The breakfast was more than I could ever have expected—breads, fruits, jams, eggs, deli meats, espresso machine, teas, juices, cereal, and more!!! A classic German breakfast maybe, but I felt so spoiled as an American used to the bare minimum. And a steal for only €16/person/day. Staff was always so friendly and gave great dinner recommendations. Although the room was much smaller than a typical American room, we didn’t feel claustrophobic at all; it was rather refreshing and still spacious!

It would have been nice to have the meats and cheeses labeled with breakfast, but maybe most European guests know them well enough just by looking. I am not sure how common air conditioning is in Germany or its hotels, but some nights it got a little stuffy with just the portable fan provided. The only other thing I would advise others on is the fact that this is NOT a hotel for guests with mobility issues; there is an elevator, but it is quite small (maybe 5x5 feet) and is only accessible via landings in between each floor, requiring you climb stairs to access it.

It was my second time in this hotel. I had a different room this time which was even better than the first time. Here's my first review: I chose this hotel because of its proximity to some place that I needed to be at the next day. Great location (4-minute ride by U4 from the Munich Central Station). You can walk to Englisher Garten in 5 minutes. 10 to 15-minute walk to Frauenkirche. Very friendly staff. Very clean room (mini-fridge/kettle/coffee and tea/a little sewing kit)/shower (body lotion/hygienic set/shower cap)/bathroom. Fresh breakfast (warm and cold) from 6:30 to 10:30.

The location at this hotel was great, it's a good neighborhood so we felt safe. We really liked the fact that it's a quiet area, this hotel is very close to the metro, which makes it very convenient. It's very close to Old Town, just a couple of metro stops away. Not too far as well from Marienplatz and Karlsplatz, the metro is very easy to use, so nothing to worry about in that aspect. We would stay here again!

Something to mention if you travel with a lot of luggage or for individuals with a physical or mobility impairment is that the elevator is located a flight of stairs above each level (not sure if I make sense). For example, the lobby is at level 0, you would have to walk up a flight of stairs between levels 0 and 1 to take the elevator to level 1, etc. It's weird how that was planned. The hotel looks a bit dated, but we did not mind that at all.

1. Service was excellent. Every employee we interacted with was very professional, courteous, and above / beyond service. They truly seemed to want us to enjoy our stay, from the front desk, kitchen, to housekeeping staff. Excellent customer service 2. Good value. Munich is not cheap. And we just didn’t want to pay the higher prices to be a little closer to old town. For what you are paying, it’s a great value. Its a no frills hotel room - bed, bathroom, closet, desk and a small couch area (we had the deluxe room). The rooms could definitely be designed better to allow more luxury but you aren’t paying for luxury - ex no microwave, no true mini frig (tho they had a super tiny frig for the items they offer you to buy), no a/c (which we didn’t need in Dec). Bathroom is huge and looks modern. 3. Location. While not in the main area of Alstadt, it’s in Lehel which is 2 tram stops from Marienplatz, so it’s definitely easy to get around esp if you take the trains. If you want to walk, Marienplatz is about a 20 min walk. It’s very near the English Gardens abd place where they surf in the river 4. Water pressure in shower was good 5. They do offer breakfast if you want that option - I think it’s around 16€. We opted out, so I can’t comment as to that aspect. They serve it from 6-10a and we aren’t morning people. So we would have not made it in time for breakfast :) I do recommend Hotel Adria

1. Not having an area to wash our coffee and water cups, though each day you could ask housekeeping to give you new cups 2. Not having a microwave or other kitchen appliances in the room (like a toaster or hot plate), though they do let you use the microwave in the kitchen 3. The red/yellow colors of the room 4. Just a note that even with the elevators, you still have to walk up some stairs, which could be problematic for some people with mobility issues.

Excellent location close to Metro, most comfortable beds ever and the biggest, soft pillows (they were double sized)!

We arrived early, hoped for an early check in. Our room was not ready, we dropped our luggage and left to explore. We returned at 2 pm, sat at reception, observed the cleaning lady drop a key at the front desk and said the room was ready. Although the lady knew we were waiting for our room and an early check, she never told us our room was ready. She left as her day was done. When we asked the woman who relived her if our room was ready, she said it was and she didn’t understand why she wasn’t told were were waiting for our room. Disappointing.

The hotel rooms were spacious and clean. Large enough for everyone to spread out and comfortable for sleep at night. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and always made us feel welcome. The location wasn't as close as I had wanted but still within reasonable walking distance to everything. It was a 15 min cab ride from the train station.

One of the rooms we booked had a gap in the shower door, so water was pouring out whenever anyone showered. The other room had a loud banging noise that sounded like it was coming from the heater. We even turned it off and the noise was still there the entire stay. Despite booking the rooms without breakfast, one of the rooms were still charged breakfast at checkout which wasn't used since we booked it without breakfast and weren't aware it was on the bill.

This hotel was in a great location. It's very near Lehel U station and the tram. It was about a 20-minute walk to Marienplatz through nice areas. It was within a 5 minute walk of the Englischgarten. We felt very safe walking around. There were cafes, bakeries and shops nearby. The staff were friendly and appreciated us trying to use some German. This was a great location to stay with children, as it was easy to get around, use public transport and visit the park and playground. Great pillows too!

This is an older hotel. There is a lift, but it only goes between floors. This didn't bother us, as we just went up and down the stairs. But may be an issue for someone with mobility issues.

Great location, felt very safe as a solo female traveler. Reception was always lovely to deal with. Spacious room with workspace for a laptop, modern bathroom and nice big shower. Multiple windows opened for fresh air.

Not a big problem but housekeeping never replenished tea/coffee/milk during my stay (I always had to get them from reception) and left a pile of damp old towels in my room near the door which I think they had forgotten to remove. The towels were not much bigger than a large hand towel which was strange. The bed was creaky.

We had the family room, really spacious and kids were in a separate room which was helpful. Very clean, excellent breakfast (for an extra charge) including bread, meats, cheese, yogurts, fruit and vegetables, and eggs & bacon available. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we were able to leave our luggage after checkout which was helpful as we had a bit more sightseeing to do before our train left. Location was good - nice quiet area with bakeries and restaurants nearby, short walk to the English Gardens (with two playgrounds which our kids loved and helped break up the sightseeing) and easy access to city centre (walking or tram etc). Weather was warm while we were there, but fans in rooms and open windows were fine to cool down.

Nothing - we had a very good experience.
