This is a beautiful heritage property manned by ever helpful staff. The room that we were put in on the 4th floor were a tad smaller ( or felt smaller than they were ) but were functional and all basic amenities in place. The property has spacious common areas on certain floors which offer excellent views. Overall a good value for money.

- Since this is located a bit off the city center, a better equipped games room with a TT table would have been great. It does mention on Booking.com listing that it has a TT table, but on enquiring we were told there was none. - We would hear a lot of noises due to monkeys on the roof ( as it has a wooden roofing) - We found taste of certain items not to our liking - extensive use to Tomato pure ( the Chef informed us his preparation are in the local style )

Excellent stay. The location of the property was great and its look and feel was also very elegant and beautiful. The manager along with the staff were very cooperative and courteous. Every issue was attended to by them. The food was also good. I'd recommend this hotel for both long and short stays to all for leisure.

I think the hotel could increase its staff for the front office. While checking out in the morning, it took some time for a young guy to manage everything by himself. Otherwise it's all fine.

This is a special property that gives a feel of a bygone era. The rooms, my bedroom and public rooms all are done in "traditional" classic style and done with great attention to detail. And the grounds sitting out on the lawn sipping tea and looking out over the green mountains is so relaxing. I loved this property and would absolutely return again. The manager Manooch (spelling?) was hands on very personable making sure I was happy with all.

Only possible negative was many items on the menu were not available that night, however the food is excellent.

We liked everything about the property specially hospitality. The staff of the Hotel were very nice, very friendly & always took care of our requirements. The breakfast was awesome and since we went there in low season, the cook of the hotel used to ask us what we would prefer for breakfast. Everyday there is a huge spread of breakfast and it changes regularly. We had chole bature one day, the next day was alu paratha and one day they provided Puri bhaji. Apart from these there were bread, boiled eggs, fresh omlette, fried chicken sausage, upma, uttapam, tea, coffee, fruits & juice. We always had evening snacks & dinner at the hotel which was delicious specially the chinese dishes. One day the hotel also organised bonfire for us and it was the best evening in Kalimpong. We danced a lot & the hotel staff also joined us.

The only thing which we didn't like is the hotel doesn't have any room arrangements for Drivers. I came to know from the manager that it is normal for the drivers to stay inside the car and as we hired cars from Kalimpong, the drivers were aware of this and they made their own arrangements. So if anyone is travelling with their own driver then better to book a separate room. We also found that the price of the food in the hotel is a bit expensive but it is very tasty.

Well maintained and nice outdoor. Gentle and supportive staff.

Food. There is variety but not much taste. Tea/Coffee kept in regular vessel and not thermal, hence not very hot. Missed the local food recipes (e.g momo, thukpa, Nepali thalis), and instead it was a regular buffet. Suggest to introduce more local dishes.

The location, staff, breakfast, drinks, pretty much everything was perfect, room was also nice and clean. The Highlight of this place is the staff, they are super nice and helpful. Special mention to Pranoy for his suggestions of off beat hikes and view points

The location , the overall heritage mixed with modernity, the staffs are so welcoming and polite , this is a perfect property to relax and spend time with nature …

Expected to have a bit more of variations of restaurant foods as it’s a bit from main market area so in-house dining menu should be a bit more elaborate . Next the room amenities need to be a bit more . Else nothing to complain .

We really cherished the following things at this property- 1. Staff behaviour (so warm and professional) 2. Food is excellent (you can customise the items) 3. Having coffee/tea in the garden is such a peaceful experience 4. Room service is top-notch 5. View from our Suite room (303) 6. Peaceful surroundings (away from hustle bustle of the city) 7. They have a super-friendly dog named 'Daisy' at the property (if you are a dog lover you will fall in love with her ^_^ )

Well, these are the things which one may consider to be cons- 1. Far from city (it was great for us though) 2. Mirror/Dressing area not there in Suite room (303)..(May be because it is a new property and they are yet to decorate it fully) 3. No lift (might be difficult for elderly people if they have weak knees) 4. Not much options for liquor (cocktail was unavailable so was single malt and few other drinks)

The main highlight was the view of Kanchenjunga during clear mornings. This makes the stay worthwhile. The staff were polite and helpful.

The breakfasts were ordinary. The dinners were really terrible. There are not other good restaurants nearby. So, unless you’re ready for long hike in a hilly area, you’re very much starved.

Really beautiful hotel up on a hill in Kalimpong. The staff is amazing, very welcoming and friendly and helpful..they made our stay absolutely perfect. The rooms are nice and large and comfortable, the restaurant does great food. I really loved our stay here and would definitely recommend it to everyone
