rooms are extremely big, with a very good shower and heating too. most of the staff could also communicate either in english or italian. the restaurant is a big plus when you don't feel like going far for dinner after a day exploring the city and the vicinities. the hotel is very central.

some channels in english would have been appreciated, just to keep it running as a background when in the room

Very convenient central location.

As there was no air conditioning and as it was a very hot night we had to leave our bedroom windows open. Our stay coincided with a Turkish success in the Euros so there were celebrating fans in the small square below our room until 3am. The building site opposite got noisy about 6.30am and the cathedral bells (which are a joy) started seriously at 7am. Fortunately my wife and I can sleep through pretty well anything so we were not adversely affected but the flip side of a central location needs to be borne in mind by anyone who needs a quiet night.

Very central location 100m from the cathedral. Currently (Sept 2024} there is major building work on 2 sides of the hotel and work starts at 6.30. This did not bother us too much as there is major construction work all over the city center. Staff were very friendly and efficient

Access to wi-fi was poor. No English language TV channels. I thought having a 2m high advert for Fruh beer in the room was cheap and in poor taste. There were no tea or coffee making faculties in the room. There was a machine in the lobby but if you are on the 5th floor and you want a cup of coffee before you get dressed. . . . Otherwise we were satisfied and would recommend it.

We arrived at the main Cologne railway station, so the hotel is only 5 minutes walk away. The breakfast had a good buffet breakfast, all very fresh and with something to suit all tastes. The room was bright and airy with tilt and turn windows which could be left open at night for ventilation. There were electric shutters and curtains at the windows to block out the early morning light.

The room does not have facilities for making a hot drink, nor does it have a mini fridge to store cold drinks. These items would be more useful that the tablet which is in each room. Most people use their own devices to connect to the internet.

Everything was excellent. Location was only few meters away from the Cathedral, so in the heart of the city. Breakfast had plenty of choices, also breakfast room was very nice. Very good sound isolation. We did not hear any voices from outside of the hotel or from the inside (other rooms). Room was confortable and had every detail needed in a hotel room. Also proper size with good heating which is adjustable. And very pleasant and helpfull staff in all areas -reception, breakfast room.

First of all, the location is great, right across the Dom cathedral. I did not use any public transportation during my 2-night stay because it is 5 minutes walk from the train station and close to the touristic places. My room was clean and nice. There was no kettle in the room, so when I asked the reception for hot water, they brought a kettle to my room. Also the breakfast was very good.

There could have been a kettle, tea and coffee in the room. Although the waiters served every customer and brought coffee during breakfast, they looked away from me at breakfast on both days and did not bring service. I wondered if I was discriminated against and felt a little sad.

The location is very good. It takes ten minutes from the main train station by walking with luggage, passing by the Dom. It's not far away to walk to the riverside and the Chocolate Museum too. Around the hotel there are many shops and restaurants. The hotel has an elevator. It's easy for carrying heavy luggage. The room is nice and quiet. Breakfast is good. The restaurant in front of the hotel seems popular, and we have lunch there. When we drove the car to take luggage, it is convenient to park the car for 5-10 minutes on the narrow route of the hotel.

The hotel is ideally located, 5 mins walk from the station and 2mins from the cathedral. It is clean and modern with good lifts to the higher floors where there are great views. It is within a few minutes' walk of 2 of the delightful Christmas markets. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the beds comfortable. Very good varied breakfast. You won't need to eat til the evening!!!

No kettle. I would give the hotel 9or 10 if there were a kettle in the room. When you have spent hours sightseeing and pavement pounding it is nice to go back and rest for an hour or two with a cup of tea before going out again for the evening. Very disappointed. We stayed for 5 nights and every morning when we woke, sometimes in the afternoon and every night until about 1am there was scraping of furniture, banging of doors and dropping of items from the floor above. This was not just an isolated event. We had no idea what was going on but when I went to investigate there were no sounds from the room above and nobody answered when I knocked. Strange.

Really good location with a really good restaurant next door. The cathedral and the shopping district were both really close by. Lots of space in the hotel room.

The room didn't have air conditioning so it became quite warm during day meaning that we needed to leave the windows open during the night to help the room cool down. The busy nightlife meant that things took a while to quieten down. Then the church bells began ringing early each morning and went on for a prolonged period so sleep was hard to come by unfortunately.

Is the second time in this hotel and is we love it. The staff is superrrr amazing. They help you always with every problem, they give you a solution. The room have good size, clean and have all the amenities. The location is amazing, is in front the dom, then you have a espectacular view when you go out. Have around everything you need.

Only dont have air-conditioning. The time when we go was july, have good weather but i think if its more warm could be uncomfortable.
