The staff were very friendly and helpful in booking transfers and addressing concerns. The location is unbeatable if you would like to spend time exploring the Monastiraki streets, and the main attractions in the city. The rooftop restaurant provides a lovely view of the area when you are enjoying breakfast.

The air conditioning did not work throughout the evening until the next morning and we had to open the windows because due to the heat and humidity. There is limited space to place your toiletries in the bathroom. There are limited English and sports channels, and European travelers will be delighted to note there are several drama and news channels dedicated to the European languages.

Very central location; room was comfortable and had a balcony/ small terrace. Most of the staff were very nice. Metro to the airport across the street.

Room was quite noisy as it overlooked the street but they provided ear plugs and it wasn't so bad at night. Couple of little issues such as no coffee pods available for the in-room Nespresso machine and just one teaspoon provided with the coffee cups, hand soap forgotten initially, but minor things... Coffee machine was broken on two occasions and one of the staff was quite unhelpful about that, whereas another was very helpful. Hot breakfast was ok, breakfast finished at 10.30 but very little hot choice at 10.

The room, the hotel, the staff, were excellent. The roof bar was great and the Saturday night entertainment First class. The variety and amount of food offered was great. The extra big plus was the hotel being so close to such a busy area of shops, restaurant and transport right in the city centre. Indeed we were lucky that there was a three on three basketball tournament in the square over the weekend we stayed which added to the buzz and excitement of the whole adventure

The only criticism I would make of the whole stay would be the lack of attention of breakfast staff in replenishing both the hot food and basics like bread. They may well have had other tasks but did not spend enough time in the breakfast room

Location is amazing, less than 5 minutes away to Monastiraki square and metro station. Staff is very friendly, breakfast is delicious and enough. Hot water comes in 5 seconds. The only thing i should warn about is, if you have sleeping problem with the noise from outside, it is very central location with bars around so it is noisy at night. Me and my friend could sleep well because we dont mind it but if you need quite place maybe you should ask them for a room that is not looking to the street. Our room was with balcony and looking to street and we stayed at friday, saturday, sunday nights so probably other days are better.

Really close to city centre,metro station, clean,nice staff,great shisha on the roof, deffo you need to try the spa, get a cocktail from Snob, the view from the balcony is amazing

No slippers in the room, the noise from outside, a more bit diverse breakfast would be nice, and would be nice to give your guest something for their birthday in the future like a small cake or fruits or flowers...I spend mine on your hotel and I would have loved to get something from you just saying, some more fluffy pillows they are too hard to sleep.on

I wasn’t even sure how to start looking for a hotel- there were so many options I wasn’t sure how to narrow it down. I took a chance and booked the Royalty Hotel because it was reasonably priced and seemed to be in a good location. When I arrived the staff were welcoming and friendly which was very nice after a long journey. The hotel is across the street from Monastiraki square, and a 15 minute walk to the Acropolis- but if you leave early there are a lot of restaurants and shops along the way. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would most definitely recommend the Royalty Hotel and would stay there again if I ever go back to Athens.

The rooftop restaurant and bar were OK and there aren’t any other food or drink options at the hotel (other than breakfast); but there are so many other options nearby.

Very good location in Monastiraki near the flea market. Lots of food places and shops around. 15-20 mins walk to the Acropolis etc. The room was big and clean.

First our mini bar fridge was broken and they said they will try to fix it the next day but didn't get fixed. With the heat in Greece we wanted to always have cold water but this was impossible. They said we can put the water in their fridge at the lobby but of course we didn't want to keep going up and down just to get our water. Second, the breakfast was okay but they didn't have the usual sauces like ketchup or mayo. Not a big deal but it's a bit strange. Third, the aircon takes a long time to coop the room. We got there and the room was very hot. It took almost the whole night before the room was properly cooled down.

All staff exceptionally helpful & friendly giving advice & information, printing tickets etc. Spacious room/suite on 3rd floor with huge terrace. Very noisy on first night, loud music, cars tooting, cheering etc but later found out that a Greek team had won a major basketball final so fully understandable! The next nights were fine, & the central location was certainly worth it. So close to all the sites/museums we wanted to visit. Breakfast on the 6th floor with views of the Acropolis was great. STRONGLY RECOMMEND buying tickets online in advance for the Acropolis. We were there at 10.30 & first availability 3.30pm so went back next day. Even then we couldn’t get tickets before 1pm (May 2024.) You will still queue even with tickets & you won’t be admitted a minute before your time! But it is definitely worth it. Take plenty of water, hats etc. Also recommend booking a car to/from the airport with the hotel. 100% better than the taxi we had to wait ages for, who trapped my partner’s hand in the door, & only cost €5 more. We had a lovely time & would love to go back.

Alot of positives about the hotel. Firstly location, close to Metro, main square, markets and 20 min walk to Plaka and Acropolis area. Room was very spacious and recently renovated. Large King bed and separate Single bed both very comfortable. Pillows good. Air con very efficient. We had door to go out onto balcony but quite hot there most of the day. Shower excellent with lots of extra jets. Breakfast amazing with local chef arriving 6.00am every morning to cook everything fresh. Lovely local sweet offerings including muffins and baklava. Lifts adequate but not working to 3rd floor on last day. We stayed 2 nights here and were very happy with our stay. Receptionist was helpful to recommend options to get to Airport early the next morning. Roof top bar great in the evening. We had 2nd nights dinner there with pasta, pizza and salad. Salads huge and food very good. This particular night about 20 local couples came to dance under the stars. Nice view to Acropolis from roof top.

Overall, there are not many negatives. Lift wasn't working to 3rd floor on last day so had to carry suitcases down 1 floor and then catch service elevator to Ground. The second elevator out of order for whole stay. The only other negative was speed of service on roof top bar on 2nd night. With more than 30 local dancers ordering drinks, it was hard to get service. Lucky we had ordered food before everyone arrived. But pizza arrived cold and had to send back to heat it up. Wait staff doing their best but couldn't cope with people there and guests weren't prioritised.

Breakfast was amazing. Chef arrived on site at 6.00am every morning to make everything fresh. Home made baklava and many other delicious sweets. Nice cooked breakfast options. Coffee and juice great. Room - amazing shower. Beds very comfortable. My daughter 18 on large comfy roll away. Air con strong and worked well. Staff friendly and packed us breakfast box for our early flight. Roof top bar great for Italian food for dinner or just drinks. Location very close to Square, and markets and metro, however a little noisy at night mainly with cars tooting. We came prepared and wore our rear plugs. E90 for mini van pick up to Airport which was 45 min drive at 5.00am. But train easy option if you don't have early flight. Metro station just 1 min walk.

The elevator was playing up on our last day so we had to carry our bags down one floor of spiral staircase to use service elevator to ground floor
