The property is beautifully located, tucked away on a beautiful stretch of land, and yet only a few minutes' drive from Vik. It is a great place to stay and explore the black sand beach, Vik, the DC3 plane wreck, and many other surrounding attractions. The hosts are friendly, cooperative, and very responsive. They accommodated to both our late check-in and late check-out requests and were quick to answer any queries. They have a beautiful family dog who is very friendly and eager to welcome the guests. Great recommendations were shared by the hosts for activities, attractions, and food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Everything was great!

The location was perfect place to stay for day trips along the southern coast of Iceland. The view from the room as spectacular and the night sky with the northern lights was breathtaking. It was quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed seeing the horses on the farm and we have some great pictures with my wife and one of the horses. Having a kitchenette in the room was golden. Allowed us to save money on food eating out which is expensive. Could not have been more perfect for us. Such a lovely place to stay. We did not want to leave.

There was nothing we did not like except having to say goodbye.

Kitchenette is very helpful since there’s not that many restaurants available along the south coast. There’s a stovetop to cook on as well as pans and utensils to cook with. It was fun to pet the horses on the site. Parking was available outside of the room. There aren’t many locations to choose from in Vik, but this one was great. Its also a great location from all of the attractions (west and east of this)

The shower isn’t great. It’s just a curtain in the bathroom, so the curtain touches you when showering and water gets all over the floor

First of all the place itself is amazing. The room includes everything you need for a single or a couple, and is very clean. The view from every window is really amazing, it's fun to wake up and see all this beauty. There is a nice balcony, with a table and chairs, although when I was there it was cold and I didn't use it. You can park the car right next to the room, so you hardly need to carry anything, two steps and you are at the entrance to the room. The location is excellent, close to Vik. In short, highly recommended.

I loved everything.

Cozy suite with nicely equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher. Unit was very clean and beds were quite comfortable. Location was quiet and peaceful but Vik was close by for shopping and restaurants. Also, close to the South Iceland attractions (Dyrhólaey Peninsula, Skógafoss, etc.). Communication with staff was excellent and check-in process was easy. The owners provided us with a power adaptor to use during our stay (we had mistakenly left ours at the prior guesthouse), and we would like to thank them very much for this kindness!

It would have been nice to have a microwave.

We very much appreciated Apparentment 8 on the end. Great views of the beautiful area and very friendly family dog. Place was spacious enough for me and my Father for 4 nights. A great base for seeing the south coast. As promised an email was sent with check in instructions well before our arrival and all that we expected was delivered. The reason I chose this place was because I cancelled my first accommodation choice due to poor reviews regarding difficulty with check in, no email instructions prior to arrival and bad experiences with owners and the whole process. I wanted an easy stress free holiday with self catering facilities and this was the best within my budget and location and accommodation type... I have no regrets. Thank you for making everything so easy and stress free.

Shower head🚿 needs descaling. Kitchen would benefit from a can opener and spatula utensils. Otherwise all great.

-Very friendly and helpful! We were worried, because we arrived during a snowstorm, but one of the hosts met us in the drive just as we were about to phone them and helped lead us to our apartment. They also had it shoveled from snow early the next morning! -Great location -Lots of space for our suitcases -Bed was comfy -Clean -Good water pressure -Everything we needed in the kitchen -The family puppy was a little love <3

The apartment numbers could be painted a light color, so they'd be easier to see, and maybe a mirror outside of the bathroom.

Convenient location with lovely surrounding views; it is near the 1 so you can hear some traffic noise when sat on the veranda but we didn’t notice it at night. Great to have a dishwasher and this was the only place we stayed with a huge suitcase shelf which was really helpful. The owner’s pug loved coming to visit us 😊.

The mattresses were a bit soft for us but this is personal preference and we were surprised that there was no microwave. We stayed in two adjacent studios and one of them was missing a shower curtain which meant the shower flooded the floor as they are wet rooms.

Beautiful location on a local ranch not far from Vík, Dyrhólaey, Reynisfjara, and many other spots in south Iceland. The apartment is very quiet and peaceful and I loved waking up being greeted by the friendly horses and the cutest little pug walking around to say "hi". There is a guidebook left by the hosts and the instructions beforehand are very clear for accessing the apartment. Parking is right in front of the cabin. The bed was comfortable, the place was very clean, and there were enough kitchen amenities to make some meals yourself instead of eating out each night. I would definitely recommend this peaceful cabin!

I loved everything about the property. This was an absolutely perfect place to stay. It was completely pristine. It was beautifully made. The property is so peaceful. It is a wonderful place to stay. I really appreciate the book the host made that included recommendations for restaurants which were all great! I loved the tips about when to see the Northern Lights. I saw a wonderful Northern Lights show at this property and I am forever grateful for my stay here. Thank you!
