Central location perfect for visiting city and only short walk from station. Rooms spotless & clean, able to leave luggage when checking out.

Took me a while to locate the check-in machine (assumed arrow pointing to restaurant, no-one came). It's actually wall mounted in foyer, easy to find and use! But that was only flaw

An excellent location, especially for when the Cologne Christmas markets are on as it is right on one of the main squares where one happens. The rooms are clean, good bathroom facilities and comfortable beds. Breakfasts are good, and the restaurant is very good (although it us busy with outside customers so may take a while to get a seat).

Reception closes early and out of hours check in took a while to find someone. The rooms have no comfortable chairs (just one stool by the small desk) and neither is there a lounge with comfortable chairs. There are no facilities to make hot drinks in the room. The bedding is typical German style individual duvets but they are very narrow and tend to come off in the night.

Large room in charming old building decorated to look like an old Italian palace. Large but modern wet room well supplied with shower gel, mending kit etc. Tea and coffee facility in the room (not always provided in European hotels). Good breakfast at more reasonable price than some others. Comfortable bed with choice of pillows. Central location for old Cologne, 10-15 minutes walk from train station. Helpful staff

Couldn't make the self check in machine work (but staff member turned up and checked us in so problem solved)

Right in the heart of the Christmas action. The room was clean but very sparse. No safe and we had to request a kettle and extra pillow. This should be standard for any hotel. Despite this the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The shower in our room was superb.

On arrival it’s clear that you are expected to book in via a kiosk which is not ideal if you’re tired. (We were after a long journey!) However, a staffed reception is located on the first floor! No signage to explain this which is unfortunate.

The location at the head of the Heumarkt was perfect. Easy to get to the Rhine, the shopping area and dozens of great places to eat. And right in front one of the Christmas Markts was especially great.

Breakfast was a disappointment. The selection of food was not great, and at least once the eggs were so salty as to be unedible. The other issue was the coffee machine. It was wonderful; made all kinds of coffee and milk drinks. The problem was there was only one machine and each coffee took several minutes to make. Would be fine, except if you have several people in front of you, each making a couple of coffee drinks. Took way too long.

Everything was well, location is great right near the Christmas market. We stayed with our little son and were very satisfied with everything. Parking is right in front of the hotel. Personal was friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend this place for a short family stay.

Extra bed was not perfect, kept folding up. But the matrass was fine.

I enjoyed the breakfast served every morning. But the location was the real selling point, and it did not disappoint. I arrived right at the start of the Christmas Market season and was able to enjoy all the festivities. The location is also an easy walk, with luggage, from the train station.

I had a lot of difficulty finding the entrance to the hotel and would have appreciated clearer directions. The building number is under an awning which was packed with people eating outside the restaurant, and made it very difficult to see the correct door to enter.

exceptionel staff, especially Alex went over and beyond to help. One couldnt ask for better. The breakfast was good midweek but poor at the weekends as not catering for all guests. One coffee machine is good, but maybe two on the weekends would avoid frustration. The refills were very slow on Sunday and hence not a good deal for what you could physically get.

The nightlife outside was extremely noisy and no-one took charge or attempted to quiten it down, albeit I was a religious holiday and music not allowed after midnight. Still very noisy until 4 am

The location was excellent, featuring a charming old building that houses the hotel. There is also a perfect restaurant on the ground floor.

I believe the heating system is damaged. I turned on the heating for a few minutes to dry the kids' clothes after the rain, and when I turned it off, it continued to heat for five hours. It became extremely hot inside, as the heating was at maximum despite being turned off. Additionally, the extra bed for the kids was broken.

Restaurant beloning with the Hotel was great, Quality food and even better service. Rooms as promised. Clean and complete. Perfect location during Xmas market. All staff (except one) friendly to us and our toddler.

The receptionist during our arrival…. Very unpleasant “welcome”, she doesn’t belong in hospitality. Simply curt even rude. Cot, which we ordered for our kid. Was not in the room upon arrival. Yes, this can be important if it’s time for a baby/toddlers nap when you arrive! Was placed after asking, and was proper quality!
