very clean and the staff at the reception was very friendly

Around 8 am in the morning, there was a female staff opened our door twice saying she wanna clean our room. The check-out time is 12 pm. We were very confused and a bit shocked because a stranger opened our door... What's the point cleaning the room before we left???

Modern and relatively new hotel. Clean room with a comfy bed and the shower is really nice. Bathroom had a beautiful mirror and enough shelf space for 2 females. Location is quiet even though the train station Berliner Tor is only a 10 minutes walk. From there you can basically go everywhere quite fast. Did a lot of shopping, museums, a musical and visites both botanical gardens. Travel time was usually under 30 minutes. Plus, as a female travelling with my daughter I have always felt save in the area. Coffee to go options as part of the breakfast, which is great when u need caffeine but aren't quite ready for food yet or the rest of the family is still fast asleep.

- self check-in - coupon's for breakfast weren't printed initially which led to some irritation, but since I already paid for breakfast, I got new ones - very little space for clothes and suitcases

Great location, clean hotel and very very kind staff. We can easily commute to the touristic areas and city centre. It's really a value for money and honestly the hotel looks newly renovated and it's super comfort for us. We had a problem with the cleanliness room but the staff took it very very seriously and sent the cleaner three times that day and eventually gave us a better room after we asked them. Thank you for the ladies at the front and technical personal who helped us out!!

Very clean room, comfortable beds. Excellent soundproofing. It is welcome with pets (free of charge!). The breakfast was varied, there was even Kaiserschmarrn. Hidden Options: 1. You can always get free coffee at the reception. Tea 2.5 euros 2. To connect to Wi-fi in the hotel, you need to turn on the TV and there will be a password on the screen.

The hotel is 1 metro stop away from the train station. It is a bit difficult to walk to the hotel because of the renovation works around it. But the hotel is very quiet. The breakfast was varied, but I didn't like the hot dishes. Omelette, sausages, coffee everything was not very tasty. But, it is a matter of taste of course.

Decent location - 8-10 min walk to Berliner Tor S-Bahn and U-Bahn stop. Room was a good size for two people with two single beds pushed together, perfect for us. Staff were all very friendly and helpful at reception. Easy self check-in on the computer but staff also were there and happy to assist. Beds were comfy, shower had great water pressure. Always glad to see hotel rooms with full length mirrors for getting ready. Everything was clean.

Location is good just a lot of construction and roadworks near Berliner Tor at the moment which makes life a little harder but obvs not the fault of the hotel. Would be good if the cafe was open after breakfast (like 10-12 in the morning) so if you miss breakfast you can still get a coffee and a snack. It only opens at 12 right now as I understood from the signs. I wish hotels generally would put a shelf in showers so you can reach your shampoo and razor etc. easily. Would also be great if the TVs could connect to netflix, spotify and disney plus - the signal was a bit dodgy and wouldnt connect well for us. We didnt want to watch German tv but thats a minor gripe of English native speakers!

Conveniently located about 10 minutes walk from Berliner Tor metro / underground hub giving you easy access to most of Hamburg and only 20 mins from the airport. Budget type hotel but it had everything you need. The staff in particular were very helpful and accommodating. We didn’t take up the breakfast option but it looked good and the room was always busy. Room was refreshed every day.

I would have liked some USB ports in the room. No English channels on the TV but we weren’t going to Hamburg to watch telly! Notes / coffee making in the room but you could help yourself to coffee in the lobby. Major roadworks in the area but it didn’t impact on our stay at all. These are all minor issues which didn’t detract from our stay at all.

The breakfast was adequate with lots of choices, depending on your taste. Kudos to the front desk staff who were professional and quite helpful. They also allowed us to check in way before check-in time. We were very tired so really appreciated that. The location was also quite nice, just a bit too commercial. Enjoyed my walk across the bridge nearby....

Too many smokers in front of the property. The fact that the fire alarm went off during the night whilst resting, and we had to scrambled down 7 flights of stairs. Lots of construction going on around the area, forcing you to walk in the road, with cars passing by closely and quickly

The hotel is situated 5-10 minutes from S-Bahn and U-Bahn, very convenient Friendly staff, clean rooms, tasty breakfast. The rooms have a desk and a chair, which is very convenient for business trips. The hotel has self-service check-in desks with card payment possibility. Each room has own wifi.

January 2024: there are several construction work spots on the way from the hotel to the public transportation,, which make commute a little bit less pleasant. Note for ecology-concerned guests: if you really want your towels not changed each day, hang 'do not disturb' on the door to opt out from cleaning sometimes. Just leaving the towels hang and not dropping them on the floor does not prevent daily laundry exchange, even though the sticker near the sink says "hang the towels and they will not be exchanged"

The beds are extremely comfortable. The hotel is fairly close to the S- and U-bahn station Berliner Tor. We could leave our luggage at reception on the morning of our departure. Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to fit a glass bathroom wall needs to be sacked! It's impossible for one's partner to visit the toilet during the night without waking the other up with the light. The floor always seemed to be covered in tiny pieces of grit which was unpleasant. Some of the staff are not very helpful.

It is very good for the price I paid. The staff was very helpful because I was there a little earlier than the checkin time and they offered to keep my bags safe so I can spend my timeout in the city. The breakfast has good selection and variation of food so , I recommend for anyone stays in the hotel (it opens until almost noon so no need to rush early in the morning). There is a bar available util late in the evening and you can buy food or drinks from there if you need.

It is little away from the centre of the city so if you are not a fan of walking then need to find an alternative way to get there. Still it is not that far away and you might enjoy it in the summer for sure. Many of the places I planned to visit were on the other side of the city so I racked up so many steps throughout the time I was there :)
