The room was lovely with a nice view of the ocean. Fantastic location with great snorkeling in front of the hotel. I saw reef sharks, turtles and a load of other species. Great place to watch the sunset behind the mountain. Beds were comfortable and aircon worked well. Close to Rimba cafe which has great food. Nice and quiet.

A fridge in the room would have been good. Also something in the bathroom to put things on, a small cabinet or a shelf. The bathroom sometimes smelt a bit odd but after use it was ok, and I think that plumbing issues are common in Bali. It did not impact on my stay at all.

Great spot to stay in Amed Not far from the Japanese wreck, underwater temple and some of the best snorkelling/diving I’ve ever seen. Basic but huge rooms. Nice little pool. Shampoo and soap in bathrooms

I don't know why other reviews are so low. But this is why we could book and stay at this place with so reasonable price. Even if no breakfast included, there is most poplar cafe in front of hotel which provide good coffee and cake/breakfast. So actually we appreciated it is not included, indeed. And location is superb. just front of big ocean. You can view beautiful Agun-mountain from balcony. You can enjoy snorkeling just front of your room!

They don't even rent snorkeling gears. You have to go neighbor to rent gears. That is quite disappointment.

During our stay we felt happy, friendly staff, strategic location easy for us to find restaurants, stalls or markets. and what makes it even more amazing is the extraordinary view you can watch the sunrise and sunset plus with mount agung, and this is very memorable for us. and we can also snorkel in front of the hotel or you can snorkel 200m from the hotel we saw many turtles. this is really extraordinary. we will come back again with a longer stay, because staying for 1 night is not enough.

The hotel is situated on a lovely street with lots of great cafes and restaurants around. The swimming pool is smal yet gorgeous and right on the beach. My room was huge and comfortable and everything was clean and cozy. It's a typical Asian room and bathroom so if you're expecting fancy fittings you won't get that. The snorkeling right on the shore is also amazing. I saw lion fish, moray eels, ribbon eels, cleaner shrimp, blue spotted ray, trigger fish, porcupine fish, puffer fish and best of all, 2 beautiful sea turtles. There is some current so if you're not a strong swimmer, make sure you have fins. Finally, the staff were so kind and helpful. They greeted me by name every day and helped me organise my transfer to Sanur. I couldn't recommend Alam Bali enough.

That I had to leave after 4 days!

I had booked a regular and a deluxe double room. This review is for the deluxe twin bed double room. We liked the big size of the room and the beds - the pillows were a bit hard. The air condition worked well. There was a chair and an additional place to sit in the room. The balcony was nice with comfortable chairs. The views of Mount Agung and the fishing boats returning from the sea in the early morning were magnificent! The pool was small but nice and easy to access for someone who cannot not walk well. The sea also is accessible there; many people dive. We got drinking water in a big bottle which could be refilled. There also was a water kettle and tea bags. Staff were kind and carried our luggage to the first floor - and down again.

Breakfast was good but not cheap and had to be paid separately.

Honestly we have no notes. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind and accommodating. They helped us arrange a scooter, laundry and snorkeling and sailing excursions. At this price point you honestly can’t beat the location or the views from the rooms - we are talking panoramic sea views and view of Mount Agung. Pool is beautiful and you’re pretty much a few steps from the ocean from the moment you wake up. PS, if you come across two little ginger kittens, they might hiss a bit but they love a snack 🐈 . The shower pressure was great and the water was hot, the A/C was cold and so were the drinks from their fridge downstairs.

Well we were in the best room 07 ! On top floor with no neighbours & all round view of Agung & oceanfront . Only one word for Alam resort ! Absolutely superb in every way . Tinny & staff were just amazing with a beautiful pool & always had icy cold Bintang ready to enjoy . Love Amed & especially this great small hotel with great seafood restaurants nearby .

A bit of shelving in the bathroom would be nice

Simple accomodation in central Amed. Nothing fancy but it has a nice pool to relax in the morning if you don't dive. I booked the rooms upstairs which was spacious and with a nice view. I think it was upgraded from the hotel, thank you.

one of the room downstairs smelled a lot like humid - maybe can help with some more ventilation

The location is great - right on the beach and with views of Mount Agung. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby too - (Rimba is great). The pool area is nice and rooms are comfy and spacious. Staff are very friendly.

Was a really bad smell in first room from the drains, so moved to an upstairs room which was fine.
