The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was lovely and whilst the pools were cold we had a great time lazing about in them. The private pool wasn't totally private but it was nice to have our own little space to float around in! The facilities were clean and the ambience was perfect down to the music that was played. This was also the first time I experienced the room being bigger than it looks in the picture! It was a wonderful stay and we hope to go back to Nima again next year!

• The most comfortable hotel bed we have ever experienced. • Clean, roomy and well supplied room. • Roomy, well functioning shower. • One the best buffet breakfasts we have ever experienced in any hotel, anywhere.

• The floor of shower was quite slippery when wet. • The stairway in our two-level room did not have any railings whatsoever. Thus, this two-level room would be totally unsuitable for adults with children or adults travelling with elderly parents. (See photos) • The breakfast area was not well shaded. Sun beat in from the open east end and was blinding for anyone facing east and made for temperatures higher than should have been. • Being of a modern design, the interior was mostly white. Some color would have made for a more cozy interior. Of course, that is just our taste.

This hotel is a great choice if you plan to spend your days exploring the cities of Chania and Rethymno. The rooms are tastefully decorated, combining a minimalist style with practical amenities. The staff is exceptionally kind, much like the family-run restaurants in the surrounding area.

The dining area is open-air for breakfast, which meant we had to eat under intense heat, something that took us by surprise. For a 4-star hotel, it would have been greatly appreciated if there was an option to pre-book sunbeds at the nearby beaches, especially given the location.

The friendliness of the staff. Not even the word amazing does them justice. Had an issue with the bed, bam! fixed. Had an issue with a light switch at 11PM, bam! fixed. Shout out to Maria for her amazing Tipps and recommendations. P.S. the owners also own the taverna around the corner and you get a nice discount for eating there. Even without the discount, go eat there! Delicious Greek Food. The locals come for the pizzas here.

Can't complain about a single thing

Lovely warm welcome by Maria who showed us our room and gave us our welcome drinks. Staff hospitality and friendliness in unmatched, such nice people! The hotel is very modern with beautiful, spacious and very clean rooms. Pool is big given the size of the hotel with plenty of sun beds. Hotel is located in a quiet street and in close proximity to some very good restaurants and pubs. All in all great value for money! Definitely coming back!

Wifi quality was poor in our room

Huge bed! We were a bit concerned the listing only said double bed, we would really have struggled with a 4'6" but it was a king size!! So was the TV. Very comfortable room with lovely views to the pool and the mountains from the spacious deck. Good choice of breakfast with eggs cooked to order and the best cup of coffee ever. Although there's no full time restaurant the taverna next door is in the same family with a very comprehensive menu. The wood oven pizza was excellent and prices all very competitive. And the live rock and roll at Posto di caffe is the icing on the cake. We will be back! The beach is very close, just a short walk across the road and there's plenty of parking.

Very new hotel, really clean and modern. Friendly staff. Great rooms, quite large, good balconies. Great nespresso-machines in the rooms. Aircondition working great. Relaxing and quiet pool-area, always available sunbeds. Short walk to an excellent sandy beach. Breakfast was good with lots of different options and fresh fruit. Really enjoyed our stay, will return.

Some minor things that could be improved: Was told during check-in that breakfast was open from 07:30 to 10:00, but it was in fact not ready until sometime after 08:00. Somewhat differing options, some days there were pancakes and croissants, other days there weren’t. Would be good if it was available every day. Also coffee was good, but would recommend learning how much foam there should be in a cappuccino for example, to make even better coffees. Missing some hooks in the bathrooms to hang towels etc.

Very clean and modern hotel with excellent clear water pool, comfortable beds and calm atmosphere. Friendly and accommodating staff made sure that we had everything for the comfort - fridge, slippers, bathrobes. We felt very welcome and appreciated that our early check-in request was met. Huge plus is the hotels location: near the lake Kournas and a very short drive to Rethymno. Restaurants, beach and shopping made us stay in the area and we have visited cities only for sightseeing.

The warm hospitality from Maria and Martina, the well-appointed room with two balconies, and thoughtful touches like local Greek wine made our stay feel truly special. The hotel management’s responsiveness to guest feedback was also impressive

The shared sliding door between the shower and restroom was a bit inconvenient, and the gravel parking area could have been more organized with designated spaces
