We received a warm welcome from reception staff upon arrival and were surprised at how spacious and gorgeous our suite was. They kindly upgraded our room because we missed our first night in Berlin due to travel problems with Lufthansa cancelling our flight from Frankfurt. The bed was very comfortable with a firm mattress. The kitchen was perfect, equipped with just what we needed to make our own breakfast. They loaned us umbrellas as needed, printed out museum passes for us, and provided recommendations for restaurants. Maximillian's, the authentic German restaurant just next door was very good!

The breakfast at the Mandala suites was beautifully presented but the only warm food offered was hard boiled eggs, everything else was cold.

All was excellent and better than expected with the exception of no espresso machine which was odd. Most places have this facility nowadays, especially a hotel of this caliber. It was quiet, spotless clean.

No Nespresso / espresso machine. Instant coffee?? Who the heck drinks that anymore.... Hard beds and bad pillows

This is more like having a huge apartment that has daily housekeeping than a full service hotel. It was quiet and laid back. NO busy lobby, or bar, or hectic reception. We really liked the size and comfort of the apartment. It had a full kitchen, work desk, plenty of closet space. The breakfast and breakfast staff were both very good. The only issue was it’s easy to confuse Mandala Suites on Freidrichstraße with Mandala Hotel on Potsdammer Platz. They are not the same. This property you enter what looks like a large commercial building that opens into a large atrium. Off the atrium there is a very popular traditional German style restaurant, Maximilian’s. Mandala Suites reception is in the rear of the atrium. We were very happy with this place as it matched up with our style of independent travel. If you need 24 hr room service and fancy lobby bar, this is not your place.

We couldn’t fault the whole experience. The mandala suites are amazing. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, very clean and great value for money. It’s like staying in a very expensive hotel suite but with the added bonus of having a kitchen instead of paying more to have things brought to you or eat in the restaurant. It’s in a perfect place in Berlin within walking distance to most of the main places to visit. The breakfast room on floor 8 is an extremely well furnished area providing great views of Berlin over the rooftops. There is a wide selection of breakfast food which is all served by a polite, professional and attentive staff. We were served by many different staff during our stay and the experience was the same with all of them. Many thanks to the whole team including the staff at reception who were super helpful whenever we needed help with anything.

Can’t think of anything apart from that we only stayed three days, so wish we’d stayed longer!

It was a good sized space for a couple. The bathroom layout was excellent with a wonderful shower, good space and nice fixtures. We enjoyed the veranda overlooking the courtyard. The breakfast option was delicious though the space was limited. The large entry atrium in the building is very light and open. Small children can run about safely. Maximilian's restaurant offering German food is easily accessible from the atrium.

We arrived after hours and had difficulty figuring out how to get our room key. The security office is at the entrance, but it was easy to walk by and not even notice it. The young man there was very helpful. I found the bed to be a bit too firm...personal preference. The lighting in the main room is quite dim. Take a book reading light with you.

It was one of the best places we ever had. A wonderful suit with everything one needs, including a separate living room, a kitchen, the greatest water pressure one could imagine after a long day of walking around, other surprising extra rooms and a nice Bavarian restaurant and a great coffee place just below. A short walking distance from the subway and above all, very friendly stuff. So nice actually that they upgraded us at late evening, when we came back and discovered the air-condition was broken. When we asked to stay for another day, they kept the upgraded room at the same original price! Oh, and the sunsets from the small balcony were absolutely gorgeous.

The staff, the location, the breakfast, the facilities were all fantastic. It was easy to walk to several of the museums and historical sites we wanted to see. Plenty of restaurants and shopping is nearby. Entrances to the S-Bahn were also close. We would definitely stay here again.

Our only tiny quibble was with the short hours that the laundry room is open. The dryer takes quite a long time, so our clothes weren't quite dry when we had to remove them as the door was going to be locked.

Outstandingly friendly helpful and welcoming check in staff. Really well sited for easy access to transport and tourist attractions. We had a beautiful suite, a free upgrade from our booking meant also a balcony. The room looked onto a pretty courtyard so very peaceful despite city centre location. Well equipped kitchenette. Very comfortable bed We didn’t try the 8th floor breakfast service as plenty of cafes very close by but it looks to have great views. Perfect for our first visit to Berlin.

Overall we had an OK stay, room was spacious and clean, also close (walking distance) to most places we planned on visiting.

Odd type of 'hotel' located in an office building?! Antique type of design however some furniture pieces were broken or falling apart. Heat was off at check-in and did not turn on properly, Our room was ICE COLD! Hotel staff joked welcome to German winter. I'm from Chicago, I know what winter is lol but I guess heat is not part of German winter?? They ended up providing us with a space heater which was very helpful. They charged us additional city taxes at checkout even though it was included and prepaid in my reservation.

Very welcoming, friendly, helpful staff to meet us and make sure we remained comfortable. The room cleaning staff were especially attentive. Wonderful very spacious suite with very comfortable, small but perfect balcony, well equipped kitchenette, great shower over the bath in a large bathroom with lovely complimentary toiletries. Great lounge area.

Breakfast 25 Euro pp seemend expensive for what it was, even with great views. However, we were spoilt for choice with local bakeries / supermarkerts so we were very happy to make our own breakfast, the coffee machine supplied did us good!
