Impressive old building (former Carmelite nuns convent)! We had a large room on the second floor. The breakfast was really good value for money, and varied. Good coffee. The employees were extremely helpful. We could park right outside of the hotel, and they also had video surveillance for the parking. Wonderful looking yard. Within walking distance of the city centre.

Very soft beds, they might hurt some backs. The building was old, so the floors were high, and there were a lot of steps to go up (~90 to the second floor - the nice guy at the reception carried our bags up the stairs, but 90 stairs at a time are still a bit many). Our room had a window which was opened by the storm outside. Being on the topmost floor meant we also heard all the rain falling on the roof.

Great location, possibly best in town. Parking, at very reasonable rate. Room with a view (see picture). Decent breakfast: nothing spectacular, yet nothing missing. Not many amenities, especially for kids. But spacious room. And really nice staff. Would definitely stay here again, especially for a stopover or short stay.

There's no elevator, and you can hear sounds from adjacent rooms. I guess that depends on the building age. Hasn't been a problem for us. Writing it here so that you can take that into account if these are details important for you.

It was pretty good. Room was a bit small but not bad. The breakfast was lovely and the location was grand.

Only issue was the parking. It’s roped off and the guests need to move the rope themselves. Not a big deal I though. But when I unhooked the rope and got into my car to drive in, an old British punter sped into the spot and pretended not to notice me. I was going to say a word in anger to him, but being being a Christian decided to let him alone and unrope a different spot, which worked out fine but it was a lot more cramped than the first one. I feel like this guy got away with being selfish. Also, there are a lot of gypsies in the town.

Excellent location. It is a really nice building. Breakfast is really good. The room was clean.

You cannot open the windows just if you are tall enough to reach the window (old double windows - one of them is far). They have central heating. It works cca. between late October and early March. The weather could be cold outside this.period so if you don't have a room with air conditioner you should ask for an electric heater. The WiFi is weak in the rooms and the connection is not very stable. My own Internet worked well but had issues with WiFi. Unfortunately I think they start cleaning the rooms early in the morning so it was noisy between 6.30-7.00.am. It was a bit disturbing

Perfect location, absolutely in the historical center of Gyor. Spar,McDonald,KFC, local restaurants very very close, just "behind the corner". Aquapark is 7mins by walk. Also tourist train IS just behind the hotel. Receptionists Can speak english, no problem with communication.

First hotel where I had to put my bed cover on my own. Beds are too soft and not comfortable. Missing aircondition but I understand that due to historical building IT IS not possible to install them (maybe).

Location and building itself - increadible!!! Feeling after staying here is wonderful, even though some things were not comfortable for me. It is some kind of misterious place. I think, I'd like to stay here again one day. Old coridors, huge 1m walls, entrance to the room with two wooden doors, increadible windows, some other interesting details. Room was perfectly clean!

Poor and very not tasty breakfast. Coffee not possible to drink at all. There was no possibility to control air conditioning by myself. Controller was available only on reception. Have to mention, administrator supported with this, so in the end there was no problem. Mini bar was missing.

The special flair. Very kind & correct people. Very clean room & bath. The location was: -in the of heard of city -beside river (Very good for walk with dogs) Breakfast with my small dog at their yard. Parking of front of hotel. Very clean room and modern clean bath. I will come again!

No elevator. But it's okay for people without handycap. Limited parking. 6€ Parking per night extra 8€ per dog extra per night! This is okay, but this has to be explained & clearly pointed out on the hotel costs on booking!!

Being bothered by booking.com to write reviews. Oh, I need to write three sentences? Here's three sentences. Pay me to write for you. Also maybe the splash protection in the bathtub maybe doesn't protect against much splash.

Easy to find, parking in front for reasonable fee, warm greeting by the lady at the desk, who was very helpful, professional and polite. It means a lot to me when I'm welcomed nicely and my questions are answered. All three people at reception I encountered were smiling and professional. The room was very comfortable and perfect for us four. Doors not squeaky. The view of the old monastery courtyard was spectacular and charming, towers, flocks of pigeons flying. Spacious functioning shower, nice hot water. Elegant historical building and well furnished, loved the old pictures. This is the place to stay in Gyor!

I actually can't think of anything, we like a hot pot in the room for tea or coffee but that's hardly a demand, as breakfast was offered downstairs. In fact having to leave was really the only drawback.

Hotel is in the old monastery right in the city centre. Although the rooms are simple (according to monastery history), they are spacious, clean, quiet and comfy. The atmosphere of the hotel is unique with lovely views of the city and courtyard with sun clock. The boy at the receptiom was very polite and helpful despite the fact it was late night when we arrived.

Public parking on the street may not be always available.
