The hotel is in the best location for unobstructed views of the caldera and sunset—more privacy than you would ordinarily get at a Santorini hotel. Imerovigli is the best place to stay. A lot of restaurants. Road by the hotel, walking path to Fira. Bus stop 5-minute walk. Across from a market with everything you could need if you forgot something. Pool and lounge chairs with beautiful views. The staff were so helpful and friendly. THE VIEW!!!!!!

The hotel is a bit run down and needs updating. Peeling paint, patio furniture is old and worn out. The furniture in the room is plastic patio furniture. I did not like the layout of the rooms. Breakfast is in the room but you need to reserve a time in advance. No restaurant although there are many next door. So many stairs but that is how it is in Santorini. Not for people with any walking problems.

The most amazing suite (we stayed in Lagoon Suite) in Imerovigli, Santorini with unbeatable views of the sea and Thirasia island and Oia from the property. We had a private deck area with lounge chairs and a sun umbrella and a dining table. We loved sitting out and enjoying the view and sunbathing. There is a pool on the property as well and we had a private hot tub in the bathroom. The complimentary breakfast was delicious (you can choose from an assortment of menu items) and delivered to us in the morning to eat with the view. Alex at the front desk and George were so friendly and helpful! They also have a laundry service and can help with booking tours and massages. They helped us arrange semi private shuttles from the ferry port which made our trip so smooth. This was the best part of our Europe trip and honeymoon, I would highly recommend Above Blue!

Just wanted to note that the hot tub inside the bathroom can make the air humid in the suite but the property provides a humidifier which helped a lot. The suite is also next to a wine bar, which you can hear people chatting and music in the evenings.

Location and views are good. It’s quiet. Way too many cats on the property- but that’s true all over Greece. It was winter so the market next door was closed. Would’ve definitely been great to have it open. It’s very close to the bus stop - so commuting up and down the island via bus was easy. Walking to Fira - about 30 odd minutes - but lovely walk on a mild weather day. The hotel manager arranged pickup and drop off from the airport- about 30 euros each way - uber would be slightly more expensive. He also recommended and arranged a sailing cruise - which I thought was pretty good. Breakfast was great - and always on time. All in all a good cozy stay.

Some bathroom fixtures and jacuzzi fittings are slightly rusty - not too bad though - considering this is normal for islands. For the winter months - I recommend an indoor jacuzzi.

We stayed in the Heaven Suite, the views from the balcony were incredible! We loved the jacuzzi and the bed was comfy! The guys that worked at the pool bar were so helpful and friendly. We loved the breakfast that was delivered each morning and that they had so many gluten free options. The bathroom was well appointed. The sunsets from our balcony were simply stunning. Don't waste your time trying to get sunset restaurant reservations--just watch them straight form your balcony!

They only give you two shower towels. I asked for more the first day and they did bring me one, but then only left two each day after.

We enjoyed very much the view. Probably that's the main thing we paid for. And the staffs was nice and supportive. We booked a Felicity Suite, it didn't have hot bath on the balcony like other suites but we got a nice shared swimming pool in front

Probably the breakfast. We had multiple options for the breakfast. You probably will be overwhelmed when you look at the menu the first time. However, the quality seems a bit cheap (for us, they were the juice, honey, and cornflakes, etc.)

Was a bit disappointed with the breakfast, compared to the rest of holidays on our Greece trip, I thought it could be improved- bit basic, didn’t match the quality of the hotel. Also something wrong with the sewerage pipes in Charm suite, it smelt awful and we had to keep our door shut the whole time. Even after the room was cleaned it still really smelt. Shame for such a beautiful room.

Above Blue is in a great location in Imerovigli. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Maria was a gracious day host (arranged a rental car to be delivered and gave good off-season restaurant recommendations), and the breakfast room service every day was great - a number of menu choices and high quality. Perfect views of the setting sun over the caldera from both our rooms, Moonlit and Lagoon. Both those suites are toward the upper part of the hotel, and easily accessed from the street.

We liked the place a lot, but have some observations for the time of year we were there. In March, many stores, restaurants and hotels are not open in Imerovigli (or anywhere in Santorini), so we used our car heavily. That worked for us because we do not love crowds, but it's something to consider. I would also note that the ensuite hot tub in Lagoon means the room smells like chorine, at least in the time of year when you keep windows closed.

Georgia made us feel so welcome from the beginning of our stay, she recommended us so many lovely places to go and showed us round the hotel Maria was so helpful and made all our reservations for the whole week for dinners, booked our taxis and always was so friendly. Andrew also made some great recommendations, he said anogi restaurant for dinner was a must which we ended up eating at twice whilst we were away (it's great and so reasonable). He made great cocktails and was very friendly and made sure we had bottled water whilst we sunbathed etc. It was small touches at above blue which made it a very special stay such as the breakfast to your room each morning at your chosen time, the service provided not only just by reception but by the pool and the time staff gave to explain where to go and where to eat out. Rooms: all rooms you could see out to the beautiful view all day every day. We stayed in rose suite. Above blue provide you again with everything you need for 'just in case' on a holiday away, iron, hairdryer, sewing kit, robes,slippers,tooth brushes etc etc, they've thought of it all! It was a bonus having a hot tub on your balcony, what a way to watch the sunset, so relaxing. The hotel was so peaceful too. Food and drink: breakfast was very yummy each morning, you got to choose what you wanted from the menu every day and you could pick multiple options. The hotel was faultless, was worth every penny. We went away for my husband's 30th birthday and I am so pleased I chose to take him to above blue. We loved every minute. We hope to visit again in the future! (Pacman restaurant also is a must, the staff recommended it and the sunset was beautiful). Thank you, Pippa and Warren

Beautiful views of the caldera and an excellent location await you at Above Blue. Perfect place to watch the sunset from your balcony or hot tub. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. You preselect what you want and they deliver it to your room at a set time. Cannot recommend it enough.

The hot tub wasn't super hot but it was still nice. Depending on your room type, it may not also be the most private, but that is the case with a lot of places in Santorini. Schedule your breakfast early since they have set times so if you can pick first you'll have the most flexibility.

Comfortable, spacious room with outdoor area overlooking the sea. Truly spectacular view of the island and caldera. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delivered to our room and we were able to eat outside on our private deck. We came in the off-season (March) which meant the price was quite reasonable. The location is spectacular for views but you need a car (or taxi) to get there. We walked into Fira in about 20 minutes though return trip takes longer because it's uphill. (Everything is on a hill in Santorini!) We would absolutely return here!
