I don't understand the bitching of some people about this place. It is perfect and incredibly good value. We were in the triple room and everything was great. The staff was really welcoming and made sure we always had everything in order like toilet paper, clean towels, etc. The shower was amazing, too. The S-Bahn is right around the corner and you can easily walk to the altstadt. Maybe the people who left a bad review were expecting Buckingham Palace, but for us, this place was excellent. Would stay again a million times.

perfect location, clean and the beds were so comfy! we were just stopping for a night as we were driving from england to berlin! exceeded our expectations for a €70 hotel! the owner was so lovely, told us everything we needed to know, showed us how the keys worked, very secure from the outside world! so close to the main area of town which was a lovely touch as we got there late! thank you so much, if we ever visit cologne again we will be sure to visit!

the shower leaked when showering, just needs a fix that’s all - wouldn’t say it made me ‘not like’ the property

- the location is very good, it’s in Hansaring which is one stop from Central Station (only need when coming from the airport). You can actually see the stop when standing on the platform it’s so close, one minute by train and about 7 minute walk - from Hansaring station it’s only 50m away so easy to find - the area is very Turkish (which we loved) so lots of great places to eat. Also loads of supermarkets so you can buy food and drink much cheaper than the city - the rooms are pretty basic but some can sleep up to 4 people and they have a kettle which is always good - the staff are very helpful

- just needs a little TLC to bring it up to standards of a 3 star hotel (which it could be). Won’t be everyone’s ideal place to stay but for two nights we found it more than adequate - the internet was a little hit and miss

The hotel's location and its cost are the two biggest advantages in my opinion. It's a 15-minute walk to the cathedral, there's a waterfront nearby, and two supermarkets are close by. I'd also like to mention the staff: we arrived quite late, around 23:00, but they welcomed us and checked us in. The room had everything we needed - a kettle, a hairdryer, a small refrigerator. They even provided paper cups! For us, as budget travelers, this hotel was an ideal choice, and I must say we were satisfied.

Location is great.

The owner opened windows to give guests fresh air, which is very good. Probably one hour fresh air is enough in my opinion, then I would like to close the window to save energy and reduce the bills for the owner. I came in the evening and found the room was not warm. After a few hours, I found the windows were open behind curtains.

Location was good, 10 minutes to the centre, and close to an S-Bahn station. Looking at other comments I expected the worse regarding cleanliness, but it wasn't bad at all. We didn't talk to the stuff much, but got new towels after the first day. That was a nice touch. Definitely good value for money.

If your a student looking to explore the city with your friends and have some cheap accommodation then this place is perfect. It was clean, everything worked, even got a nice parking spot for 8 euros a night. doesn’t deserve a 6/10 in my opinion.

If your coming with a partner then I recommend not coming here. doesn’t really have the romantic energy. also if you come here expecting a conventional hotel then you will probably be disappointed. it’s more like an Airbnb.

we got a bigger room, lot of space. Person at the reception available and very kind and informative. Big, comfy beds. Not expected but fridge, kettle, dryer in the room. clean and pleasant. Everything was working. I liked everything and will gladly come back.

Great location, 10 minute walk from the train station and to all major attractions. The gentleman at reception was extremely kind and helpful, explaining everything and provided us with a map of Cologne. Room was as described and very spacious, beds were extremely comfortable and I had the best night sleep. A fan and dehumidifier were provided (and already switched on). Shower was a good pressure and didn’t lose any hot water which is a plus. Overall a lovely stay and would definitely return!
