We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. The property is well located with an excellent caldera view and it's only a short walk (up a set of stairs) to the main street of Fira. Our group took up the 1-bedroom unit and 2-bedroom unit. A great feature was the generous outdoor patio with dining table, which we used on 2 nights to eat dinner in while enjoying the sunset. Both units were quite spacious and had a large lounge/dining area. The bedroom itself was reasonably sized with comfortable beds. Wi-fi was reasonably quick. There's a luggage handling service which takes your luggage to/from Hotel Atlantis (the meeting point with the host) down to Caldera Senses. There's also a daily maid service to tidy up the unit and resupply.

For the 2-bedroom unit, the bathroom was a little cramped and the wi-fi did not reach the 2nd bedroom in the back. No cutting board was provided (we did ask the host and they said they do not provide one). The meeting point at Hotel Atlantis is not accessible to all vehicles, so it may be necessary for the transport to drop you off/pick you up from outside Kamari Tours and you'll need to lug your bags up to Hotel Atlantis.

First and foremost, do not take the small room. There are in total 3 different units for Caldera Senses. Small, medium, large. Our original booking was that we book the smallest room with stairs and immediately when I stepped into the room, I want to get out, it was too small, stairs are too steep and not practical. You will get claustrophobia. Just take the medium or large room and they are all good. Luckily the host Artemis help me to upgrade to the medium room by topping up the difference since it is empty. If i did not change it, my whole trip will be ruined. No doubt the view is fantastic from the balcony. We are really thankful that someone help us to bring our luggage from Hotel Atlantis to the hotel and return as well. It is a free added service. Breakfast can be prepared with the kitchenette for the medium room. The cleaner is also super friendly and hardworking. We were also greeted by Artemis and a man who brought us and our lugggage to the property with explanation.

Wifi could be faster. Never book the small room. With the same price, especially for the small room, you will get a better deal elsewhere.

Our host was in touch from the moment we booked! We couldn’t have asked for more. Airports transfers booked, restaurant recommendations, and the most perfect room for our family of 4. We stayed for 3 nights at Caldera Senses at the beginning of June. We booked last minute, not expecting too much but hoping for a bit of a caldera view. We flew in after sunset. The car was waiting for us at the airport and took us on a short 10 minute ride to Fira. I’d definitely recommend booking an airport transfer just for piece of mind, especially if arriving late with a family. The driver took our bags and escorted us down the steps to the accommodation. We couldn’t see much, but knew we’d booked well, simply by the location to all the tourist spots close by. In the morning when we opened the doors, and the view was insane! The photos of this place do not do it justice. The terrace is divine with panoramic views! We were lucky to enjoy the terrace all to ourselves for the 3 days we were there, although it is shared with 2 other rooms. The room we stayed in had 2 sofa beds, perfect for our 2 boys, and a separate bedroom and family bathroom. A small kitchenette provided the basics if you wanted to prepare something in the room. Our flight was leaving late on check out day. Our host was so kind, and offered to keep our luggage at their sister hotel in Fira. It allowed us to really enjoy our final day in Fira! We will no doubt come again to Caldera Senses. An absolute gem of a place!

Excellent location! The view amazing! We loved the shared terrace and balcony areas. There are only 3 rooms, so lots of space for everyone to enjoy the beautiful view and sunset. The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating. If you need anything, just ask.

We stayed in the smallest room. If you like tiny houses this is the room for you, otherwise take one of the other rooms. Also, you need to be aware that the bathroom is on the lower level, with a very tiny sitting area and the bed is above, up very steep stairs, more like a ladder at an angle. Since we knew this already, it was not a problem for us, but may be an issue if you’re not used to such steep steps, especially going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. It is a charming room though and after all there’s such nice spaces outside the room to hang out.

I couldn’t recommend Caldera Senses enough. The location is amazing , with great views to Caldera and sunset, walking distance to all the restaurants , bars , supermarket and shops . Artemis was so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable, she helped us book tours and recommended the best places and restaurants to visit that saved us a lot of time and exceeded our expectations . She was always responsive. Someone met us to welcome us and guide us to the property. The house keeping lady was super friendly , discreet and helpful . The room was very clean . We will definitely go back and book at the same property.

We did not believe we could afford a Caldera view cave house but the little studio loft at Caldera Senses was affordable and the view was amazing.

The terrace is shared so if you get the right neighbors (we did the first two nights) it's even better but if it you end up with people that are less comfortable then it's not so great (third night).

Beautiful location with some incredible sunset views. Very close to town and the staff was very helpful arranging the taxis. Thank you!

The room that we stay was super small and the room is like a bunk bed, not sure how described….specifically for a person that has claustrophobia was hard to stay there for 5 night, I was very nervous. I asked the owner to help us but unfortunately this didn’t happen. I wish the description of the room was better, there is 2 other rooms that was perfect, if I knew it before definitely booked one for the other rooms.

It would have been nice if there were some sun umbrellas on the top deck and some coffee and tea and milk supplies
