The location is wonderful - quiet and scenic, away from development and traffic but still close to Vik. Birders will love the plethora of species easily spotted and heard. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was lavish, varied, and plentiful. Wonderful coffee. The staff are hardworking, helpful, and friendly. I stayed at this guesthouse in 2015 and was happy to be back.
I think that I am still not adjusted to the contactless check-in that I think must be a byproduct of the pandemic. I wanted to engage with the owners and play with their dogs again. No sign of either. Maybe other people prefer it, but it makes me sad.

The room and facilities were as advertised, very cozy and comfortable beds. We saw the Aurora from this location!
Accessing the room was a bit of a faff! We had a door code but it wasn't obvious how to input this code at the point of entry - i.e. there were no visible numbers on the room door handle. We arrived to the accommodation later than planned and it was stated that the Reception would still be open however there was nobody there - we called the number and were told they would be around the hotel somewhere on errands. When we explained the problem they didn't really understand what we were saying. On going back to the room there were other guests in the corridor and explained how to get the numbers on the door handle visible - we felt a bit silly!

Quiet Beautiful views Great breakfast! Comfortable bed Big shower for once!
The messaging through booking.com is not accurate because this places uses a third party to manage them so they didn’t give me correct info. For instance I asked if there was laundry via messenger and they said yes it’s 2000 ISK. So upon arrival at 5pm approximately the front desk staff said it’s too late and said the front desk is not the one messaging me. Thankfully he still did our laundry- very nice of him! But then when I picked it up he said it was 4000 isk- 2000 for washing 2000 for drying.

Breakfast had great variety and a cappuccino machine. The view of the mountains shining with the midnight sun was spectacular. Make sure you get a front facing room to see them.

Comfortable, secluded, with sparkly clean facility and room, especially bathroom, towels and bed linen. The cleanest place I've ever stayed. The breakfast buffet had many choices and was very tasty. Staff were kind and helpful, especially Alice and Stephan. I enjoyed chatting with Alice and was grateful for her help getting my luggage to my room, which was very far down a long hallway with steps, and writing down the names if several attractions in the area and how to get to them. Stephan helped me correct a couple of oversights on my part, without judgement, ie I inadvertantly left with the room key in my pocket. Instead of returning, he assured me it would be ok to leave it with the receptionist at my next location. I also left without paying for my food (2 delish soups). I thought the charges were automatically added to my stay. He sent me a link that was easy to use to quickly resolve that issue too, without returning. As a 74yo solo traveler, I couldn't have picked a better place to feel secure and well cared for.
Missed having a working tv. Since I was traveling alone I picked places to stay that had tv in their description. I was disappointed at first, but overall this was a minor inconvenience.

Great views, comfortable, clean rooms. Fabulous breakfast. Would definitely recommend to other travellers. An easy 15 minutes drive away from the centre of Vik where we went for the evening at the Lava Show and a meal.

It has a great location, slighly out of Vik and perfect to scout out for Northern lights in the middle of vast fields! The rooms were comfortable and just nice! The breakfast spread was also amazing!
We had a bit of problem as we didnt collect the physical key and relied on the digital lock for self check in! Later at night the lock complaint for low battery and we were worried of getting locked out! Just make sure you get the physical keys as well from the reception while checkin! Otherwise all good!

We got all the information for self-checkin ahead of time, which was super convenient. Breakfast was amazing! Plenty of options, great quality of food, very good coffee (which I emphasize, because I know I am picky), quick food replacemnet.
The room was not as warm as we expected (in comparison with other places in iceland), although it was not cold. Bed was comfortable, but the linen was slightly overused. It felt a bit overpriced, compared to other places we stayed in Iceland, even considering the great breakfast

Lovely stay just outside of Vik when good sized, clean rooms and a really good hot breakfast! We ate dinner at the hotel and it was delicious! Food and beds were very nice! The views of the glacier was a lovely surprise!
Not the hotels fault, but some of the guests coming in were rather loud which woke us up a few times.
