The hotel is in a fantastic location on the edge of the lake and the views from the rooftop are amazing. The staff at the hotel are great - very helpful and proactive in assisting you which really stood out to us! We really liked the room which was large and clean and in the heritage style.

The rooms are noisy at night. Soundproofing issues in heritage properties are to be expected but we were kept awake one night by guests in a separate room on the same floor. A silence after 11pm policy might go a way to improving this!

We absolutely loved our stay at Udaigarh. The view from the rooftop was breathtaking, and a perfect backdrop to enjoy the delicious and plentiful breakfast. The rooms were lovely and the staff were really attentive and kind. Pradeep on reception was especially helpful in booking us onward train tickets and keeping in touch with us in the coming days to ensure everything had gone well with our travels. Really nice service and really great value for money! I would definitely stay here again if visiting Udaipur in the future. Thank you! :)

The swimming pool was under refurbishment but this didn’t matter in December as the temperatures are a lot cooler.

Udaigarh was a beautiful place to stay for a few nights on our tour of Rajasthan. we made a good choice stopping here for some days of R&R. we have visited Udaipur before so we're happy taking in easy and not trying to fit all the usual visits in. we utilised the pool during the days which was quier and barely used by other guests, the Hotel staff were polite. The restaurant staff (which is run separately to the hotel) is very popular and is busy of an evening which is good, lots of outside guests visiting. of an evening, the food was excellent and service impeccable. Our rooms were beautiful and spacious and the bed was so comfortable. it was great to learn that there had been. filming done there and some famous faces had stayed.

We had asked for a replen on some supplies in the room and we had to chase it twice over the course of a few hours which was a bit frustrating. The pizza served at lunch was barely edible, the restaurant did take it off the bill but not without a bit of persuading. There was one table in the restaurant that had the best views over the Lake. We tried to book it and were told that it had been reserved for 18 nights in a row for a single man to dine there. From what I understand, he wasn't even a guest at the the hotel. Bit of an arrogant move on his part, and annoying the hotel had honoured it.

The hotel has a lot of positives including great location, views, excellent food, helpful staff, large room size and clean. Would stay here again.

Room 101, wet room was a little small which meant some flooding in front of the sink, lack of natural light in the room due to historical sized windows. The kettle stopped working but was replaced promptly. Pool is unheated and needs more regular cleaning but is usable in warm weather.

Although the location is quite central, the entrance is about 50mtrs in a narrow alleyway from where your tuk tuk/auto rickshaw can drop you. The staff were very friendly and were prepared for our visit. The food was excellent, and so was the view from their terrace, restaurant, and bar. Overall, it was a lovely experience.

No cars can come in the narrow by lanes, so you will be dropped off some distance away, resulting in additional cost for a tuk tuk. The hot water is available at specific timings and has to be requested for other times. The towels weren't that clean, and the shower made the whole bathroom wet and dirty. I would recommend it to my friends, despite a small hiccup that the wrong car was sent for our airport drop-off when we had particularly ordered a specific make due to the size requirements and had paid as such.

The hotel is located in THE BEST location in Udaipur on the lake, near the City Palace. The view from the restaurant and pool are incredible. The hotel is quirky and rooms attractive and the staff are very attentive. It was one of the most expensive hotels we stayed at but also one of the cleanest. Great food in the restuarant. The pool had decent pool loungers with mattresses and towels. Pretty amazing for Northern India!

The bed linen and towels were not as clean as they could be and the pillows were way too hard to use! There was a terrible smell in the bathroom.

Room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable , staff friendly, food breakfast and dinner was very nice, view from restaurant was really nice

The room was sometimes noisy, at night we couldn’t find out where noise came from. Constructing work was going on daytime, so no pool and roof terrace should be mentioned in the room information, or should be rented cheaper than normal…..

The location of hotel is very prime, every tourist spot is within 2 km from this place hence very easy to get there. Roof top restaurant is very nice with beautiful lake view

The staff is extremly nice and helps for whatever is necessary. For instance, it is not possible that a taxi can park in front of the hotel, however someone helped me with carrying to the next street. First breakfast on the roof with excellent view, than directly walk to the City Palace, afterwards relax on the great pool. Very nice rooms.

Pillows could be a little bit softer (do not know why those are always so hard in India) Hot water for shower only in certain timeframes. Misunderstood and than was surprised. Luckily, Germans know from last winter what cold shower means ;-)

Perfect location with a stunning view of the lake from the roof terrace. Rooms were spacious and with real character. The owner was friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was very good and value for money considering the setting and view.

The mattress was very uncomfortable on the first night but this was changed for us as soon as we reported the issue It is quite a noisy building as it is open plan but in a ground floor room we did not hear any noise from the restaurant.
