept it on all night, we could hear the ventilation fan going all night!

Location close to town centre. Nipped to bakery each morning for breakfast. Hosts at La Cour couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable. Nice bar for apres ski.
Ideally we would have liked a slightly bigger room and a bigger bed.
