The location in the heart of Troyes was perfect. Close to everything needed as a traveller. The lounge was quiet and enjoyable for sitting to read or have a drink, having windows to the cobblestone laneway. Staff were very friendly and responsive.

The accommodation was simply decorated which was fine even though a little dated/tired but the positive features made up for this. I know bacon and eggs is not traditionally French, but the only thing I suggested to them was to cook eggs for guests individually so they were not sitting in the heating dish.

Location and breakfast were amazing, we had a really great stay enjoying the views of quirky rooftops, wandering the dark streets and sleeping in very comfortable bed. To awake to such a comprehensive and varied breakfast was the icing on the cake. Secure parking a reassuring addition. Recommended

The intermittent wi fi provision was poor, although we didn’t pursue this with the staff. It might have been fixable! Slightly tired fixtures, carpet a bit past it’s sell by date. The longer we stayed the more we enjoyed the experience though.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights last year during the annual Music Festival. The location is absolutely fantastic and it is a beautiful hotel. Fabulous!

Our room had recently been refurbished but the Air Conditioning hadn't been finished so wasn't working. My husband and I could not sleep because the room was so hot. It was the evening of the Music Festival so we couldn't open the window because of the noise outside (we did try). We didn't complain because we don't like to especially when we know how amazing the hotel is from our stay last year.

Perfect location for a short break. Breakfast good value with good range of continental options. Friendly and helpful staff. The negatives below also added charm and quirkiness, it was interesting to see how the whole hotel with modern fittings and facilities was incorporated inside a very old building.

It wasn't a problem for us, but our bedroom unexpectedly had several steep steps just inside the doors that we had to navigate with our suitcases. There was also a low beam over our bed.

AMAZING location - right in the middle of Troyes - you could not want to be more in the middle of the restaurants, bars and culture in this beautiful city. The parking is right under the hotel (secure and 12 euros a day)The hotel is quaint and old, and seems to be having new carpets! The breakfast was good (though the eggs ran out!) and generally the staff were very nice (particularly house keeping)

The room (we booked a standard) was very small.. and looking on the floor plan most rooms on the floor we were on (3) seemed small. There were roof trusses and beams (very atmospheric but needed ducking under) and the bathroom was small but used every inch of available space. The bed was a small double (we are both large!) and that was a problem. We definitely want to go back and stay again.... but will pay to have a bigger bed!!

The location was excellent and the added bonus of parking for 12€ per with direct access to the hotel. Staying at this hotel you certainly don’t need your car to explore the city. There are excellent restaurants, shops and the buildings are all very historical.

Our room was large but a bit dated and could do with an updated bathroom and we found cobwebs! The beds were very comfortable and everything else was clean and the bedding changed daily. There was air conditioning which we needed. The room was very quiet as our room looked out on to other buildings at the back, even though the hotel is located in the hear of the city.

Great value for money at 130 euros per night right in the centre of Troyes and literally 2 minutes walk into the main plaza area. Rooms were a little tired perhaps but I'm nit picking when you factor in the value for money. Incredibly comfy beds worth a mention. Very friendly and helpful staff and onsite secure parking. Breakfast was very good also. Would stay again.

When you factor in value for money no complaints at all.

The location is superb: right in the middle of this ancient city. The welcome from the reception was also superb: a good and pleasant English speaking young man who told us about what was available for our stay. The breakfast although expensive at 17 euros was wonderful and worth the expense as we dispensed with lunch after it: glorious array of cooked meats, lovely cheeses and even a cooked breakfast if the English demanded it: scrambled egg, sausage and bacon.

It was not really the hotel's fault but the parking arrangements were in the parking for the Hotel de Ville. The signage to get there and the one way streets were a nightmare and we went around several times before Google maps got us there. Once there it was great as there was an area designated only for the hotel guests.

We really appreciated the good service of your receptionist. She was very helpful. Good breakfast too.

The difficulty in finding the hotel especially with the road works outside. A plug in the bedroom wasn’t fixed in properly so when we pulled our plug out of the socket it came out of the wall. Lot of dust in bottom of the wardrobe & the walls were dusty too.

Very close to the old streets of Troyes. The room was a good size with a modern rainfall shower. Large flat screen TV. We were in a comfort room which had no view to speak of. Despite the busy central location the room was very quiet. The car park on-site was secure.

We looked straight out onto another old building but you get what you pay for. The shower didn’t drain properly but the staff quickly sorted this. Breakfast was expensive so we chose to eat out
